  1. HELP I have rear wiper removed but have 2 plugs to cover the holes for the motor and sprayer but cant get the motor out of the hole!!! will show pic of where im at cause it needs to come out i like the no rear wiper look!!! any help would be appreciated
  2. Sounds like good news to me! The only problem with the car is its running pretty rich (it chews the fuel) and black soot covers the rear bar lol Other than that is the broken exhaust manifold stud which im about to try fix which i guess caused a bit of surge hard on the gas in 3rd or 4th About detonation was just curious as to how much boost I could run with this setup, its pretty happy on 14psi which is fairly close to 1 bar right? (my boost guage is in BAR not psi) would 18 psi be ok you think? the guy i bought it off said 18psi is pretty fun haha
  3. If detonation sounds that bad then ive not noticed it yet thank god. I dont have a tuner yet I live in Nothern NSW On the beach there isnt any good tuner shops here i was thinking of taking it to mercury motorsport for a nistune until i can save for a Power FC or whatever

Know of any videos of engine detonation sound? cant find any on youtube My car has these mods atm - HKS 2530 Turbo GTR Injectors GTR Ballast Resistor Pack Bosch 040 Intank Fuel Pump Hybrid Front Mount Z32 AFM Turbo Back 3" Exhaust 5 Puck Brass Button Clutch Car needs tune atm the guy i bought it off had it tuned by PITS in Qld anyone know who they are? Apparently got 220RWKW at 16PSI I need to get it tuned, how much boost is this setup capable of?
  5. Might sound like like a silly question but without a detonation or knock sensor how can you tell if your engine is detonating? Curious because not sure how much a standard internal RB20 can take before breaking conrods n big ends

  7. I just put the 32 into the shed to do this job + a few others as well I bought a cometic exhaust gasket from repco for around $80 and new studs n bolts for around $40. Attempting to do this job over the next week or so Its supposed to be a 4 hour job for someone who hasnt done it yet (me haha) good luck will keep yas posted

Hey I have an R32 GTS-T Series 2 M Spec and mine cut out while driving sometimes..... when it cut out there was nothing like the engine was dead then it would come back on and be normal like nothing happened turned out to be my car battery it didnt have enough charge in it...It got to the point where the starter motor could start my car but if i put my car stereo on the car would lose power bigtime so guess there wasnt enough power to run the fuel pump properly...I never boosted it when it was doing this as detonation was around the corner with the pump not working properly. Hope this helps as since getting a new battery its never played up, could be car alarm too. Cheers

Atm running 14psi with dual stage manual turbosmart boost controller Have thought about getting 6boost or spending 1000+ on low mount turbo extractors would love to have them they would sound really nice with my 3 inch system and hopefully get to 14psi before 4000rpm lol thinking about putting a 26 in it need more torque!!!

Hey guys Ive done a search but cant much info on RB20DET aftermaket lowmount turbo extractors Just need to know best brands for money as im doing a head stud replacement and thought I might upgrade the standard low mount extractors while they are off. Only want low mount as dont really want the boys in blue on my ass for defect etc my ride is engineered but its expensive as people know. Seen a few on ebay and on a few websites looking to spend around $500
  12. Started my car this morning and oil pressure went straight to 4kpa! thats on idle so is that a bad thing? drove to work and it kinda went up a tiny bit but pretty much stayed on 4. any one else have this problem?

I read the owners manual last night and at idle pressure should be 1 kpa, 2kpa at 3000rpm and 4kpa at 6000rpm. on the highway at 100kph my engine sits around 2900rpm and the oil pressure sometimes sits on 3.8kpa and other times sits just above zero lol I will clean the oil sender but really starting to think of getting aftermarket guage, what are some good brands

Oil pressure guage in my 32.... reads 0 to 4 to 8? kpa i think . well mine will only goes to just under 4 but never goes over 4 and after awhile nearly drops to zero when its warm and also when its cold also changes with the car being up or down a hill. I changed the oil 3 days ago with motul turbolight and replaced oil filter and have checked level several times. I noticed this might be an issue as I dont want to kill the engine from lack of pressure what pressure should it be running at?
  15. Found problem!!! Broken 2 bolts off dump of turbo underneath broken due to rapid heating cooling of that area of turbo I guess...and oh found a broken manifold stud as well at the back so hopefully fixing that will fix the whail sound. You can hear the sound in the vid heaps of times all the way through its the noise like a whail sound as the turbo spools up. Will make another vid to better show the noise Thanks for the input guys Very happy skyline owner!
  16. Def not the cooling fan the sound is coming from the turbo side of the engine ahh looks like i will have to pull the piping off and sheck the compresser side of the turbo for play. not a bad movie for a 1.3mp phone mounted in the hole of the headrest
  17. Car started making a weird police siren noise a couple of days ago...its easily heared in the video clip i made, what do u guys think? anyone else come across this noise?
  18. I have similar mods on my 32, Not sure about the miss on idle.... what heat range plugs are you running? try a z32afm. I had bad missfire on boost so I bought new plugs gapped them to 0.08 and cleaned every part of the coil packs and now it never misses a beat on 14psi. maybe one of ur injectors is a lil dirty? run some octane boost n clean through it and see what happens Im sure 14 psi is a bit too much for a stock 33 turbo id go 12 max cheers
  19. HELP!!! NEED ADVICE OK the car was off the road for 3 months while i got it engineered and got it registered its been on the road now for 2 weeks and all these little annoying things have been happening! Grrrr haha All im worryed about is the turbo has gone through some weird noises since its been back on the road like whining and a kinda weird horn noise its so hard to explain it happens coming onto boost as the turbo is spooling up like a faint siren noise but as soon as it builds boost it goes away and makes a normal spool noise, ive done a search and it could be leaking manifold as the very back exhaust manifold stud is broken but its been broken for awhile and this noise happened yesterday. the car hasnt lost any power and pulls hard still but i did notice a hot oil kinda smell after putting my foot down 2nd to 3rd boost read 1 bar still. no noticeable loss of oil in the engine bay either or blowing any smoke out exhaust Could be needing a catch can maybe? I will have a look at the compressor side of the turbo and see if there is any shaft play or fin damage sometime this week If the turbo is shot would it be worth an upgrade or a rebuild? also is it possible to get an rpm meter for the turbo? it would be interesting!!! mm watching the rpm spool would be nice heres what the car has modifyed, R32 GTST SERIES 2 HKS2530 turbo HYBRID FRONT MOUNT 600 BY 300 R32 GTR INJECTORS WITH RESISTOR PACK Z32 AFM TURBOSMART DUEL PORT BLOWOFF VALVE HALF PLUMB BACK HALF VENT TO ATMO RUNNING 1 BAR BOOST TURBOSMART DUEL STAGE BOOST CONTROLLER 3 INCH EXHAUST TURBO BACK

Iv'e noticed a whistle with my HKS 2530 to be more pronnounced after changing to plumb back, its like the turbo spools up to a certain speed at like -0.08bar then as it comes onto boost gets harder to hear and goes away as soon as its on 0.5bar + my 32 is tuned to run around 16psi but the whistle noise im more aware of now since the change from full atmo to plumb back.... does it have to do with the way the air circulates around the intake pipe?

Hey there peeps, Had my 32 for around 2 months now and noticed the HICAS light comes on after around 10 mins of driving, car still drives fine tho ive noticed the oil pressure guage hardly reads sometimes but checked and changed oil+filter and its fine, power steering fluid is fine but in the boot ive noticed a box up underneath the rear parcel shelf with wires coming out going nowhere lol i guess the system is now not working as this was the HICAS ECU? speedo jumps around a bit on hard acceleration sometimes around 90kmh - 100kmh im guessing it needs to be replaced soon anyone else have this issue?
  24. power fc and ebc sounds like the go, the ecu it has atm must be tuned fairly rich, it blows a fair bit of black smoke when on full boost and on start up so hopefully it will be alright on 12psi. only reason i want an rb25 is for bottom end cheers for the input
  25. Yeah was looking at a 6BOOST exhaust manifold but is around $1000 power FC are around $1800? id rather the power fc Has anyone got the same kinda mods as mine and if so how much power?
