You want the version that boots from DOS, can generally find it on say Hiren's/Diamond Boot CD, but I think the bundled version may be out of date, you should be able to find a newer version somewhere. The newer version will tell you what is wrong, as it supports the newer hard drives. You can use an older version, but it will just say Overtemp if there is an issue with newer drives. Aren't you supposed to be doing reports!?

SMART may not be tripped, Seatools will tell you exactly what the issue is. ie, Overtemp, Bad Sectors, SMART, etc etc.

I would say your hard drive is failing. Run a Seatools on it and that should tell you.

I generally get there about 6:30pm if I leave after work, everyone else turns up around 7-7:30pm

I think it is cut so it runs in High boost all the time - I dont know, as I never did that mod with mine, I went the whole hog instead. Don't worry, I'll make up for it soon enough once I pull my engine apart to diagnose the issue it now has.

Saw a Yellow Stagea turning left onto Marion Road at about 5:50pm, and then onto the Southern Expressway. Silver R33 in Seaford at about 6:15pm - AAHH 33, I think.

That's correct Pete, I am going for the internal Hard Drive type, so I don't have another box sitting outside the PS3 (less cables and mess). I'll buy them this arvo when I get back from Work, in-case anyone else wants one.
