  1. I reckon they will announce the Dates around March, I think that is when they announced in 2011, I too am eager to know the dates.
  2. You mean that Ad?
  3. Not anymore its not, lol I may head down if I can be bothered braving the heat...yay for poor a/c at home
  4. I know I have been saying I'll upload photos of the Dash, etc....well I finally got off my ass and here they are. My Tuner got the clutch all sorted...took awhile but he got there. Lots of small issues, that were a PITA as you didn't know about them till the gearbox was in. For a highend brandname clutch lots of modifying and special bearings etc to get it to work. But once it is in and working, a really good clutch. So today - 21-12-12, on the World is apparently supposed to end, and the day my Tuner closes for Christmas Holidays, we threw it on the Dyno Here is the final power she made Just need to sort out the boost drop and a few boost spike issues now, and I'll boost her up some more...Real fun to drive now, even though it is slightly more powerful then the orginal engine, she produces lots more torque Merry Christmas/Holidays and Happy New Year Everyone
  5. Hmm, Ok I will have to have a look into it, I think I was using something like a 24mm bearing before as it was apparently a big difference between the sizes. The bearing in the crank shouldn't matter, as it wasn't replaced and was working before...unless something happened on install. There shouldn't be an airpocket as we did bleed it for awhile with no air bubbles coming out.
  6. Okay...I need some help please! I recent bought a OS Giken Twin Plate TS2CD second hand, it was recently rebuilt about 5000kms ago and came out of an early R32 GTR. I spoke to Otomoto who happens to be the OS Giken distributor in Australia, and they suggest I get a 12mm Sleeve release Bearing...which I did. I have had the clutch installed just the other day, and a few issues have arisen. The clutch doesn't seem to engage/disengage correctly, you can have your foot on the clutch, try and put it in first (while the engine is running) and most of the time the car will begin to creep forward (if the brake is off) but not go into gear, same can be said for reverse, and really any other gear. Sometimes it will go in, but it goes in with a bit of force not freely like it should. Sometimes when either driving, or trying to put it in gear to take off, it will crunch/grind as it goes in. Quite often when going for 4th or 5th, it will sound like you are trying to put it into reverse while driving, or even down shifting or up shifting you go for another gear, and it just won't go in. What can I do to fix it!?...other then buying another Clutch. Other info: 12mm Release Sleeve Bearing Push Rod has been shortened Stock Slave Cylinder Braided Clutch Line Clutch Pedal has been adjusted inside the cabin
  7. Cheers, yeah I know, a few others have said that as well, I don't really care as it looks better then it did before. 08-12-12 Since 5th December my tuner has had my car to install the Clutch, and my Oil Relocation. Went round there today to help bleed the clutch, he installed a HEL Braided Clutch Line I also supplied as where he wanted to mount my oil filter, there was a heap of Clutch Pipe work which we could remove with the Braided Clutch Line. I had emailed Otomoto earlier the week before as they are the OS Giken distributor in Australia, and was told I need a 12mm Sleeve Release Bearing which I bought and supplied for the clutch install. Install went fine with the bolt heads measuring 8.8mm and my tuner taking them down to 8mm as per the Instructions. However he didn't take take the 4mm off the candle stick/front housing which the Instructions say, and OS Giken say which we found out Saturday morning when my Tuner rang Otomoto with a few concerns he had. They told him to ring Western Clutch and Brake, which funnily enough had rebuilt my clutch sometime before I had bought it, and they said they have never removed the 4mm when they install, and to check a few things to see if the clutch was working etc, which we did. It turned out with the Clutch pedal down and gearbox in 1st gear, you couldn't spin the tailshaft by hand, or with leverage....damn , so a bit of adjustment with the Pedal rod inside the car and we got that working, so all god now!? Nope! Start the engine, clutch in, go for any gear and it is knotchy and grinds, DAMN IT!! You can still get it into gears every now and then. When going for first with the clutch in the car starts moving forward as you try and "force" it in....so at the moment getting gears is a pain in the ass, but not impossible so I drove it home about 20km away from the workshop. Was a very interesting drive at the least, hard to get gears, and sometimes when going for 4th would grind the gears like it was trying to go in reverse. If I had to stop, I would have to try and take off in a higher gear if I couldn't get first on the down-shift while slowing down, generally it was a take off in 2nd gear which was made interesting with the twin plate and revving it up to compensate. So we are going to try and sort it out this week, my tuner will hopefully be on the phone again to Western Brake and Clutch sometime Monday. So overall not too bad, car is moveable, just a pain in the ass, oil pressure and temp gauges now wired up with the oil filter relocation and an oil change. Just need to sort out the clutch issues and then a TUNE!!
  8. I'll be there tonight, usual time of about 630pm till whenever, if anyone shows up, if not I'll probably leave about 730 or 8. Sadly no R33 tonight, currently at the Tuners having my Twin Plate installed, oil filter relocation kit, oil change and a tune on 16psi sometime tomorrow
  9. Jaycar also sell one too
  10. You better make it worth my Donation I look forward to seeing your video.
  11. I'll be heading to vilis for a bit tonight, anyone else?
  12. 28-11-12 Picked up my Modified ASI 42mm Radiator from my Tuner on my way home, also picked up some new coolant concentrate. Got home and left the car to cool down for a few hours, and then began ripping the Clutch Fan, Shroud and Radiator out. Got it all out, and began to flush the Coolant system. I then began swapping the Sensor from the Stock Radiator over to the ASI Radiator, aswell as the Shroud. All surprisingly fitting like stock, no modification to the shroud needed, and the sensor port didn't need tapping, a big plus when compared to other "cheaper" brands that cost more than the ASI. Began bolting it all back together, and managed to drop one of the Clutch fan nuts into the gravel below...which I couldn't find Night began to fall, I was hot, sore back and greasy, time to call it a night. 29-11-12 Thank goodness for days in lieu. Pushed the car forward to look for the missing nut...found it , disconnected the heater hoses I had looped ages ago when the heater core was leaking and did another coolant flush from there. Tried installing the Silicone hoses I got with my ASI Radiator and 1 of them wouldn't fit over the thermostat housing...whatever, I'll stick with the stock ones till they fail then. Connected all the hoses up, and tightened the clamps, plumbers tape on the Water Temp sensor (its a 2 wire sensor so no worries about the grounding), and bolted that up. Poured in the 1L of Coolant Concentrate and filled the rest up with Rainwater, left the radiator cap undone and started the car, kept topping it up until the Thermostat opened and the level began to rise by itself so I put the cap back on and opened the bleeder valve, and left it idling awhile, while keeping an eye on the Temp Gauge which slowly crept its way up to 80c, left it there awhile and then turned it off to cool down for awhile so I can top it up if it needs it. I'll post some pics of the Interior and Radiator this afternoon once it has cooled down outside.
  13. Kahli's car has changed since that video was taken, Last I saw it had "art work" along one side, and the driver of the one I saw was a youngish guy. I have seen him around at my work before and had a bit of a chat.
  14. Spotted a White R32 with maybe a R34 front end conversion and Orange rims on south road near the Vic, driver was getting a talking to by a bike cop.
  15. Who is going to be at vilis this week? I'll be there from about 630/7pm till about 8. I am looking at you Pistol Pete
  16. Been awhile since I said I would update this, been busy working on the R33 and work...and generally lazy, lol. So the Carbon Wing caps look like this October 14th The new Heater Core already to be installed A few pictures of the Underlay going down November 4th Carpet going in Carpet almost done, just a few touch ups here and there. Dash in Place, just needs to be bolted in with the kick and other panels. You can also see the R34 V-Spec II Pedals, looks really good. The Brake and Clutch Pedals were a PITA to put on, but well worth it, the Accelerator was easy. November 17th Everything is all done, a few pics of the Leather Gaiters A picture of the dash and steering wheel...and a bit of my mate Tim who came around to lend a hand. The other Day I bought an ASI 42mm Alloy Rad from Ebay and some Silicone Radiator Hoses. I have dropped the Alloy Radiator off to my Tuner to get his Fabricator to modify the Radiator to take my Water Temp Sensor, as well as modify the Oil Relocator block to take the Oil Temp Sensor. My Tuner also has my Speedflow fittings for the Oil Relocator kit. Pics of these and more of the dash/interior later.
  17. Yeah, Standard valves with 8.5 cams
  18. The pistons in my build hang out by 10-15 thou, I am using a 1.5mm head gasket from memory. You could possibly have valve reliefs cut into the pistons, or have the pistons shaved and balanced again. Best bet to speak to Rhemac or another engine builder/machine shop
  19. Spotted Fliggy at my place helping with my dash install, and Ben (ahhbee) at my neighbour's (best mate) and fiance engagement party.
  20. Spotted Panzer on South Road Aldinga at about 7:15pm tonight.
  21. Could have been Rob (Panzer)
  22. I'll be there from about 615/630. For anyone new I'll be in my blue jaycar work shirt.
  23. Went on a bit of an Ebay Spree. Bought some Carbon Fibre Wing End Caps the other month from China that arrived the other day, as per most China parts, it doesn't fit correctly, nothing a bit of a grind can't fix. Also bought some Leather Items from Top Gaiters in England which I am waiting to arrive. Bought some replacement Carpet from Knox Auto Carpets in Victoria, ordered it on a Sunday (28th) and it arrived today on Wednesday (31st). I shall put it in the car this Sunday and take some Photos.
  24. No idea, I paid about $250-$270 for mine.
  25. Here you go, I am sure you can find someone in NSW from here to do it.
