  2. with the standard sump/baffles i think its more about oil surge. and thats with any pump, including the stocker. once u start makin power and launchin forward at silly g's the oil dont wanna stay still. which is why u must use more oil, 6-6.2l to stop it. and yeah ^^ once u reach 8.5 bar the relief valve opens anyway (in my nitto). and with a nitto if the high pressure it not needed, take the inner spring out and at 6 bar its gonna piss back into the sump. if your oil returns can beat your oil restrictor with flow, your sweet.

  8. sorry to hear mate, i feel for u. when i first put my motor back together, and after the first drive, the timing belt done itself up reeeeal fuggin tight. no idea how but when it was hot it was tight. your tensioner may have snapped because even if it comes loose it should not really skip teeth. its still pretty tight even with the bolt loose. im not sure about huge cams like yours, but mine which are stock can not come into contact with the piston if the cam gears come completely loose. really hope its nothin too big mate.

  15. u will have a more reliable idle with all that gear in the bin, seriously.
  16. knock readings go to 100+ bcos of start up. reset it after u start the car.

  18. r32 gtr oil pump failure at just under 400whp. early 32. failed on dyno and was caught at the exact moment, then shut off straight away. bearings rods and pistons are all like new. i could have put them straight back in with a new oil pump and collar. this was a perfect car when i got it, had never ever been modded at all. but one thing i noticed when doing a belt change was how easily the balancer came off. they should be painful to get off was rpm limited at 8000, any stock motor should be 75000 imo. plus i rarely exceed 7500rpm now anyway lol.
  19. when u put 6l in did it fill up to the hump tho ?? did u try it on the dyno with the extra oil in (no g's there) ? get an aftermarket gauge, make sure the oil is up to the hump and if it still drops its almost gotta be the backing plate screws coming loose.
  20. interested to see the results as i never tested mine back to back. and if they work anywhere near as good as they look, youre gonna be very happy. my core looked amazing, i have had hi quality coolers b4 but this looked really tech.

  22. mine pops when cold, i got the same gear as u. are u runnin oxy sensors ? or maybe 3 and 4 runner are gettin different air flow when tb is shut ??
