  1. jus goin jpc billet gears now mate. to do the nitto properly i really need the sump, restrictor and bigger drain back.
  2. absolutely, billet gears are only $370 tho.
  3. once again if you read the thread i never blamed the balancer at all. i was told that by a very experienced and reliable source, actually quite a few of them. if u do a search on here there is quite a bit of history.
  4. any tuner with experience will tell u the d jetro is a drag computer only. costs less to tune an apexi with afm's, and is smoother on the street.
  5. if u have a read of the thread u will know why
  6. ^^ nah its tight trust me, tested the thing b4 i put it on. then done the vvft procedure. it fitted very snug, excellent fit. any hoo with all the stories im now scared to use this thing with the nitto pump. the ross is probably an awesome balancer, but i dont know that.
  7. dont the stock bovs have to be plumbed in ? did u check all piping ?
  8. timing belt loose now aswell ...
  9. people kept telling me after the failure that this is a problem with ross balancers. but now im not so sure because so many people use them. surely a brand new balancer of this brand cannot be attributed with the pump failing ?? ill make some calls tomorrow to get as much reliable info as possible. just snapped a half inch drive trying to remove the balancer aswell, happy days
  10. cut open the filter and there is 2 very tiny chunks. thats all. the engine was shut down straight away so i think im very lucky and could have been alot worse was making no engine noise either.
  11. yeah cheers mate. i was well aware of what could happen, but more seem to survive than not. i just dont know now what to do. keep the ross balancer and get a billet pump or a new std nissan balancer. or maybe ati ?? ahhh i dunno.
  12. thanx mate it let go bout 8k, never revved past that. and yeah totally stock pump.
  13. nismoid pls dont close this thread. i had my oil pump fail today on the dyno at just under 400awhp and i am hearing conflicting stories that the ross balancers can do this. i was told that an ati or a new stock nissan balancer would be much better. has anyone had any oil pump problems with a ross balancer fitted ? what power were u running ? i know of the early 32 oil pump drive probs but i did not think that they were this weak, and have not heard of them failing this early in the game. especially with a good brand new balancer. opinions pls.
  14. can u pls youtube it, those photobucket vids never work 4 me.
  15. thanx alot mate, yer the ts2cd seems to be bedding in nicely. note that the input shaft cover thingy has to be cut down and they only tell you this at the start of the manual also the thread AND the heads of the flywheel bolts need trimming !!!!!
  16. can u post up some dyno sheets pls ??
  17. awesome !! is this car still kicking ?
  18. thanx mate but ive already paid for the clutch. i ended up swapping for the ts2cd bcos the wrong kit got sent to me. very hard to find info on these clutches seems no one uses them. you only know the kit is wrong after you get it and open it up
  19. anyone have a twin plate os ?? need info.
  20. if there is somethin in there i have not already read, ill be buggered thanx alot mate, much appreciated.
  21. thats who will do the job. but i need experiences with the os.
  22. farrrr out, i have already purchased an os str twin plate and now im thinkin it wont handle much power ... i am aiming for around 350rwk. its rated at 550 engine hp. i never even thought to look at what the rating was because thats not too much power, and for $2500 + 2 plates thought it would laugh at 500whp :( one option i have is to rebuild it b4 it goes in ..... so who is running an str and is it holdin up ?? i have googled and searched this forum for days now and cant find anythin or anyone runnin one on decent power. opinions pls !!!
  23. just follow the wires up from the sender and check the connections
