Leaking Rear Suspension
Silver_GT replied to HotPlates's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
just clear the defect and put your other suspension back in. Unless you only changed your springs from low to standard, which would explain the leaking shocks. -
kudos motorsport sell a 100km service kit for sub $500 i believe. worth it if u can do it urself like i did
-
Not always the dealer that do the rewinding, 10-12 year old car (that is likely to be used as a daily in jap land, not llike a NUR GTR) with 50,000km? rarely.

Compliancing Question.
Silver_GT replied to CeJay's topic in Importing, Compliance, Modification Laws & Regulations
if you only just found out about it what makes you think the compliancer or importer knew about it? especially if its just the abs module, none of the big engine bay gear. Dont go pointing fingers just yet, roadworthy doesnt check for abs working, just a simple brake test, and theres no way that any agent in japan should be expected to make sure the abs in every car they purchase functions correctly, in fact that would be near impossible. -
and i believe the stocks are 15w peak lol just from memory.

i like this alot, awesome for a track car. Is she one of the few people in the world who actually use a pen/texta till it completely runs out? before loosing it or accidently leaving the cap off? lol

sounds like a air flow meter issue, usually when theyre unplugged it wont rev past 2500rpm, i suggest taking off air flow meter, making sure its dried out really good, maybe blow some air through it, light coat of wd40 on the termnials and plug it back in, see if it helps ! Check your air filter too, if it got drenches its probly clogeed itself

Silver_GT replied to wideslider's topic in General Automotive Discussion
a vid stolen off youtube, specially one thats more than 2 years old, to be used by a news team can hardly be called an exclusive video, really, .... but r31nismoid the other two points you made are valid -

my gf woke me up last night to show me that story, i called bullshit last night in my half-sleep. this just makes me angry, the flogged footage from youtube, slaped an exclusive logo on it and made up a story about it. lol -
hey mate props on the effort, althought i agree about the surge tank being in the boot, i rekon itd both look better and be safer under the car, keep ur boot for ur stereo only, surge tank hidden.

personal import laws
Silver_GT replied to a topic in Importing, Compliance, Modification Laws & Regulations
you must live in japan and own the vehicle for it to be eligible for a personal import. So not, that wouldnt work. -
'00 R34 Wheel Alignment
Silver_GT replied to JEPPE's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
skylines have adjustable camber standard via eccentric bolts, just not alot, only enough to deal with stock heigh really. This ^^ i did this because my cars low, and went n got camber+toe adjustable arms for the rear to get wrid of my tire chewing problem. But first take it somewhere like pedders, if there is something broken they'll find it, might be expensive and "mainstream" but they do good work, and good allignments. -
getting kicked out of the states lol what a load of crap

Up she goes =] -
i would usually condemn a bodykit on an oldschool mazda but i really like his front bar suits it nicely! Was going to go all out with the engine on mine, but couldnt bring myself to do it, because it will only get me in trouble, and knowing me ill probly sell it not long after its done haha, so thought i'd just leave it as a cruiser with a nice reliable setup, just got a freshend up 12a in her

Might as well post I Promised Myself id at least get my project S3 Rx7 "Driveable" (Be able to move under its own power at least) By the time i go back to work after my break, not going to happen seeing i go back on monday! But I Gave it a crack, just been so busy with other stuff, i need another week off! Was pretty much just a shell 4 weeks ago, Got all the Brakes In With s5 BMC, Dropped Engine in (Fully Prepped and Painted it up in True Rotary Style ) its rediculous how much little things need doing when u start from a shell, Today i Got the fuel pump and wiring sorted out, put the tailshaft in and put the oil cooler in (sortof) so to start it now ive just got a bunch of wiring to sort out/hide in the bay, and fill it up with fluids Things was fully stripped and painted, the colour looks fantastic in the sun! Pics; As it sat not very long ago. How The Motor and Box Looked When i pulled it outta the donor vehicle (terrible) And How The Same Motor (Different Box) Looks in The New Shell No emmissions crap and fully painted up So yes thats been keeping me busy! Maybe a few more weeks?

That just jogged my memory of something i witnessed on NYE after i left where i was, so probly round 1:30am Skyline (r33 maybe? lol was too drunk) pulled into the servo we were walking past, followed by a highway patrol car, skyline kid hangs his head all the way out the window, looked absolutely off guts, looks at the HP car behind him, guns it out of the servo and boosts it up the road, Highway car in pursuit of course. JUST what the skyline drivers in wollongong need was quite an amusing thing to see at the time time however, it just happend so quickly, or my mind was just working too slowly

Bump Make a Offer -
Just bought new rubber for my spare set of r34 Wheels so the old ones are up for sale. These Rims are near immaculate (few minor scratches not even worth mentioning really, but im honest) and come with all centre caps. Included Tyres are 235/45 Kuhmo Ecsta AST (ku25's) but ARE NOT ROADWORTHY, but are still good to drive on (i still would be if i didnt have to get a pink slip yesterday) Outsides of Tyres Better than insides (Thankyou Camber) So could even be good to flip around. Will Also throw in 2x 235/45 Dunlops which are around 40-50% Tread I Believe if the Buyer Wants Them. Price is $350ono. Pickup from Wollongong Pics Rims On My Car (Even though we all know what they look like) Tread (All Tyres Roughly The Same)
