  1. x2 actually, my clutch aint gonna last forever, good to know what sort it is before i pull the box off to change it (if that time ever comes!)
  2. been covered several times, do a search. but in the end, its not worth doing.
  3. from the sounds of it your burnout probly killed it. Not enough revs or didnt dump it hard enough, or the clutch was just old. New clutch, upgrade to better things! Stick with a heavy Duty Organic clutch seeing its a gt.
  4. depends where your idle is set, if its set at factory 650rpm (which most cars dont seem to be anymore) then oil pressure can be down around 15, if it idling around 1000rpm it will be up around 25-30 (on my r34 this holds true anyway, im assuming it would be the same in all rb's)
  5. ah the joys of having an rta whod never ever done an import before within 20mins drive, the closest one has a VIIU Station at it, i went there first to "enquire" about resgistering an import, told me id need an identity check etc. so a few days later after i got my blue slip i went to the one a little further away (its a smaller one) and the nice lady at the counter asked her manager what to do, her manager said treat it as any unregistered car, she took copies of all my paperwork and i was on my way with shiny new number plates. I know where im goin next time!
  6. while on topic, how much adjustment do the isc/jjr camber arms usually give?
  7. if RB's are like any other nissan family engine swap (which ill be my left nut that they are) youll be fine using your old loom, maybe some things need minor mods, but they wouldnt be anything to go to town about, nissan would be crazy to make them very different (if at all)
  8. Check out the exchange rate for yourself mate, bout a year ago it was up around the 100yen/1AUD its dropped down to 60 and as of today its back up round 68yen
  9. thing is mate the shit economy has driven the price of imports up now, so people can sell them for more, so as you say, it will be even more difficult to find a good example for the money you want to spend. I travelled to vic. for mine,a s you know (somethin i never thought i'd do) but i was lucky to have gotten a car they imported before the economic downturn, These days its costing up to $15000 to get a good example into the country let alone complied. Ah well if ur ever interested in a silver one, let me know. Like i said, its not on the market, but if someone offers the right amount i'd sell it no worries. So until that day its just gonna have more money put into it lol
  10. mines not on the market, but everything is for sale am i right? few pics in here http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/R34gt-t262894.html
  11. it comes up turbo/non turbo on the car details when they punch ur plate in. so it'd cause some dramas there, unless you got a engineer cert. and went n got a blue slip and re-rego'd your car as a non turbo, hence changing the rta's details, hence changing the police's records.
  12. It was somethin theyd already landed
  13. 2x Exhaust Manifolds? Will you sell one? how mucho?
  14. well im not gonna argue with results haha, i successfully used 4 gauge in my SSS, but in saying that, the starter would draw a bit less current in a 4cyl. Point Noted.
  15. haha yep at least... it feels faster when its lower to the ground, Being N/A it needs all the help it can get haha... Not gonna say exactly what it cost me, but if i was to sell it now, id make a good number on top of what i paid (thankyou carizma for buying this before the financial meltdown making imports expensive )
  16. damn just filled up yesterday im sure theres some room for v-power tho. by then.
  17. Story Goes, I Sold My SSS for a little less than i was after but still got a good price for it. In The Meantime i was driving the VP bommodore around (which i sold to a mate to use in a smash up derby when the rego ran out, fun!) and searching for a new car, I really didnt know what i wanted at all... Had a look at several Audi A3 Turbo's, A Couple of BMW's, a SSS again and even took An Autech N15 2 Door for a test drive. I pretty much decided the euro thing wasnt for me so took a day trip to sydney to have a look at the import yards. Still Being on my P's for another 2 years my choices were fairly limited. But after looking at a few R34's I pretty much decided thats what I wanted. After concluding all the N/A ones in sydney were either incredibly overpriced OR were not in good enough condition, i set about looking at other states and came across one in victoria at an importer Called CARIZMA. I got them to send me through plenty of high-res pics, made an offer which was too low the first time but came back with a higher offer which they accepted. So after putting down a deposit, a couple weeks later i was on the plane to Melbourne, Flew Out of sydney at 7am and was Back Home by 7:30pm, massive day but it was worth it. Not a whole lot to tell about the car really... Its completely stock in every way except the headunit (which im impressed with!) -12/98 Build Date -KV2 Silver -90000kays -5 Speed -RB25DE -Factory LED Tail Lights -Immaculate Inside and Out -All New Fluids and Filters In Compliance with uhmm... Compliance. -Fully Complied -Factory HID Headlights -Carbon Fibre Centre Console Pics: First Two are on the journey Home, others are ones Carizma Sent to me (Havnt had a chance to take any pics yet) Its great having a Standard Immac. Car to work with; UPDATE: Cars Finally lowered and i got myself some Buddy Club D1 Coilovers, woohoo! Bout time it wasnt a bus anymore. Not a real lot to say but i got some new pics too. Enjoy The Coilovers; Compared To Standard, Much Prettier Get Tuckin' The R34 'Chillin' after its suspension surgery One From the Front Fast arse Ive also got a 2.5" Catback with a straight through muffler and a hotdog. with a factoryish looking twin tip. i like it EDIT: I've also just got the windows tinted (to match the rear quarter and rear window) no pics yet
  18. think ill wait till i do my sound deadening then, bloody door trims creak on the doors since ive put my coilovers in lol. if nyone else has any ideasin the meantime - much appreciated they will be.
  19. The window rattles are starting to annoy me now when the window is half down or whatever, has anybody actually taken the time to fix this? I know its a somewhat common problem, and its not a big issue as my windows are rarely "half down" but i like things to be perfect anyone got any ideas? Cheers
  20. could be the soldering on the inside of your afm also going from the plug pins to the circut board, aparantly they often fail
  21. It'll rev up to around 2200rpm fine without the afm generally, good enough test for me bought a 2nd handy anyway, we'll see how it goes, pretty confident tho. No idea what a new one is worth, problem like $500
  22. what brand/Model tyres are on them now?
  23. Just to end this guys for somebodys future reference, it was the AFM (Will be confirmed monday when mine comes in the mail) But i disconnected it and started the car up, usually if i hold the revs at 1500 it would splutter every few seconds, with the afm disconnected it does not, seems to be it!
  24. mate id have to double check it so dont quote me, as im not sure weather it stays open or closed when the motor is off, if you can figure that out, then it will do the same with the solenoid unplugged.
  25. mate pull the plug on the solenoid for that valve and it'll stay open all the time (pretty sure its default is open ay) its not hard to find, back of the motor, left side on top of the rocker cover
