I'm getting 18's on the weekend. I have a r33 gts-t and I'm wondering if it will need to be lowered to look half decent. I'm in a little bit of a dilema atm... I either go 18's or 19's. I prefer 18's as rubber is cheaper and I tend to go through it quickly plus it may be better when I finally start attending track days. Problem is I want the rubber to be in line with the rear guard, I don't expect the rim to be covered without heavy lowering, but to have the rubber in-line with the rear guard lip would be nice. I'm also getting a GTR front bar fitted soon to help with the FMIC and I don't want to scrub it out to much, so ground clearance is a bit of an issue as well. If anyone here has 18's on their 33's I'd love to see some pics... also if you could include a msg stating whether you have lowered it and by how much it would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.

Hi, I'm tossing up between a standard GTR or the 400R front bars. Which one is lower? Practicality is an issue when leaving the carpark at work so it can't be too low. I really like the side vents on the 400R item but I'm sure it looks lower in the picture.

which sensor are you talking about? Is it that plastic thing with the "H" on it that sits on that yellow plate? My HICAS light comes on as well after about 15mins driving... I don't feel any differences in the car though, so does the light actually mean its not working, ris it just a warning? might have to remove the hicas bulb from the instrument cluster...

how much for the rear passenger side pod?

problem solved... the wires needed are green and black for anyone interested... The spare wires were for the now "non-existant" airbag..shhhhh

I don't have a problem with the HICAS. Just can't figure out which are the horn wires!

Hey ppl, I just removed the factory steering wheel and fit a MOMO wheel in its place. Question is the momo comes with one black earth wire with a clip, and has two terminals on the back of the horn. There are about 5 horn wires that I clipped from the 'line... anyone got any ideas which are what? The wires I'm talking about are the ones from the clip towards the bottom of the steering wheel that goes from the column to original horn. Also... since I removed the original horn clip/plug my quiktrak seems to be playing up. Were any of those wires used for something else? It seems to play up whenever I leave the Turbo Timer on.? puzzled....

hmmm make sure you pull the plastic rectangular cover off from underneath the steering wheel. Then undo the plug that you see under there, that will disconnect the airbag. remove 2 side screws as covered by Nrage33, you will need a tamperproof T50 driver. If you can't get a tamperproof, use a screwdriver to break the "point" out of each of the bolts then use a normal T50. Everything will slide out then...

i was going to cut the bumper support anyway as I'm probably going to be putting a gtr bar on in the near future...

I'm fitting a fmic next week... can I keep the stock airbox, or will the intercooler pipes hit the plastics? I hope I can keep the airbox... I jut bought a K&N Panel filter for it

I use meguires for everything except tyres... The best tyre shine is the VIP tyre shine, it comes in can with a paint brush. I ditched the brush and use a bigger one from the local hardware. Just paint it on and the tyres look like they are wet for about a week!

I wonder if it is legal to mount the number plate towards the right-hand side of the front bar?.. Reason I ask is because next week i'm putting my front-mount on and I want to modify the factory bar by cutting that number plate section out (R33 S1 front bar). I suppose it is still mounted on the front of the vehicle and the visibility would be the same as if it were positioned in the original location.

i had my car stripped at Merrylands Hoyts.... now I just park in disabled right near the front door hasn't been touched yet! I know ur gong to melb to watch the flick now, but if you did end up in sydney I'd say go to Reading Cinemas in Auburn. It's a relatively new complex and the screens/sound is really good.
