  1. Hi Baron, It's next Sunday week on the GP Circuit at OP. Next Sunday thought there is a meeting at Eastern Creek for Southern District, AROCA, Holden Car Club, NSWRRC. I recently joined Southern District Sporting Car Club because they have heaps of Supersprints and cheap too (around the $140 mark). If you join one of the competing clubs you will be able to compete for sure. Ian
  2. Yep, I had to replace it last week. Nissan was going to get the exact pipe from Japan but they had one the same with the 90* bend in it that was a little longer in stock so I just trimmed it to length.
  3. Duncan, they are A032. Arn't they any good mate? You scared me and i ran two brand new RE55s WETTIES on the back. Jessusss they stick like **** to a blanket , hopefully i'll get another day out of them. Tyres are a worry expensive and wear quickly. Anyway next Sunday week at OP on the GP curcuit 2nd last round. Ian
  4. Hi Duncan, had a few hiccups . C&V fitted the swirl pot and 044 during the week and all was good until just after startup, fuel pissing out of the stocko rubber fuel line that connects metal fuel pipe to the new 044. On inspection they obvioulsy pushed off the rubber pipe with a screwdriver and punctured the line. Not a biggie and they replaced the original rubber with a new bit. Driving down to Sydney on Saturday afternoon on the expressway just around the Berowra turnoff, temperature soares from 78* to 115*, pull over immediately and coolant all gone. Shiekes, rang mate in Forster that worked for a towing business and he came down and picked me and the car up ($300) went back to Forster and he put a pressure tester on the radiator and found a pipe under the intake manifold had busted. Removed starter motor and fixed that refilled with water and by that time it was around 2.30am Sunday morning. So rang dad and got him to drive me to Eastern Creek. Car ran fantastic, couldn't improve on my fastest time but close with 1.49.5790. that was on my second lap of the first run and I recon I drove faster and better later during the day but times proved otherwise. Won class SVD and have a good lead with 2 rounds remaining. Results on Natsoft. Ceeya Duncan Ian Hey Duncan, have you heard about anything that relates to times on the track, not improving in the afternoon as compared to the morning? Ian
  5. Ahhhh the tubes arrived today in the mail, thanks mate. Ken
  6. Hmmmm I've been waiting nearly 3 weeks now. Paid up and all. Ken
  7. Duncan, Next weekend at EC, I'm doing OK leading Class SVD, getting the 044 FP and swirl pot fitted on Tuesday and retune and should be going good. I've worn out the front re55s and have a near new pair of R compound Yoko Advans to put on. Getting desperate now that i'm spoiled using sticky tyres...LOL I'll keep you informed Duncan, I'm going to try and come down and watch you at Wakfield..Good luck Ian
  8. Hey Duncan, any news on the coolant leak? I fitted a brand new PWR radiator and top and bottom hose this week, just as a safe guard because I havn't had any temperature problems up to date and bugger me if the little hose behind the head that connects the turbo water return starts pissing coolant. Bastard of a job to replace the tiny hose.. Anyway I eventually fixed it and i was thinking maybe this might be the hose that let go on your car. I imagine GTR's would have a similar water return? Hope that's all it is mate. Ian
  9. Hi xr8eater, Have you sent me the 2 tubes I paid for yet. Thanks...Ken
  10. Speedflow make fittings that enable either a push on hose and clamp or a threaded dash fitting. Unforturately you have to purchase a Speedflow valve fitting as well and scrap the Bosch valve. I know because i purchased the items last week from the Speedflow factory in Taree. Cost around $50.
  11. Bad luck Duncan.... Do you know where the coolant escaped from? Radiator, hoses or heater hose? Did you drive the car to the track mate? Good on ya mate. Ian
  12. Congratulations Duncan, excellent time mate...Good luck on Sunday. Jeeesssusss running out of fuel with 2 laps to go must have been a worry leaning out? I must carry too much fuel cause I always have 1/2 tank. Ian
  13. Please PM me your banking details. thank you
  14. Hfi zoom, sounds like you might have a VL turbo with the waste gate integral with the dump. The VG30 bolts up to the stock dump normally. Ian
  15. Sorry Pete...Have you tried "The Toy Shop" in Newcastle?. They recon they had one when i was looking for one. Just make sure whoever says they have one that it is the "RIGHT" VG30. I got the wrong one originally and had to take it back. Just in passing, I raced at Oran Park on Sunday and I was .3sec outside my fastest time on the GP Circuit. The GCG with the VG30 housing is incrediably powerful and is different to the normal GCG Hiflow. You have to wait a little till the car is fairly straight before you can plant your foot cause it wants to spin the wheels a lot and bring the tail around. Maybe with newer tyres I will do a lot better as I flatspotted one of the front tyres badly (down to the cords) and the RE55's are just about had it. Had heaps of fun on the day and the Skyline was hootin. Results are on www.natsoft.com.au There were about 15 WRX's there including 2.5l STi's and not one WRX bettered my time. Ian
  16. Matt, Levin's want around $380 for 235.45.17.. I think Donnellans in Melbourne are a bit cheaper even including transport. Ken
  17. Pete, give Brett a call at GCG and ask him what options are available. He has done everything you can think of with Nissan Turbos. He knows what he's talking about too. Ian
  18. Hi Pete. I don't know if GCG uses these all the time buy they built mine with Ceramic Angular Ball Bearings. Ian
  19. Paul, the 044 turned up today, that's what I call prompt service. All in perfect order. Thanks Paul Ken
  20. Hi Al, I'm no authority on anything but on Tuesdaywhen I was having a check up on the Dyno at C&V when the GTs-t made 273.9, I'm pretty sure Con said my injector duty cycle was showing 80%, and with the A/F dropping off Con concluded that the Fuel Pump was maxing out. That was with Nismo 550 injectors, Sard FPR and R34 FP. I asked him if he could screw the FPR a little so that it could make up for the shortage and he didn't like the idea...Said the only solution was a bigger FP and swirl pot. With those extra mods Al (Head Porting etc..Seriously.. your looking at making close to [email protected] kid you not. Ian
  21. HaHaHa..yeah...I read in one of Sydneykids threads a while back that the GTR fuel pumps are good to around the 270ish kw
  22. Thats what i'm saying Pete, you'll be right on the limit of the fuel pump. Ian
  23. No sorry, I only had the VG30 in my possession for about 15 minuites. GCG got it and opperated on it almost immediately...It was complete with dump, 02 sensor and in good condition actually. Hey on another note, I went back to C&V for a touch up on the tune cause along with the massive power the car is making, some knock was occasionally observed on the Power FC. It appears that the R34 fuel pump is maxed out and A/F is leaning out at high speed (around 180kph). Next week a Bosch 044 and swirl pot is being fitted to keep the A/F line straight on the graph. Con recons the turbo is so efficient that with more fuel he can make a lot more power safely. After he played with the high end fuelling and took out a little timing it actually made 273.9kw@tw. 3kw more than before. So be prepared to think about fuelling cause the GCG Hiflow with the VG30 turbine housing sees the end of the GTR fuel pump upgrade. I'll post up the dyno sheet when i hook up the scanner. Ian
  24. Yes the VG30 I got was Water and Oil cooled.
  25. I am a definate for a 044, If you can give me your banking details I can make a direct deposit into your account tomorrow, Wednesday. I definately have to have it by the end of this month though. Will that be a problem? Thanks
