Check that you plugged the igniter plugs back together properly (at the back of the motor on top of the coilpack cover... Mine's a S1 and I last time I removed the igniter and didn't put everything back together properly it sounded like a WRX and was idling really rough and all over the place. I thought it was plugged in but you have to push it hard til you hear a click. Dunno if this is your problem but it's a simple one so you might as well check hahaha

Without adding a boost controller, and just by adding zorst + intercooler, it's possible to get from 7psi (stock max) to around 8-9 psi. That's what I hear from trolling these forums as if my life depended on it, however have no factual evidence to back it up!

Id also say forget about the synchros, just get a new clutch. Exedy OEM replacement + labour goes aroun 600-800 total, roughly... Or go for an Exedy Heavy Duty + labour maybe around 800-1000?

Hahahahaha that's good you got it sorted...... yeah SAU freakin rocks! Just an update too, I ended up going and getting a new reg from a wrecker.... swapped it in, no more drama since.

If you've been playing around with double-clutching, along with all the before-mentioned symptoms I'd say your clutch is on the way out. You may have been burning it quite well while you were learning to double.

Seeing as you've dropped a new engine in, I doubt this is the problem, but is there an alarm/immobiliser installed? Some mongoose ones have built-in turbo timers that you wouldn't even realise are switched on, until you go to turn the car off..... and it stays on.... lol

Rocker cover gaskets being replaced are pretty common on skylines.... most of them will do it at some point lol. I recall about $70-90 from a nissan parts place, but I could be wrong.

That sucks...... did you get details for insurance or did they do a runner? I know the feeling though, my front bar's had so many scrapes and dings out of it, I finally decided to pull it off, sand + bog it and repaint it...... but it's gonna look like total SHITE. To top it off I ran out of paint this afternoon and the shop I use isn't open til Monday, so it looks like I'll be riding my bike to work for the first half of this week!

I thought it was 16x6.5 +35, not entirely sure though.
