  1. Hey Blake. There are 3 plastic covers on the steering wheel cover. 2 at the sides for the airbag bolts and one underneath for the electrical connectors. Take the bottom cover off first and undo the two electrical plugs. Then undo the two airbag bolts. You will need a T50 Torx bit to do that. Then lift out the airbag. Then undo the steering wheel bolt and lift the wheel off. Undo the steering shroud and you can then get to the screws that hold the sensor on. Its pretty easy to do. I just did mine also and just bought a new sensor from Nissan. Its not cheap but just think of the age of s/h ones. I dont think its worth buying a s/h sensor. Then its just reverse of how it all came off to fit it.
  2. Yeah thats it mate Happy to help.
  3. Yeah its the arrow you can see when you take the steering wheel off. No need to take the surround off.
  4. What you need to do is have the front wheels facing dead straight to start with. Then take off the steering wheel. Then align the arrow on the clock spring (steering sensor) to the arrow on the housing. Then adjust the plastic collar in the middle of the sensor assembly to line up with the holes in the steering wheel boss. This is the blinker self cancelling collar. Then install steering wheel and it should then be straight.
  5. You are both right. Just remember why nissan claimed 206kw when in fact it was no where near the real output. The gentlemens agreement.
  6. I dont understand some people. Why would you molest a VSpec II with these tacky parts. I dont get it???
  7. The steering angle sensor is part of the clock spring. The two plugs off the clock spring are for airbag and steering angle sensor.
  8. Yeah its a factory S3 bar with the optional cooler kit fitted.
  9. Its datascan that allows you to play around. The free version of conzult does bugger all. Conzult Here is where you can purchase full version conzult.
  10. The photo of the rx7 is gold
  11. Damn, if only you had a penske suit
  12. Mate, check out the gtr afm fix in the tutorial section. More often than not, resoldering the joints will fix your problem and save you heaps of coin. If not then go the nismo afm's as stated above. Just remember you need to get new inlet piping with z32's,so they are not that cheap in the end as other people seem to think.
  13. That might be me dude. Bit after 5pm sarvo. Just heading home. Didnt see you mate. Was getting pretty dark by then.
  14. That is one fantastic job you done there Daniel. I can appreciate the time and effort you put into that end result.
  15. I dont call fitting new turbo's light mods. To the OP, if you buy a GTR that is in good cond it wont cost you very much at all weekly wise. I budget $150 a week . That inc everything. And its my daily ride too. Look after it and it will look after you.
  16. Me too. Get a cable and register for datascan from plms. You then know your cable is guaranteed to work and have technical backup with the software. With the cheap chinese knock offs, its a bit hit and miss with the cable. And newkleer knows his stuff on this gear too. He has been pro active for quite a while on this gear.
  17. This track has absolutely nothing to do with cessnock. It is a guy or consortium (cant remember who it is) trying to turn a disused mine near singleton into a track. Which on the surface seems ideal. The old mine needs to be rehablitated anyway which would take years to happen and there is a buffer of land surrounding the mine already. 2 boxes ticked. But try convincing local councils its a good plan.
  18. I dont think its the tyres. Look at the vid and you can clearly see the 4wd system not working. When they get that problem sorted, then watch it haul ass. It will be a totally different car.
  19. Do you still need them? If so, front or rears?
  20. Thats right. Security systems only stop amatuers.
  21. The first thing your mate should do is go and test drive both. Thats the only way he can have an unbiased judgement on the two. We all have personal opinions of them both so heres mine. One of them is ok for shits and giggles and the other is a true warrior that will not disappoint and has many gtr owners nervous.
  22. Running the tank low has nothing to do with getting bad fuel. You will cop water/dirty fuel at any stage as the fuel pick up in the tank sits at the bottom. And as water is heavier than fuel, it will always sit on the bottom. Same as your cars fuel tank. Dont put blame on running your tank low when you pick up water and dirt. Running the tank low has nothing to do with it. Terry, most of the time getting crook fuel usually comes from the tanker. You get lots of cross contamination from these tankers. They dont always clean the tanks out after each trip so in the same tank on the truck, you might get diesel one trip, then 98 the next and then 92 another trip etc. So its not uncommon to find traces of diesel and other contaminants in your 98.
  23. I got down to a flat 1.40 with hand controller. As above, cant stop wheel spin with my thumb. Damn, it finishes tomorrow.
