thanks a lot for your help. I haven't had the alternator looked at but prior to getting audio gear installed the battery was very ordinary. It would go dead in a matter of minutes with the parkers on so i assume the battery is getting old. The thing is i'm not looking to do any major work, i just want to swap the battery for a more reliable one. I do want to be able to sometimes sit in my car with the engine off and listen to my music and not worry about the battery dying. I don't mean cranking the volume and listening for hours though lol. Would the red top suit me if i did go for Optima? If so, will it be possible for me to sit, if only for a half hour or so on say medium volume, in my car and listen to music without any worries. I don't want to go as far as installing a second battery for starting the car nor do i want to start running cables from the alternator, i'm looking for the easiest option really lol. Thanks.

hey everyone, I've got a 97 gts-t with the battery in the boot and recently i've upgraded my sound system and my car has the cheap jap battery that looks like it would struggle powering a motorbike in the boot so i am looking to upgrade, just wondering if anyone has any suggestions. I had a search through the forums but couldn't find enough to make a decision. I got the idea that a lot of people use Optima yellow tops, if i was to buy one of these what exact model should i buy? Also, does the Cold Crank Amp (CCA) rating affect what battery i do choose? Thanks.

Spotted white R33 GTS-T with a GTR wing turning right onto the road that connects onto the on ramp onto the freeway near Somersby. Number plate was KA-53-YS and had SAU stickers on rear window, tried to wave but was slow on the uptake

Hey does anyone know of the best way to get weathershields for my R33 GTS-t? no one seems to have a second hand pair and i've called a bunch of wreckers if anyone has a pair or knows where i can source some it'd be awesome. thanks.

yeah kujotk i love the sound of the exhaust but it's just the drone that i get when i am just cruising. it's very annoying. also i'm looking at not spending a great deal of money but at the same time will spend what i have to so i get the right job done. fat-lad i'd be willing to travel to newcastle to get the work done. what are they like on price? and would they supply me a decent muffler or you reckon i should get one myself? cheers.

hey everyone, basically i'm from the central coast but i work in sydney and i own a '97 r33 gtst and i have a HKS Silent exhaust setup at 3.25 inch piping from the cat back with only a resonator and a cannon muffler. it's too loud and i wanna install a muffler where the resonator is (i think?) to quiten it down and i was wondering if anyone could give me some help as to what place i should go to and whether that would quiten it down a great deal? being it a place from sydney or the central coast as long as they know what they're talkin bout. i work in silverwater so anywhere around that area would be good too. also if anyone has opinions as to whether i should purchase my own muffler from an aftermarket muffler retailer or actually get the exhaust shop to do it for me? cheers.

hey mate, sorry for the delayed reply. Yeah, your GTR looks awesome with white rims. you've given me ideas lol. and that's just a HKS Silent Straight through with a hotdog resonator in it mate. it's actually starting to annoy me cause it's quite droney so i'm considering changin it in some way. It's a 3 and 3 quarter inch piping so i think that's why it's loud. That and the screamer make my ears bleed lol.

Hey I spotted a white R33 GTR with white rims at Silverwater on Holker Street turning onto Silverwater Road. The plates were SYC-33 and it had a SAU sticker on the rear windscreen. Nice looking Skyline, i was driving my R33 GTS-t and he/she went past me in the left lane. Who was it?
