  1. just the engine mate. open to offers
  2. I have a complete RB26DETT for sale that is from an R32 GTR. I had this in my vl but its time to cut my loses and sell up on everything - new projects in mind. The engine has been stripped down, checked, cleaned and put back together with all new gaskets etc. Anything that needed to be replaced did. I have detailed this engine from ground up. The covers have been smoothed where needed and painted in clear over base custom Silver. Lots of bits and pieces polished by a professional (Twin Turbo Pipe, fuel reg etc). Everything else such as water lines have been hand polished. Nuts and bolts have been replaced with all brand new stainless steel. I no longer have the GTR sump, I have a modified sump to make it rear wheel drive only - so this will suit anyone with a GTST The engine comes complete. Turbos are perfect etc. I can chuck in the board of a Mines ECU to go with it, which can go into your ECU casing. I have an R32 GTR style intercooler than you can have for an extra $200 - can supply photos if needed. Its painted the same colour as the engine covers. The engine is completely stock, but everything is in perfect working order. As stated above its all been checked, cleaned and run and tested. As you can see there is a lot of hours spent getting this to look a show piece. Engine is located in Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne, inspections more than welcome. If you have any questions do not hesitate to contact me on 0419 387 858 Im sure I have left out some info so if I have, just let me know.
  3. I do have the majority of reciepts as well if people are curious. Cheers
  4. Hi Kent, From memory there wasnt a lot that needed to be done. Just costs in buying the parts. It has an R33 GTST pump and just new lines made for it. Also, because I moved the battery we had to relocate the Power Steer bottle etc, so its modified to suit that. If you would like more detail, I can contact the person who did the power steering to get a more a better explination. Cheers, Matt
  5. Sorry mate - Located in Melbourne, eastern suburbs.
  6. I have a complete RB26DETT engine which has been modified to suit a vl (bolt it in and go - all it needs is a tune). In saying this - it would fit straight back into a Skyline with no hassles. The engine is orginially out of a R32 GTR. To make it suit a VL the following has been done: * Custom Modified Sump (taking it from 4WD to just rear wheel). * New Power Steering lines etc (all custom made to suit VL) * Custom Throttle Cable * Wiring loom modified to VL (designed to be hidden) * All custom intercooler pipeing * Custom front pipe to cat (2 into 1) The setup comes with - * Everything you need * Vipec Plug and Play ECU * Intercooler (GTR cooler) and pipes to suit (inc clamps and hoses) * Drift BOV * Wiring Loom to suit Vipec and VL (Vipec is the GTR version - looks completely stock). Many hours and bucket loads of money have been spent to make this engine look the part and work 100% for a VL. It wouldnt be hard to get an engineers on this as its still fairly stock. To get the engine alone and make it suit a VL without doing the detail I have done usually costs 7k straight up. Once dynod these engines in this condition and simple mods that are on this should get around the 220 rwkw - 250rwkw. With more simple mods it can get a lot more without spending BIG dollards. All the hard work is done for you - its a simple drop it in and go. It was going to be a show/street car with all the right things done. I am sure I have probably left out lots of info, but please if you have any questions just ask. No expense has been spared here. You can see from the pictures how many hours has gone into this Below is a run down of costs that I have spent on this engine over the period its been mine, and you can also see the value for money. RB26DETT Engine itself - $4500 (have reciepts) Vipec Plug and Play - $1800 (have reciepts) Custom Front Pipe to cat - $350 Power Steering Setup - $500 (Have to spend this to convert it to work for a VL) Custom Hidden Wiringloom - $700 Cooler Pipes - $900 Polished Twin Pipe - $150 Other Polished parts - $150+ Custom Sump - $300 BOV - $200 Total $9550 And of course - that isnt including all gaskets and replacement parts I needed to get, or the detailing work either. Stainless steel bolts and painting etc - that all costs money. Plus hidden costs of throttles cables etc. Plus any labour i may of had to pay - as you can see Id be saving you money and time (LOTS of it) Engine is currently in the car which is un useable on the road. Inspections are welcome, you can hear it running etc. The winning bidder will need to be aware the engine wont be available for pickup straight away as I will not be taking it out unless it sells. I am open to offers above 7k. Will also consider a swap for stock RB30ET plus cash my way. I am wanting to put the VL back to stock and sell it. Any questions please feel free to email anytime - [email protected] Cheers for looking.
  7. I also need the plugs and wiring to connect it to the loom. Need one asap please guys, any help is appreciated.
  8. Hi Mate Do you have the Injector Resistor Pack that plugs into the standard GTR loom? Converts the impedance on the injectors. If so, how much for that unit? Cheers, Matt
  9. As the title states, I need the injector dropping resistor and some relays (ecu, constant power etc) for a 32 RB26dett They guy who i got the engine off decided to not give me everything i need and everytime i call its just a f**k around, so i would like to get these parts asap as its the final bits to my conversion. Thanks guys Matt
  10. Ok, just thought id post a little bit of an update. Engine is sitting in a dummy vl at the moment to see what sort of work needs to be done to make it fit 100% (my wagon is at the pannel shop still). Apart from needing to bash the shit out of the firewall to get the engine in, it was ok (might do a cut and shut on my wagon for cosmetic side to it). Looks like ill need to get a custom throttle cable made. The brake booster and master cylinder is right beside where you hook it up, causing some minor issues but we will get around that. Sump is done. We modified the RB30 sump to fit. Cut into the windige tray so the pick up would fit, and modified the edging to allow for the pickup etc. The next issue is the airbox. Due to the tight spacing we are looking into how we are going to make an airbox that will support the 2 AFM's and piping to suit. Im thinking that pod filters may be an option, but it isnt the way i wanted to go. If i end up doing that, ill get rid of the battery and smooth the bay, but once again.. thats what everyone does. Im guessing the RB25 power steering pump goes onto the 26 block ok? Because the 26 pump is a dual one, im looking into the next option, this seems to be my last resort. Other than having to move the power steer lines around, this is all the little annoying things out of the way (hopefully). Ill keep updating this thread with progress if anyone is interested. Cheers guys, Matt
  11. How much are you chasing for the sump? and pickup as well for it? As for dumps, i was going to look into the stainless steel aftermarket ones Thanks for the comments guys, I have an MX7 manual box for it, once that blows ill get a 33 put into it. Diff is just 28spline lsd, nothing major. Computer wise, i got a MINES ecu with the engine from the importer. There is a couple of things to change wiring wise so its 100% suited for the vl, but i want to do this right. Cars currently off the road. Full respray, custom trim, actually going to look into a decent suspension setup etc, no use in half assing things. Im going to stick clear of the 26/30 combo, seems most vl drivers are doing that and going single turbo, i want to retain the factory 26 look, even if i do decide to upgrade the turbos ill stick to twins. Engine is currently ready for the new sump and is getting cleaned and checked over, then we will be dropping the engine in the car, doing all the fabrication work needed, engineers etc so its legal, then ill start with the cosmetic side of things, once all the fiddly shit is out of the way (so engine back out again) Umm i think i responded to most people, keep the posts coming guys Cheers Matt PS im not an ocker redneck bogan lol
  12. And to be honest, ive been questioning that myself... at the end of the day, i wanted to do something a little different (i know its been done a lot before, but im doing it a little differently) and build a car to suit me. I know that ill end up buying a GTR at some stage, but yeah.. might as well enjoy this first. As for VL forums, well... they are never much help, to caught up in there own "awesomeness" and "opinions" to offer advice. Thanks for the comment though
  13. edit. sorry i mean splice to 2 looms together etc.
  14. Hi guys, Im new to the forums. Ive done a quick search around and couldnt find a lot of info. I have recently brought an RB26DETT from a 92 32. Im putting it into a vl wagon (a poor mans skyline i know lol, but im wanting to go about it slightly different) I pick up my engine during the week, so im just wanting to know who here has had experience doing this engine conversion? Also, any info in things to do/look out for etc would be great. I know i need to change the sump and pickup to an RB30 one, and also to slice the loom etc. Of course im wanting to get it engineered so any peoples experience with that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again Matt
