Thanks to all involved in today, my daily survived half a day and once the storm hit i decided to quit while ahead and in one piece. Heres a video of a fun lap i had putting down only a low 22 but was my driest run of the day, way off the pace of my dry time in my track car of a 15 but still fun. Enjoy the video and ill be working on a Holy shit sliding video highlight soon, including a guest starring white stag turn 5

May i shotgun a passenger ride? -
Normally in the formula fords we run them a little higher, you think of it as an ice skate, you want a nice edge to cut through standing water ect. If only damp you normally run them on a preassure you are aiming to get to when fully warmed up in the dry. So if in the dry you want your tire temps at 25psi and normaly to get that you would start at 23psi, you would just start them at 25psi and check when car returns from session and bleed until you hit that 25psi. Also my daily will be used. My 200kw R33 so hoping to crack a 10 if not to went considering my underpowered R32 gets mid 15's ECU never turned up. See you all there

Cals Budget 32 Build

Hey mate sorry havent checked this for ages. 1: plexi held in by some shite dodgy brackets atm. Am thinking of Dzus them in later on as im now in a motorsport shop. Its 6 L brackets 1 in each corner and 2 in the center. 2; Now again changed mind the car will now be going improved production class for supersprint events. 3: Plexi was made by a bloke in Smithfield on long street. Just gave him a template out of cardboard and he cut it for me. He did those and my 1/4 windows for around the 150 buck mark. So yah have decided to make this car comply with the 3J rules in improved production so i can run this car in supersprint NSW series. As this series doesnt clash with my formula ford engineering comitments so will also justify owning the car which is what ive been trying to do for a while. Have booked in the next SMSP south day and for the first time now own an LS2 CAMS license. She will also be doing the SMSP north circuit in October which im excited about as ive never driven that part of the track. Mods before these days will be 1: Coil overs 2: Possibly 18inch semi slicks 3: rain light, proper kill switch and any other small changes or additions to comply with the CAMS rules and regs for improved production. -

Buying A New Car? Read This First. (warranty)

Well well well. It states here in the manual under fuel recomendation Regular 91 octane should be used. But if your in Thailand it says you can use fuel with a mix of ethanol up to 20%. so E20. If your not in those countries you can use normal Unleaded. 91 to 93. For Europe it says use at least 95. China use at least 93. use of other fuels will reduce performance of the vehicles emission control system and cause a (MIL) light indicator. So there you have it. But we are in Australia so WTF do we use? How can it use E10-E20 in one country yet needs premium in another. the plot thickens -
Thread bump. The V8 supercars have had an update ford and holden COTF are out Also starting in the next few weeks a huge V8 premier series. Fully broadcast via V8sonline. You have 3 days of pre qualifying and only the top 80 drivers are accepted and split into a support and main race (both broadcast). Then you have official qualifying and sometimes they do a top 10 shootout. Its no reset buttons and realistic live marshals. So you wreck your car in qually if it doesnt drive back to pits you are out. Its really fun and being hosted does not effect irating or safety. Link for extra info http://members.iracing.com/jforum/posts/list/3297737.page Also a few paint jobs i did when I was quiet at home. I now run in a team called Multi 21. Enjoy pics Hope to see you out on track.

HAHA Fatz. Ah have not read through the manual yet but I had to fill the car up yesterday after replacing the sensor. On the inside of the petrol flap it has a sticker that reads "Unleaded fuel only". So nothing about E10 as such but also doesnt say it wont run properly on E10. Bit quiet at work might have a read and see if it states exactly what fuel you are ment to run. -

I think from what ive seen the different types of gasses created by the burning of E10 effects the sensor causing damage. Nearly all the sensors I pull out which are faulty are very white as if running super lean. The engine code logged when I replace an o2 actually states that the sensor has a short or open circuit. Along with say bank 1 sensor 1 or whichever is causing the light. In regards to a commadore running the E-85/98 from factory they would have a simillar set up to the E-Flex of an aftermarket set up. Also the ECU would be programed say like a HALTEK aftermarket unit would be to look and adjust for the varied levels of ethanol. In regards to this same mix destroying an o2 im not sure. They may have a sensor that is suited for this mix but i would dare say most average people would buy this model of car and rarely put E-85 in it. I cant prove or disprove this theory at all properly. All i can say is in my experience so far in the last 5 years or so that E10 has become more available, customers with a running problem and engine check light on have been using E-10. Pretty much when i scan and see the code first question I ask is what fuel do you run 9 out of 10 would say E-10. Best example was a bloke came in with a VZ senator which was a couple years old. He didnt understand why it ran like absolute shite. Until he told me it was running on E-10. It was logging engine codes for running lean ect. But at the time had not made a fault in the o2. But he hasnt been back with complaints since i told him to run at least 95 with no ethanol so could be correct. I wont even run E10 in my wifes little starlet 96 model haha.
