  1. The Casino is not on Cavil Ave and not in walking distance of where you are staying. Should only be a 15 min taxi ride from Surfers or there should be a bus that goes there from the bottom of Cavil Ave. Lots of restaurants along Cavil Ave but i haven't really been to any so can't comment on them. Just check out the menu's they have on the board out the front and find something you like. All the pubs/clubs worth going to are on Cavil Ave and Orchid Ave, which runs of Cavil. Its a bit hard to recommend a pub/club without you specifying what sort of music/scene you are into. Definitely check out the Beer Garden though, its awesome on a Saturday night and drinks are fairly cheap. Can take a while to get a drink around 11pm or so as it gets packed. Shooters and The Bedroom can be good also. I don't like it personally myself, but Melba's is very popular also. Just lots of pretentious girls and metro guys. Just walk around and you'll be bound to find something you like
  2. No no no.... I meant if running excessive negative camber which you will probably have if your car is lowered and with stock camber arms you won't have optimal grip. Anything between -1.5 and -0.5 would be ideal. -5 would be horrible for traction and tyre wear. Pineapples (subframe bushes) reduce axle tramp and provide more traction. Do a search on pineapples, you'll find tons of information. Also search the differences between polyurathane and alloy bushes and see which ones you prefer.
  3. Definitely run it in according to the recommended procedure. I did this with my Kaaz 2 way on my S13 and it is now near silent. Doesn't clunk at all, only skips on very tight low speed corners.
  4. Sorry, but i just refuse to meet up with someone like you who obviously has no clue, your last sentence just totally proved that. To think your example of an R33 can even compare to a tough looking S13 such as Nigels, widely considered as the best S13 Silvia in Australia is a joke. The amount of work and engineering gone into that S13 is simply mind blowing, in another world from the majority of imports in Australia with all their bolt on mods (including my car). Your car could never even come close to matching this S13. You just continue hard parking your R33... Why don't you post up a pic of what you think is a good example of an S13? Please explain to me what is so wrong that i have previously said... Sounds like you have no clue if you thing that all there is to gaining traction is squeezing the biggest tyres possible under the rear of your car. Oh, those 275's on your car look f**king horrible...
  5. ^^^ You deserve to be banned by associating Starcorp Impuls with that blue R34. Starcrop Impuls are cheap Tempe tyres shit, which are copied from Work Equips, which is what the blue R34 has. The Starcorp wheels are heavy as f**k, poor quality and come in shit house offsets (+38). If you want good rims say no to Tempe Tyres and get some good Jap rims. Get some Work Equips if you must have this design
  6. If only they had everything for sale online... *sigh*
  7. Only if you are going with the best quality tyre you can afford. Meaning that its useless squeezing the widest tyre you can under the guards if its a cheapo tyre, when a smaller top quality tyre will do an equal or most likely way better job. Also useless using a massive wide tyre on the back if your running a lot of negative camber on the rear, you won't be increasing the tyre contact patch at all
  8. ^^^ Not as gay as that orange Tempe Tyres spec abortion in your avatar... 265 is way too big for an 8" rim, imagine the side wall flex when cornering hard! ^^^ 215 on a 17x9.5 front, 215 on 17x10 rear. You still think it looks gay?
  9. You are kidding right? Why on earth would you do such a thing? It would look extremely gay and isn't doing you any favours for traction. Using a good quality 225 tyre ( Toyo R1R, T1R, etc) will give way better traction than a cheapo 265 tyre. What rear camber are you running? Unless you've got adjustable aftermarket rear camber arms installed you are no where near the ideal alignment settings for optimal traction and tyre wear. Install some pineapples set to traction also. Pfffffttt @ undersized. I know loads of people who are running 215's on 9.5" rim with no problems at all
  10. If money isn't too much of a concern and you can afford to get a set of wider wheels i'd definitely be going down that path. Plus the lower offset wheels will look way better than any of this +35 or so crap...
  11. I realize its pretty obvious, but if you haven't already get a set of pineapples and adjustable rear camber arms. Its not going to matter what tyres your running if you've got -5 deg camber.
  12. Oh yeah, and all the other forums you've posted this on too?
  13. Just go around to your local tyre shops and ask if you can look through their old tyres that are to be taken away. Most of them are happy for you to take tyres for free as they pay per tyre for disposal. Sometimes you find some good tyres, i've found some semi slicks before that have a decent amount of meat left on them
  14. I'm after some tough Jap rims in good condition. Sizes i'm after is 17x9 +0 (front) and 17X10 +12 (rear). Also some width in 18's is acceptable. 17x9.5 and 17x10.5's also considered. Wanting something along the lines of TE-37's, VSK-f's, GT-C's, SA-70TT's, TC-105N, etc... Would prefer tyres, although not necessary...
  15. Just get any turbo timer, they all do the same thing. Most of the features on turbo timers are just a load of wank anyway...
  16. Yeah, then they'll just send you away for a full EPA inspection and you'll get reamed 10x harder. Smart thinking...
  17. 275's "stretched" onto a 10" wide rim? I'd hardly call that stretching mate. Maybe if it was a 235 or even 245, but certainly not a 275...
  18. Looks alright, but i think it would look way better without it. If you want to make the front of your car look better i'd be doing something about that big dirty ugly numberplate. Get a slimline plate or i'm pretty sure you can get black plates with white lettering with without having to get a personalized plate
  19. Tempe Tyres are utter shit, stay away or you will regret it. Buy some 2nd hand or new wheels from the site sponsors here or on www.nissansilvia.com in the sponsor section. Research offsets and what size is suitable for your car. Read this thread for idea's of good fitment- Show us your offset! Who has wide wheels?
  20. You want an opinion?? I wouldn't touch that cheapo Tempe tyre shit with a 10 foot pole. No strength, heavy as f**k, no good widths or offsets. For the amount these cost you'll be able to get some good 2nd hand Jap rims that do come in good sizes and offsets. Or simply save another month or two and buy some decent Jap wheels brand new. SAY NO TO TEMPE TYRES!
  21. Get the lowest offsets available in the XD9's. From memory i think its 18x9 +20 front and 18x10 +18 rear, or even a 17x9.5 +17 front. Front will fit fine with rolled guards, a 215 tyre and some negative camber. Rears will fit with a roll and slight flare with 235 tyres. I couldn't find any good pics of a R33 with low offset XD9's, but here's a few tough pics of R32's with XD9's. Green R32 has 18x10 +18 225/40/18 in a Federal 595 and 17x9.5 +17 federal again 215/45/17. Silver R32 has 17 x 9.5 + 17 with 215/40/R17 tyres up front, not sure about the rears. R33 has fronts 17x9.5 +12 with 20mm spacer so -8 with 215/45, rears are 18x10.5 +26 with 245/40 The R32's are perfect examples how good low offsets make a car look TOUGH
  22. Why would you bother getting such horrible offsets when buying new? Don't be weak, go 18x9 +20 front and 18x10 +18 rear. It'll fit fine with stretched tyres and a bit of guard love...
  23. Oh no! Lookout, Tomk has invaded SAU! Watch out people, if you're not carefull he will spread like a RASH! J/k Tomk
  24. Don't listen to these pussy's, the rims will fit fine. On the front you'll only need to roll the guards, on the rear just roll guards with a light flare. On the front just run a 215 tyre (unsure what profile for 19" rims) and on the rear run a 235 (or a 225 would be fine also). Maybe get some adjustable camber arms for the rear while your at it so you can pull a bit of the negative camber from the rears and then flare the rear guards to suit. Will look pretty tough.
  25. Sorry, but thats a complete load of crap. In Victoria it is a 100mm from the lowest point of the car. Exhaust, bodykit, whatever. Whatever is closest to the ground!
