  2. Got my today, reading it now. Its r32 engine manual for CA18i, RB20E, RB20DE, RB20DET, RB25DE and RB26DETT. They are pretty detailed in information, pictures of parts and wiring diagrams are good and tells you alot about diagnosing problems.
  3. Hurry up and put the on lol....
  4. Got Dish????? haha look sweet dude... Just put some 25mm bolt on spacers to fill my guards. Now rim sits out there.....
  5. Autobahn sells a special type of a conductive glue made for defogger connections, its like $20-30. Becareful using solder iron, could damage glass and/or tinit, but dont think solder will stick to glass... Dont know anything about the trim....
  6. Watching this from HPI v8 a million times... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aJigHlk4IMk...re=channel_page
  7. damn, i wish i went. i only live up the road from qr, how often r these events on?
  8. So how many have you seen? I think Ive seen two on the street, other than the one I saw just before I bought mine and the others seen out at the drifts. First one I saw cruising on the Hwy to the Sunshine Coast. It was pink and looked like a drift pig. We both gave it a bit of curry and then cruised side by side. The other was cruising through Ipswich, looked bog stock on the outside. Other than that havint seen any in ages...
  9. Some new parts to add to the mix.... Rear Strut Brace Header Tank 25mm Bolt on Spacers Magnetic Sump Plug Half Moon Seals 6 Spark Plugs Engine Damper Turbosmart Dual Port Blanking Kit Turbosmart 32mm Plumb Back Kit Turbosmart 32mm Hoses
  10. Anyone keen on taking me as a pit buddy and ride shot gun? willing to change tyres and help out on your car, i have my own helmet as well... I havnt been out there in ages as my car isnt ready
  11. all springs are goin to sag over time, thats why you get height adjustable coilovers, have it higher to get it on the road, then lower when you want...
  12. Otomoto sells HSD stuff. http://www.otomoto.com.au/HDSystems/ S13 suspension is pretty much the same in most ceffys, if ur strut tower has 3 holes for suspenion tops its s13, if it has 2 then is r32 skyline. I can confirm this when i get my coilovers. S13 coilovers will be the way to go, as its softer as sr20 are lighter than rbs so it doesnt need heavier spring rates. At first i was going to get Greddy/Trust Performance Damper Type S for S13 directly from japan but was no stock in till early september so i went silkroads.
  13. Not yet aye, they are coming by sea from japan grrr, feels like its taking for ever. hopefully they should be soon. once i get them, ill do a full thread on them because not many ppl have heard much about silkroads. ive talked to a guy on another forum and he swears by them, so im hoping they are real good. coilovers under $2000, you could try ISC or HSD. definitally better than D2 or G4...
  14. How much do you want to spend? f7kg-r5kg or f8kg-r6kg should be a good enough for the street with light track duties...
  15. My boost gauge runs electronically of my boost controller, but the boost line come of my plenum. You can run them almost off any boost line. If you dont have a seperate line for it, just put a tee piece in and run it of that...
  16. Sooo, maybe my music is the sweet sound of my RB motor. My sound system is stripped out to save weight but I still like to keep it in full street trim. Seats, door trims etc... 52mm gauges fit perfectly in a single DIN. Is your car painted yet Nic?
  17. Why dont you go 3 gauges as a single DIN unit? Ive got that set up in my Cefiro. Looks cleaner and you can hide the wiring under the dash.
  18. Yea, used to be auto before I bought it...
  19. Gday, Cleaning up my engine bay in my Cefiro, didnt know what this part, disconnected it and drove round for a bit with nothing operating different. Removed it to make room for my new header tank... It had an elect loom that led to a wiring loom and a vacuum line that led nowhere. It was located on the drivers side strut tower as seen in pics... Anyone know what it was for? and if it is need? Cheers
  20. My tow car is my AU Falcon with LSD, tow bar not rated for my mates 1500kg trailer and lowered suspension. AU's are pretty cheap these days, easily pick one up under 4gz maybe with 200000 plus kms on it. It does ok (only a 4L 6 cyl) for towing with trailer and car on it with just under 3000kg but i do watch the temp gauge because it doesnt have a tranny cooler. A few musts for tow car: transmission cooler tow bar rated to towing weight LSD can help and decent brakes if trailer wont have any...
  21. New wheels and brakes are on, just waiting on my silkroad coilovers and rays lug nuts from japan... Heres a pic...
  22. Dont do the irreversible. Think long and hard when it comes to modifications that are hard to undo. There is no need to cut anything. Ive only removed the fronts before. Not sure about the rears. But this involved removing the wheel, caliper, rotor, dust cap for the hub, split pin, hud nut, then hub. The hub nut on my car was 30mm and should not be on so tight that you break 2 breaker bars getting it off. After you remove this the rotor dust shield slides off. Sometimes with a little force needed. Be careful when taking the hub off not to lose anything (ie. bearings and washer) and make sure you put everything back on in the right order. A new split pin must be installed to prevent the hub nut coming off. I take no responsibility for any damage or misfortune that happens to you/anyone or your/anyones car during or after the process. If your still unsure about the whole process get a qualified mechanic to do it for you.
