  1. Yeah I think it would be pretty close but the caliper is quite bulky. When you get a chance, come on down and we'll check it out
  2. I have an 18" LM GT4 I could try it on, but internally they are a little different in diameter to the TE37
  3. 380mm will be a really close thing, will be interesting to dummy it up.
  4. Yep order was submitted to D2 in the first week of Jan, after they returned from their New Year holidays. From experience, it usually takes around 2-3 weeks for them to complete an order of this size and then around the same again to get shipped, clear customs and quarantine and land in the shop. I'll keep Ash updated as we reach each step
  5. The 356mm def won't fit underneath 17"s - but the 330mm ones will Just to clarify on the brake lines- the D2 brake kits come in with fairly crap brake lines. In testing these kits, that was the only weak point. We have the new ones made from scratch locally by a brake line specialist who make them to ADR spec and the fittings are stamped with their registration # to demonstrate for RWC/Blue slip purposes that they are ADR compliant lines. Legal and far better than the lines supplied. Every line made is pressure tested to over 3400psi. Under the heaviest braking, they won't see close to a quarter of that on the car! It normally costs around $120 per line to have them custom made, but because we're getting 10 sets done at a time we've been able to bring this price down far enough that we can include them with the kit as part of the group buy.
  6. 17th spot. If only my internal GPS worked better!
  7. Hey Mate, you're spot on. the 356mm ones need 18" min, the 330mm will go sweet under 17"s The second round of this group buy will be cranking up very shortly I believe, so you are not too late if you want to jump on board Cheers Aaron
  8. Hey Mate can tell you 100% the XD9 in 18 x 10" +18 will clear the brakes, or I'll refund you no probs. They have loads of brake clearance Cheers Aaron
  9. And the reason there is more clearance for the D2 calipers compared to stock, even though they are physically much larger over all is because the materials used in the construction of the D2 are superior and able to provided the stiffness required to prevent caliper flex, while using less material. Stock calipers are a cast construction and require a lot more bulk to provide the same level of stiffness.
  10. For all of those wondering about caliper clearance, I just did a little measuring and while these are not 100% perfectly precise (due to me being unable to measure the D2 while mounted on the car, just dummied up on the bench) - so they're give or take a a millimetre or so Factory BNR32 GT-R caliper protrudes approx 40mm past the disk mounting face where the wheel bolts up Factory BCNR33 GT-R/34/V-Spec BNR32 Brembo caliper protrudes approx 40mm past the disk mounting face where the wheel bolts up The D2 8 Piston caliper with 356mm disk protrudes approx 33mm past the disk mounting face where the wheel bolts up This means that purely from the point of view of clearance to the back of the spokes, with the D2 you actually gain around 7mm of clearance. Now the only complication that we bring into the equation is that these calipers will sit out further from the hub than the stock ones, so if your spokes taper back in aggressively, close to your stock calipers than this will reduce the clearance available. Very few wheels do this. So long story short - if you have 18" rims and they clear your factory brakes, be it Brembo or sumitomo 4 pots, you can be reasonably sure they will go over these brakes
  11. Just quickly - please read the listing for the rear kit properly http://www.japspeed....on/p-23-71-944/ "Please note that you will require to convert your handbrake to hydraulic as these kits do not have a housing for the handbrake cable." The reason this rear kit is more expensive is because we have specified compatibility with the factory handbrake which is normally a $250 added option. We can offer you a cheaper package if you do not require factory handbrake compatibility - however from personal experience, unless you have bias adjusters and a proper custom setup braking system, hydraulic handbrakes are a pita.
  12. ok they don't do one, so I'll pull the kit out and dummy it all up.
  13. I'll see if one is available, worst case if there isn't, I have a set in stock on the shelf I can dummy up and get dimensions of for you
  14. Hey Guys I've given Ash the info on shipping prices and of course we're more than happy for you to arrange your own pickups if wanted. The prices we've quoted are fully insured against loss and/or damage so that's just one thing to keep in mind when shopping around - all freight companies are not created equal!
  15. I didn't order extras sorry guys there are a few people who I haven't heard from re delivery details guys, if you can get on to me soon that'd be great. these things are fragile and I'd like to see them go to their owners
  16. Hey Guys I've gone through the thread and I've put together all the answers to questions I could find in an email to Ash so he can reply and also update the original post Cheers Aaron
  17. That convo was with myself and Andy with the absolutely mint white V-Spec NUR Long story short, a GT-R with genuine 50000kms on it should present as a brand new car with only very minor signs of wear, unless the previous owner/s treated the car like shit which, with a 34, is pretty rare. Even with a genuine 100000kms on the clock, the only real wear should be drivers seat bolster and a bit of wear on the steering wheel and shift knob, plus signs of wear on internal switch gear.
  18. BAM! GZILAH you are my new favourite person If anyone wants to remove all doubt, when it comes time to view the car at the dealer, the vin is BNR34-006724 - the new Australian one should just be 6U9000BNR34006724
  19. The annoying thing is - this is the kind of car I get pointed to when someone enquires about importing a BNR34 with me and I give them an honest and frank price range to expect. "but I can get one already here cheaper". It's like shopping for a peach and being stoked to pick up a lemon for half the price.
  20. The Japanese Exporter, FCAutosource advertised the car warts and all - Danny from FC is a top guy and straight shooter. As SecretR33GTR said, this should in no way reflect poorly on him. What shonky dealers do after they've bought the car is out of his control.
  21. all good mate, got yours going to your mate's at the auto elecs tomorrow
  22. Hey Guys on the GB - I have a spreadsheet from Andrew with your names, contact info and what your order consisted of but I have no info on whether they are to be shipped to you or if you'll be picking up. They're all here and ready to go so if you're waiting on yours to be posted out, I'll need to organise that direct with you. I'm trying to work out a cheap, but effective method of packaging these so that muppet couriers don't ruin them - no mean feat given how long and fragile they are! Please send me a pm to let me know if you're coming to pick up, or need them posted and I'll get it all sorted To the guys who have already picked up, thanks a lot!
  23. Everyone's a critic
  24. Bloody happy with my mega mini and long wang times! Next time I'm rolling on rims that aren't worth quite so much and have a bit more side wall
