  1. Stumbled on this earlier this morning, looks like a nice car for the price. Anyone know about it? Seems a bit weird that you'd spend all that cash on it then just leave the country. http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/Nissan-Skyline-1992/SSE-AD-2833428/?gts=SSE-AD-2833428&gtssaleid=SSE-AD-2833428.com
  2. Easily get a decent auto r34 for what your willing to pay.
  3. Hi all, Bought this to of my bro in law to use as a daily but have decided to put the money towards finishing my other projects. He was the first owner in aus in 2009. The stock pump died a few years back so I installed a walbro pump for him. 100k timing belt and major service done last year. Only issue with the car is the common ABS light on issue, I will try and fix this soon as it should be an easy fix (relay on pump). One head light was replaced a few years ago with a genuine one due to fading, other can easily be fixed with repair kits available. Not looking to make money, just looking to get back what I paid him for it. $5250 with remaining reg or $6000 with 12 months reg but no RWC. Shouldn't need anything for rwc as everything on the car is good except for the ABS light. Reg is due this week.
  4. ^ That's very true. I wasn't arguing what's better or what was achievable, I know the stock system is restrictive and not ideal, but for all I know the stock cat back portion flows ok for a stock system and could be fine for the stock turbo boosted etc. I'll keep an eye out for a decent second hand system, something without a canon.
  5. I guess I just don't want to spend mega bucks on a system if the stock cat back system is still good enough with an aftermarket dump/cat combo. If I was chasing 300rwkw or something then fair enough, but I think I'll be staying with the stock turbo for awhile.
  6. Hi all, I'm looking at getting the quietest exhaust possible while still managing around 200rwkw or slightly over. Every exhaust I have seen on 33's is to loud (over 87db). As my 33 is my daily I want to keep it as quiet as possible while still gaining some benefit from having an aftermarket Dump/front pipe and a highflow cat. I was thinking of just leaving the stock cat back portion of the exhaust but with an after market dump and highflow cat. Would this still be highly restrictive? My understanding is that the most restriction on these systems is the dump and cat but not so much the rest of the system. Thanks.
  7. I wouldn't even be considering this anymore, to many things you can't be sure on, if the km's aren't verified or if there no auction papers I say walk away. For that sort of coin I'd be looking at the LM spec R33 GTR that's for sale on here, would be worth a lot more then the white one in 5-10 years.
  8. I'd keep the supra if its a manual. Seriously not worth the hassle of converting the 34 from auto to manual unless you want to keep it long term.
  9. There is a tampered day and BP midlands next weekend if anyone is interested, pretty sure there are spots left.
  10. Prob a lot easier and cheaper to sell the motor as a det and buy a neo n/a motor, I wouldn't bother getting anything machined. It can be done though, don't see why not, there should be a lot of different thickness head gaskets available for the rb25, just don't go crazy skimming the head, don't want to take to much off.
  11. What is your budget? You could just do a fuel pump and tune and see a cheap and easy 200rwkw. Going beyond that gets expensive ie turbo, injectors, afm etc etc
  12. The main difference will be in the tune, which either way if your going de + t you need a full standalone ecu anyways. It will be more prone to detonation so will have to run less timing I would assume, but realistically you should be still able to run 14psi through it, just a decent tune will be needed.
  13. Bump $900. Need these gone, make an offer.
  14. Realistically the only skylines to appreciate in value are R32 GTR's, or anything that is kinda 'rare'. You cant really compare old school cars to a fairly new skyline, it will never have the same appeal, the cars of the 60's and 70's had there own appeal and look, that's why they go for crazy money, people want that old school feel, especially the rotors, they have there own thing going on. In 20 years time cars more then likely will be a lot different and I'd say most people wont care about some mint stock R33 gtst, by that time gt86's will be the new R33 and as with anything people move on, who knows by then it might be illegal to drive a turbo six in Vic, with the way this nanny state is going.
