  1. Bump. Just changed the diff and trans fluids.
  2. That seems to be what i was thinking, i was budgeting around 20-22k for one. You wouldn't happen to be in vic would you sean?
  3. Hi guys, I'm currently looking around for a r32 GTR and was just wondering how much people would expect to pay for say a mint gtr and how much for an average one I had a look at a r32 gtr today which was nice and tidy, standard turbos, had an exhaust, chipped ecu, cam gears and some other goodies and is making around the 230awkw mark. Paint was tidy but not spotless, has being touched up here and there and where touched up wasnt the best job but it has bride seats and the interior is clean. I just find it weird how for some reason the r32 GTR's are not that much more cheaper then the newer r33's. For around the same price of a r32 your could buy a r33 GTR. Cheers.
  4. Bumpage. Open to offers.
  5. Hey, yea that was me haha, gotta love those kebabs. Thanks, yea i like the wheels but I was thinking I might go with something else, just wanted to see if anyone was interested really. Cheers.
  6. Up for sale are some wheels which i was planning on putting on my gts2 but have now changed my mind. I got them imported from japan and they are in fairly good nick but could do with a freshen up. These are genuine 2 piece work wheels which are fairly hard to find in 4 by 114. They sit really well on the rear of a r31 but need spacers to fill out the front, i have 5mm slip on spacers which will be sold with the wheels. The tyres on them are virtually brand new on the front and maybe 70% on the rear. They are bridgestone expedia on the rear and goodyear ducaro f1 on the front. Looking for around the $1,500 mark but am open to offers. I also have some 20mm spacers if anyone is interested which are brand and cost me $155 but will sell for $90. Location: Vic, eastern suburbs. Here are some pics of how they looked on my gts2. Contact via pm or msg me on [removed by admin at poster's request] Cheers.
  7. PRICE DROP TO $12,500 with RWC or 12,000 WITHOUT
  8. I am reluctantly selling my gts2 due to a change in my financial situation. I only purchased it around 3 months ago and it had being sitting in a garage for 2 years prior to me buying it. I have replaced the o2 sensor, spark plugs, water temp sensor, dizzy cap and rotor button, fuel filter , gear boot , gear knob and rear pads. I have also put a fully reco'd gearbox in as when i purchased the car it had a input shaft bearing noise when idleing, and it has a new excedy clutch and rear main done when the gearbox was out. The car is immaculate with only a few minor blemishes on the front bumper. I also fitted a new alarm when i bought it as the old one was rubbish but I still haven't hooked the central locking up to the alarm. Car still has 10 months reg and comes with gtsr31 plates. 204,000 kms Factory manual Bilstein shocks standard $13,000 with rwc $12,500 without All thats needed for a rwc is some new rear tyres as they are camber worn from being on the front for to long and wiper inserts.
  9. Is there any difference in gearing between any of the r31 box's or is it just strength wise. If there is no difference in the gearing then it wouldn't matter what r31 box i put in my gts2 cause strength wouldnt really be an issue cause its only n/a. I seriously can't believe how hard it has been to try find out what box should be in my gts2. On ebay there is a rb20det box listed, i asked the guy what number was on the side and he told me rp71c #1 where as i thought it should have been #2. The box in my gts2 is the #1 so i have no idea what it is. I don't know if i should just chuck in the box i was originally going to put in, or if i should put a r32 box in ( as in a #2 box) or rebuild the one thats in it. On the r31 site there is no mention at all about any gearbox change for the gts2, shorely if it had different trans gearing they would have mentioned that.
  10. Hey Adam, glad to see your a fellow skyline owner . I had a look at the number on the side of my gearbox and it was RP71C #1 which was the same as the box you gave me. So I'm just wondering if you could check what number is on the side of the r32 box you have there (i think you said you had one). From what ppl have been telling me the r32 box's had RP71C #2 instead of the #1, don't know what the difference is, i can only assume its just stronger or maybe even different ratios. I think maybe my box has been changed at some point with a normal r31 box. I'll give you a buzz later this week. Thanks for your help to btw.
  11. Hey, can someone please tell me or direct me to any info on what manual gearbox is in a gts2? I have been told that the gts2's ran the same box as a r32? I have already bought a friggin standard r31 box as the gearbox place told me there all the same, but i have just been told that the gts2's had the same box that was behind the rb20et. Any help much appreciated.
  12. woops, never mind i should have read the post correctly, you have 20 wheels nuts so there 5 stud. .
  13. Ok, i finally pulled all the covers of today to have a look at my cam timing in my gts2. Now from what i can tell it looks like some idiot has advanced the cam timing on my cam (to try to gain power i'd assume) but i've read that it actually has the opposite affect on the engine. The whole point of me having a look was due to a friend of mine commenting that my skyline feels unusually slow, i have also replaced just about everything there is to replace ie; sensors, o2 sensor, afm etc etc. I have looked at the timing section on the r31club site but the pic is crap (to small) and it just says that the cam mark should be in the upper most position, but the engine is on a slight angle so do they mean upper most inline with the engine or just in general (there really should be a mark on the rocker cover or head somewhere). Heres some pics, crank is on the tdc mark on the crank pulley. If you think its fine then ill leave it cause i cant get the friggin crank pulley of, i think i have to use a crank puller to get it off. Thank you fo any help, i need to get this back together by tomorow morning :-[.
  14. Apparently rb25 pistons have the same bore size as the rb30 ones and have there gudgen pin sitting 1mm lower so that should raise the piston by 1mm giving you more comp, any know if this can be done? Or will you run into clearence issues with the valves? If clearence isnt an issue then combine that with a slight head shave then maybe a comp ratio of 10.5:1 or higher can be achieved? Is there any workshops around vic that have experience with rb30's? I'm guessing I should try Nispro?
  15. Ok thanks, will do. Maybe if i shave the head slightly to i can raise comp a little and with a bigger cam hopefully i will get some decent power. So with this piggy back will i be able to still run the svd one or would it replace it? Has anyone tried rb25 pistons or different rods in a rb30 to raise comp?
  16. I have a n/a rb30 in my gts2 and i dont wanna go turbo because its a svd car. I have been doing some research but can't find any info at all on this subject, theres heaps on turbo conversions and rb25/26 head conversions but nothing on the sohc. I know i would make more power converting to dohc but i'd rather keep the car as standard as possible. I think the standard comp ratio is around 9 to 9.5:1 but would like around 10.5:1 or higher. I dont know what a standard gts2 rb30 is meant to make atw's but i'd wanna get atleast 130 atw. The only info i have found is that shaing the head would raise the comp slightly but would that be enough? Any info much appreciated .
  17. Ok thanks, should have really done fuel first i guess. Will fill up full tank of 98 and see if that helps. I'll get onto the r31 site now and do some searching.
  18. I have just purchased a gts2 r31, and while its a fantastic car and is in awesome condition i'm just wondering if its down on power at all. A good friend of mine who is a r31 nut reckons its down about 15-20% of its power, i was a little surprised when he said that but then again i've never driven an r31 before or a rb30 so i have no comparison, but how well are the gts2's meant to go? The car had been sitting in a garage for 2-3 years and only driven like 2000kms in those 3 years so i knew i'd have to replace items like plugs, fuel filters etc. It doesnt blow any white or blue smoke and the oil isn't milky or anything so i'd say that the head gasket and rings are ok. When i first drive her home it drove fine, just cruising on the freeway but then it wouldnt start again after i'd switched her of, so i assumed a cas sensor. I checked for codes but nothing for the cas sensor so i started looking elsewhere. I checked the plugs and found that they were absolutely rooted, covered in black soot. Replaced them only to have them foul up within 10mins of idleing. Kept looking. Next step was for me to change o2 sensor, fuel filter, water temp sensor and check timing. Timing was fully advanced for some reason, so I put it back to 20deg btdc. Plugs are now clean and it does go a little better but as my mate said it feels like something is restricting it, it has power but it just doesn't feel like 140kw. Check the air filtler and thats new and so is the airflow meter as the previous owner had replaced it, the injectors have also been cleaned apparently. I'm going to check the cam timing this weekend and check comps but other then that i don't no what else to check untill i can get her on the dyno. I'm assuming that standard these pull around 115-120 atw? The only thing i can think of is maybe someone has advanced the cam by one tooth as i know that people would advance the inlet with 4ag's to gain some more power but i doubt that would work on a sohc engine. If anyone has any ideas of what else to check please let me no. Cheers.
  19. Year:1989 Model: R31 gts2 (GTSR31) Body: 4 door Color: Red(ofcourse) Just picked her up tonight, feels good to own a nissan finally .
  20. To import one it'll cost around 4-6k to it, then just ad the shipping, stamp duty and compliance so around the same price anyways. Mad082: If you could let your mate no someone is interested in buying it maybe he'll think of selling , for the right price ofcourse. I don't mind paying the dough just as long as its a good example of one.
  21. I guess I really just have to have a good look at it. I was just wondering what people thought of the car i guess, if the price is around what it should be for one of these. I have done some searching but people seem to bring up figures like 5-7k max so i'm a little unsure how much its worth. But yeah your right, as soon as stuff starts going wrong i'll more then likely regret buying it, especially since fj20's are gonna be hard to get parts for.
  22. I am gonna be looking at this dr30 skyline on tuesday. Guy wants 9.5 with no compliance and 10.5 k complied and reg. The paint looks pretty good but the engine looks like its done 250,000kms plus. What do you guys think? How much would you pay? Only thing is i don't wanna not buy it only to find that i cant find another dr30 coupe for like a year or something, i know these are fairly rare now. Cheers.
  23. Is this still for sale? Is the engine engineered? Cheers.
