Ok this whole time I was thinking there was a camera in each headlight looking out at 45deg angle. I even had someone look at the screen whilst I looked at the headlight and I was in full view lol. Man I feel like a lemon now. Its the little picture on the button that threw me off. It's exactly where nickcorr described but the button shows the field of view coming from the headlights. So naturally I just assumed there were cameras in there ! This camera must have a serious fish eye lens !

No the v36 sedan 350gt was 2006-2008 5speed. Sedan 370gt 2008 onwards in 7speed. I don't see any dots on my rear bumper. Guess I don't have that option then. Here is my front camera. Mounted dead centre in front of the grille. No idea how to access it, would be handy as I have to park super close to missus car on driveway sometimes.

Sorry long thread title. Only owned this car a few weeks and still figuring out this nav unit. Can someone confirm if the 370gt has the reverse beeping proximity thingy ? I know the g37 has it. Also I saw the auto folding rear view mirrors on some of the 370gt coupes I test drove. Is this an option ? Does anyone know if these are on the 370gt sedans aswell ? I can't seem to find either of these features on my sedan. Another question, how do I look through the front camera and the camera on the driver side rear view mirror ? I can only see through the one on the passengers side by pressing the button on the top right of my ked pad cluster. FYI its a 2008 sedan type S. Hopefully those in the know can help out.

Foggy Cameras, Any Fix ?
Vanilla_Rice replied to Vanilla_Rice's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Wow looks like this isn't as common as I first thought. May have to investigate further on the infinity forums. -

Just had a close look. There is no condensation. The lens doesn't look to bad from the outside. -
Foggy Cameras, Any Fix ?

How hard is it to change these cameras ? anyone been through the process or knows a product I can use ? -
Only had this car 2 weeks but the foggy camera's are starting to bug me. Does anyone else have this problem ? Hope I'm not alone with this I tried cleaning them but I'm wondering if the previous owner used something harsh on them.

R32 Gts4/gtr Aftermarket Ecu Installation
Vanilla_Rice replied to Vanilla_Rice's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
T04GTR - this "speed signal wire" I assume you are talking about PIN 53 on the ECCS "Vehicle speed sensor" what pin is this connected to on the attessa ecu? I'm looking at CH-66 in the manual and cant see it? All the other ones I've found, thanks again. -
R32 Gts4/gtr Aftermarket Ecu Installation
Vanilla_Rice replied to Vanilla_Rice's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
yes thanks T04GTR I've just had it looked at by another guy this morning and those signals are the same ones he mentioned to me .. aswell as the "gearbox sensor" needs to be connected, not sure what that does or if its necessary.. -
R32 Gts4/gtr Aftermarket Ecu Installation
Vanilla_Rice replied to Vanilla_Rice's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Nope that was just the cost of wiring it in, I picked the wrong ecu and the wrong auto sparky. Not enough research on my part but I'm over it now and would like the 4wd working before I sell it. -
I'm wondering if there's anyone here that has had an auto-sparky hook up a full "standalone" ecu into their r32 GTS4 or GTR and how much they payed (Older style link in my case).. I had my ECU installed about a year ago and the 4WD was never hooked up so now it only works in 2wd. The attessa ecu is telling me there is a problem with the TPS ie no thottle signal to it. At the time I spent 1000 NZD to get it installed, now I've just got off the phone with the same guy who's been looking at the car this morning and he's telling me its gonna cost another 400-500 to get it working. I'm not happy, this should have been installed the first time.. I thought the 4wd worked because I had no 4wd warning light, It wasnt until I went to the drags and had my friend look at the front wheels while I had it on some grass to check, and they weren't moving. Is it much harder to install an aftermarket ecu to a 4wd? or is my auto-sparky a complete rip job? thanks in advance.

Can Someone Id These Shocks?
Vanilla_Rice replied to Vanilla_Rice's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
thanks mate, another question...(since you seem to know your suspension) His auction states "were fine when taken off, but unsure if they still have gas in them" What are the chances that stock suspension like these that havent been molested (ie. stortened struts or modified bumb stops etc.) would loose gas or pressure or whatever it is thats inside them?? I basically need some shocks that arent utter crap and will be fairly streetable with a potential buyer.. cheers -
There must be a LOT of pricks over here in NZ then
-
never mind I didnt realise ECCS was the same thing as stock ECU

yeah i noticed your having similar problems to me, where is the ECCS? is it under the parcel tray like the attessa ecu is?
-
not yet mitch but I've been trying. Can anyone tell me the path the rear loom takes to give tps signals to the attessa. I've checked the passengers side footwell but cant see the wires I'm after. Also, does anyone know if GTS4's use an ECCS control unit the same as the r32 gtr's do? If they do, where is it? cheers.

R32 Gts4 Handling Issues
Vanilla_Rice replied to Vanilla_Rice's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
no I havent yet, I have it booked in for Monday for wheel alignment. Just didnt think alignment was going to make it drive this way. But you raise a valid point, I definitely overlooked it. -
The back end of my r32 gts4 feels like its drunk, basically if I were to go over a bump at 60k's or so the back end feels like its snaking. Another way to describe it, if I were to have my HICAS un-presurised and have the internal shaft sitting loose inside there so it moves around when I drive thats what It feels like. I've recently bought one of these HICAS LOCK SHIM KITS, where I basically put a washer on either end of the solenoid so it stops moving left and right. Thought that would fix the issue but it still feels like crap, I get it at higher speeds aswell, out of fear for my safety I usually slow down.. Any Idea's? I run it in 2WD most times, but I dont think its related to that.. Maybe dodgy bushes?? but I just had my warrant of fitness renewed (sorry if aussie's dont call it that but NZ does) and they passed them fine. I assume the shim kit has locked the HICAS completely, I was going to install a proper lock bar but after getting stuffed around by the seller I decided against it. arghh help. Cant goto a track day with it like this.

Just been told I've been reading the pin out diagram wrong, Ill re-check the colours of the wires and have a look around engine bay harness or possibly the sub connector inside the foot well off the engine harness.
-
**Car is R32 GTS4** Since my aftermarket ecu installation my 4wd doesnt work and looking at my Attessa error codes TPS circuit is coming up. Looking at the TPS plug in the engine bay it has been disconnected which I think is why my 4WD isnt working. I having trouble figuring out what it used to be connected to, I checked the pin outs on the attessa ecu and the pin outs for the TPS circuit are 31-yellow/red stripe 47-black 48-purple I may have the bottom 2 colours mixed around but you get the idea. Anyway, I'm trying to find those 3 coloured wires connected to a dissconnected plug or something around where the TPS is. I cant see anything around there except for the cut off wires I've circled in the pic but the 3 wires there are yellow, black and white so they dont match. Can someone with either a r32 GTS4 or gtr please tell me what their TPS plug (the one thats floating around in the pic, it emerges from underneath the black tps box) is connected to? what colours are the 3 wires at the other end of the plug? are they Yellow, black and white?

I dont have a manual and I lost my copy I had on this computer. But this link is quite helpful: http://www.skylinesdownunder.com/forums/sh...hlight=tps+test I think I was looking at the idle contacts, hence the weird readings I found the other connector disconnected, which id imagine is the variable resistor one but cant see what it connects to. http://img33.imageshack.us/img33/5897/57520046.jpg
