Don't go assuming all cops are stupid, they will notice the restriction on your license, and if they don't like you, chances are they'll fine you. Also, if I were you, I would be "fussed" with insurace, you wouldn't want to spend the rest of your life paying off that Ferarri you rear ended.
  2. Checked it out this morning, good to get up close and poke around with no one hassling you Funny thing, I was walking back to my car when a Hilux mowed down a parking sign-pole right next to me, almost had to leap out of the way... he stopped and looked embarassed for a moment, then drove off... the pole was horizontal and blocking traffic and he drove off... surely you would stop and at least attempt to move the pole out of the way? some people.
  3. At least you didn't lose your license man, I couldn't imagine not being able to drive for 6-12 months. I lost my r32 in the wet the other day, it's now at the shop getting the rear cradle replaced, lucky no one else was around to see it at the time... so, lucky that didn't happen to you. I feel like I've learnt my lesson now, I'll be more sensible on the roads from now on. I should really get some advanced driving courses under my belt, and start getting into some track days!
  4. yeah, see my problem is i don't know anything about HICAS or power steering in general, so i don't really know where to start. i haven't changed the pump to single flow for the front wheels, how would i go about doing this? should this loosen up the steering without disconnecting the hicas computer and unnecessary lines?
  5. no one has anything for r32 in melb?
  6. yeah, girl i bought it off was really nice, gave me my money back and everything. offered to get me one which she thinks is the correct one. thinking i might just grab one off just jap to be safe.
  7. well just got it and it didn't fit. pretty p*ssed off about it. too thick and didn't have a temp sensor doesn't fit. not sure what to do now.
  8. Yeah you're right Char, i've been told that too... if not grounded then they can rust i believe.
  9. ^^damn that's no good, i'm picking mine up tomorrow so i'll be sure to take my tape measure along too. was also going to ask, are specific coolants needed for alloy radiators? or will any quality coolant do the job? Cheers!
  10. I also have a similar problem on my r32. steering will be light from start up, then after a few minutes will be really heavy. i have a lock bar but it's not installed. would this solve the problem? lol sorry to hijack your thread danny
  11. haha, yeah i know what you mean unix, but i need a cheap fix until i can get some cash for something quality. it's tough being a student lol. good to hear it does the job though. cheers again abu.
  12. great, thanks for that abu, i didn't realise there the option of pick-up, i was going to buy off ebay and it stated 'online sales only' but i am in melbourne so i will definately be doing that. do you remember where you picked yours up from abu?
  13. Hi all, I'm considering purchasing an ASI radiator for my r32: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ASI-52mm-Race-alumi...1|39:1|240:1318 Is anyone using this brand? was it just a straight drop-in job? will a 52mm core fit an r32 gts-t? Cheers for any help, Pat
  14. how much are you after linedup? would the 33 radiator be a straight drop-in replacement?
  15. sorry forgot to mention, i'm in melbourne. would prefer melbourne seller.
  16. Hey everyone, This morning I noticed a white substance coming out from under the bonnet on my r32. I opened the bonnet and saw that large amounts of coolant liquid had had sprayed from the outlet hose of the radiator. I unscrewed the hose and notice the piece of radiator where the hose clamps onto has broken away, just wanted to get some opinions on what I can do next. Does this mean a new radiator is in store? I have access to another standard radiator in very average condition, is it possible to just replace the top plastic section of the radiator without removing the core? Help would be great. Cheers - Pat.
  17. Doesn't have to be standard, can be any unit to fit r32
  18. Hey guys, Searching for a radiator to suit r32, must be in good condition. Cheers.

  22. Hi all, I've been in the market for an r32 gts-t for some time now, there is one i want to purchase but the buyer won't be selling until he has found something else to buy for himself with my coin, so it's back to hunting round for more. I am willing to spend up to the $10,000 mark, depending on the car itself of course. Car must be clean and well looked after. Please pm me. Cheers, Pat.
