Hey, I am currently of my P plates on the gold coast and am searching for a car. I have saved for 4 years, so i have been doing abit of research in order to avoid purchasing a lemon.
I was wondering what the reliability was like with a 1992 r32 coupe non turbo. Having a nice car is one thing, but being reliable is another. I am looking at an r32 which has done 160,000kms on the body and has an rb25de neo engine conversion done. Other modifications include: remote mounted coil packs, hks hyper d coil overs, light weight einki japanese wheels with staggered width and yokohama advan neova ad07 semi race tyres, 4 pot brake front and 2 pot rears, lsd diff, timing belt.
I am well aware that i will have to go check the car out myself to see the condition it is in and might get a car inspection done by RACQ. However the point of this post was to hear from experienced people who have gone down this path before. How are everybody's r32 non turbos holding up, how many km's do they have, and whether or not i will be having to continuously fork out sums of cash post-purchase of the vehicle for maintainence and replacing broken parts. (I simply will not have the money to do this)
Any comments are most welcome and will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
