hey any help would or advise would be appreciated I have recently installed an external bosch 044 fuel pump to a surge tank in the boot of my 92 R32 GTR and i have realized a sort of slurping noise through the pump and hoses after i have been driving around for a while. I had to install the surge tank as i had replaced my intank pump with a Bosch 040, but had fuel starvation issues at a half tank of fuel when going around any right hander. Was told its because of the placement of the pump in the GTR fuel tank makes it a b!tch to fit the pump and the pump doesnt have a sock filter which means it doesnt sit as low as a stock pump did before. So far i havent had any problems whilst cornering since installing the surge tank but im worried that i may have issues when down below half a tank of fuel and hard driving could cause problems. Is there away to modify the the 040 in the intank so it sits lower or to have a sock filter adjusted onto it so that i wouldnt have issues or have it sucking air instead of fuel to the external pump every time i get to half a tank? or is this something not to worry about? Anyways back to the external pumps noises, On starts in the morning all you can hear is the normal whining sound of the pump and no slurping but after driving around the slurping sounds start. I was told this could be air bubbles running through the pump or hoses as the fuel starts to rush into the pump, the fuel heating up can cause the pump to change tones or the fuel in the tank getting slushed around causing the intank pump to send air up to the surge ( i dont think its this one because i had the tank filled to the brim and the slurping sound was still there but i thought id through it in anways ). I was told not to worry as the car has been running fine so far and no fuel starvation issues thus far. is this something i should be worried about or is it in fact a normal sound? also in regards to the sound possibly being a clutch issue, i have recently installed a 4000 pound heavy duty single plate clutch. to be honest the sound is a bit hard to describe but i would definitely say its a rough mechanical turning sound almost shuddering. dont know if it will help, but yea

Thought i should describe the sound a little better, the noise is a grinding mechanical turning sound and only happens at low rpm on acceleration

Hey guys, Pretty new to the scene and very overprotective of my car hehe just need some help to calm my paranoid mind about my car... I got 92 R32 GTR and i get this loud mechanical sound upon acceleration at low rpm which almost sounds like its coming from the middle of the car. Usually happens when im 2nd gear and going over a speed bump then accelerate once i've gone over it, as well as driving around a car park or at low speeds in street the noise comes on accelration and then after about 2k rpm the sound just dissappears. Took it to a mechanic and they said everthing is fine and its just a common sound from the gearbox and its normal. Still i find the noise loud and annoying and was wondering if it could be something else such as cv joint or diff. Was wondering if anyone else has had the same problem? Also had a new Bosch 044intank installed and the car doesnt wanna start as nicely as it did before the swap (spark plugs? battery?)any ideas on this would be a big help Many thanks

i was using a 235/45 front and a 255/40 rear was told there isnt more than 3mm of difference in it and shouldnt affect the attesa. but from wat ive told u guys and your responses its seems it is and the tyres are the problme

Thanx for the help guys ive pulled the fuse and im ordering new tyres tomorow same as the rears 255/45 federal 595. Just curious cause the rear rim is slighlty wider then the front would that come into play at all or would everything be fine after all 4 tyres are 255/45??? just want to make sure so im not spending cash on tyres i wont be able to use again Thanks in advance

Hey guys, I was wondering if someone could lend me hand here, I got a 92 R32 GTR and recently changed the clutch and put new tyres on ( Federal 595 - 235 front 255 back on volk racing GT-C 17 inch) and im having this problem where my front torque gauge keeps showing torque going through to the front tyres through every gear even on low acceleration and while going the speed limit on the highway and when going into corners the torque drops. Finding this a real pain because prior to the change in clutch and tyres the torque gauge was reading 0 unless i did a heavy launch or back would come out when cornering then it would go up. the ATTESA line where bled and there are no air bubbles in the line, was also told the difference in tyres isnt mmore thatn 3mm, also i did have the 4wd light on the dash pop up a few times and sometimes stay on for long periods of time until car was switched off and restarted. Problem is really buggin me. dont know the cause but im thinking its the difference in the tyres thats put the system out of whack, and if so can it damage the system at all help would be much appreciated
