With engine off see if you can twist a A/C, PS or Alt belt more than 90degress with one hand. If you can, tighten it up. It May also be too tight and back off a touch if necessary. Can you isolate it to a single belt perhaps ? Using a glass of water just slowly dribble it onto 1 belt and listen for change. If no change, move to next belt.

When the noise stopped for a second, where were you squirting the water ?

Hi, Checking the obvious first - have you checked the slide switch that is on the front roof control for both sunroofs. It locks out the rear sunroof from being operated.

Hey, curious to see if this has been resolved ?

ok, so the engine does rotate when starting, but doesn't fire up. Do a basic spark test Remove #1 coil pack from engine and connect to a spark plug (leave coil pack wires connected). Rest the spark plug on an earthed part of car (engine). Attempt to start the car and have a friend look at spark plug for spark. User camera if no friend to be found. The link below will have pics/info on what to remove to get to spark plugs in case you didn't already know ! Pics are further down in a jumbled order. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/42819-rb25det-changing-the-spark-plugs/

The biggest issue is - Is this now a new problem ontop of check engine light and speedo dropping off, or somehow a part of it. When did the CEL and speedo issue start to occur ? After fixing something/replacing something ? Nistune ? And with no disrespect, lets be very clear on what happens when you start. Red lights on ACC - YES/NO Fuel Pump prime on IGN - YES/NO Starter motor click when starting - YES/NO Engine rotates when starting - YES/NO When starting it's misfiring/spluttering and won't run - YES/NO Diesel was substituted for Petrol - YES/NO

I wonder what kind of people live at "Iron Knob - SA", and do they get along with the people from "Blue Knob - NSW" Oh, and Hugh - your topic made me realise I did not have these details so I have updated.

Was rolling some smokes up at Point Danger this afternoon after work, and had a fellow Stagea owner pull over and have a chat. Top bloke Charlie is. At the moment it's putting out 320hp at wheels. Nice !

QLD - Spotted yesterday a silver s1 with metal mulisha sticker on back go past @ slacks creek.

When I fixed my back sunroof, the easiest way to remove it was to remove the outer ring, undo the 4 philips head (2 each side holding plastic covers) and then undo the 6x10mm nuts and push it straight up. It's 5 minutes or less work and it also allows you to clean places that never get cleaned. Yours is the front so I have taken a photo just to show. Hope this helps ! Jez

Went for a drive around Mt Cotton and pulled over to take a good side on photo (I don't have many !) Pretty boring I know Jez -
Start the engine, grab a hose and lightly start spraying water on and around all belts/pullies and see if noise changes/stops.

What Have You Done To Your Stagea Lately?
Jezboosted replied to Hanso's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Welcome back to QLD! you must be pumped to be back with the Stagea. If you had a simple bleed valve, as I did - you will love how much better an EBC is. Which one did you get ? Also did you buy F+R swaybars ? Will be interesting to hear more feedback on them. Can't help with much, but if you want to - try some 2000 wet n dry / scotch brite, then autosol or toothpaste on rag/buffing wheel. You may be surprised about getting rid of alot of scratches from the LCD -

Took a photo up at Mum and Dads today inbetween working on the Xk120. This is pretty much my safest ride height and where it will stay. 335mm front eyelid, 330mm rear. It clears up over any driveways, gutters and gives good enough travel over the shitty roads (I do alot of onsite callout's Tweed/Goldcoast). Even though my exhaust is tucked up pretty nicely, it's lowest point is 110mm off the deck. Car drives so well still for what is now 335,000klms on stock turbo no rebuilds. Been running 12psi+ for the last 200,000 klms Roil Additive at the start and motul 8100 excess every 10k. Have to credit Nissan for building such an outstanding engine, driveline - everything. Pennies are being saved now for a couple more suspension parts - front tension rods and swaybars. The clutch feels tired so probably needs doing soon and then I can get onto the better stuff in life - hypergear turbo, injectors, fuel pump, z32 afm, cams and nistune. Jez
