What Have You Done To Your Stagea Lately?
Jezboosted replied to Hanso's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
I first used 1200 sandpaper on a block of cork. Then I used a scotch brite pad with autosol, lastly autosol and a rag. I also polished up a dull front head light with autosol and a polish mop on my 18v ryobi drill. Fuel receipt eh ? cool ! -

Haven't fully removed roof lining yet but am going to. Here is shot of the rear roof section that i've removed the lining from. I was a little frustrated at first and then I quite enjoyed stripping everything out as there was alot of heavy stuff !! I also found a japanese receipt under the rear seat (anyone know what it is from ?) I also sanded and polished my neo badge as it was unrecognisable ! -

Unlucky for the damage mate. I had it happen when i had my mz20 soarer (shit i still have it !). Dinged up front and rear rims were the only damage though. One word of advice. Maybe limit what names you call the council, just in case one of the their friendly receptionists trawls sites like these looking for a flipside to a story. Hell, i only have to type in the two words, "pothole" and "stagea" into google, and i get this thread as No1 result Edit: PS - it looks like a pelican shat on your exhaust

M35 coming down Mt Tambo as i was heading up (coming from coomera way). Only saw you at last moment and car looked nice. wheels and low. Possibly more but i was too slow to see

Hi Adrian, You can go to nissan - http://www.nissanparts.com.au/ - which goes through to Von Bibra Nissan for the parts order. I got my rear bearings from them. You can also go to www.justjap.com, type "wgnc34" into the search, and on page2 you will see the front wheel bearing. This is not meant to be a rude "go search and find it yourself" but more a "teach a man to fish" Jez

Dear Santa, I think it would be easier for both C34 and M35 to have seperate threads. It seems both parties have concerns. I've read that some M35 owners see us (the C34'ers) as doing the same stuff over and over. Surely that must frustrate the M35 owners. If we had a seperate section, they wouldn't have to read our glitch in the matrix. I've also read that some of us (the C34'ers), see the M35 owners as only doing "accessory mods". Obviously this isn't true but it's infuriating the C34 crowd and they can't stand trawling through it. Seperate threads = ftw ? We are people of curiosity, interest and knowledge. For most of us, to post something up - even if it has been done before - is to show what "insert car owner" has done to "insert car owner"'s ride. We are either proud of what we have done / are sharing our experiences or like to hear feedback from other's who HAVE done the same mod. My opinion - I do like the fact that both cars are under the same roof, so to speak. Because even though i don't own an M35, I still read almost every post just for knowledge and idea's. And I don't care for easy. It's overrated PS. What's gonna happen if there's ever another stagea cruise ?? Will it be the highschool party where the cool kids don't mix with the footballers and you keep to yourselves ? ah dear. We both drive nissan right ? PPS. Milk and cookies in usual spot.

Spotted a silver S1 heading south on M1 turning off @ Smith St this morning 8:30'ish.

260tech - Big for the data collection there - That is fantastic to have all of that on one post. I will have a chat to some people where i got the wheel alignment done, and see if there is a reason why i can't get to 0mm toe rear. KiwiRS4T - You are right about the wandering! It's not massive, but a person used to a car would notice it. It just feels like the HiCas effect is more noticeable. Thanks heaps guys

Post A Pic Of Your Stagea Thread
Jezboosted replied to CruiseLiner's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Car looks great. Where did you got the roll bar setup from ? -
In the end the problem was very simple. I was parked on a road with some camber to the gutter. Fuel was just above reserve (no light on yet), but the angle of the road meant the pickup wasn't getting any juice. Apparently the fuel pump won't even make a noise if it can't sense fuel around it's pickup. 20ltrs more fuel in it, and away i go. Mods: Delete this thread if you wish.

Will shorting the negative side help when i am already getting power and earth to the pump ? multimeter reads 12v at fuel pump lead when turning key on. is it an amps thing ? not enough current ? Thanks for replying scott.

Hi All, Not expecting much here, but it appears my fuel pump has died today. Power still getting through to the pump, but no action from the pump. What is a std replacement that i can get for it ? Any other ideas on tips to try -i have already banged on the tank area around where the pump is to see if i could jolt it into life Many Thanks

Diy: Fitting Adjustable Rear Camber Arms
Jezboosted replied to STAGTR's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
No sorry, i am running adjustable toe as well. I think you will find that depending on how low you go, will decide whether stock toe arms are enough. I posted the text below in the suspension thread. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/53079-stagea-suspension/page__st__960 Initially before adj arms i had Front Total Toe +4.3mm Front Camber L -2.30° R -2.22° Rear Total Toe +5.7mm Rear Camber L -2.41° R -2.76° Now i have Front Total Toe +0.8mm Front Camber L -1.45° R -1.42° Rear Total Toe +2.3mm Rear Camber L -0.66° R -0.68° Eyebrow - Front 355mm - Rear 345mm -

Thanks heaps Commsman. Ok this one's for you then Take 2 -3 old 3.5" Desktop hard drives. Dismantle, and retrieve awesome magnets. Link together with wire and wrap around oil filter. Now people are gonna say, whatever, there's alloy filings that it isn't going to get etc.... well non ferrous metals can still get energy from friction motions (crankshaft rotation etc) so they will be attracted to a magnet. -

What Have You Done To Your Stagea Lately?
Jezboosted replied to Hanso's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
I have been tinkering with underbonnet temps and air intake temps lately and had a go at making my own air intake. I already had made a perspex heat shield quite a while ago, but there was nothing to help get cooler air to the filter. Our cheap, nasty mistral dryer karked it the other week and when it did i noticed it's air duct at the back was quite nicely shaped. But it wasn't long enough to do what i needed. Oh, Hi there black plastic garden barrier roll !! So i cut up various shapes of plastic to do what i needed. Then I used a heat gun to shape the plastic to the dryer intake and to clear engine bay stuff. Glued it all together and sprayed some matt black on for good measure. It definitely works. On the highway, i can feel a quicker response from the engine. Would love to run a temp probe of some sort and do back to back testing with it on and off so i have some figures to match what i think is a very positive improvement. The other thing i have done, is cut away a section of the rubber at the rear that seals the bonnet to the engine bay. This is on the exhaust/turbo side and lets alot of hot air out. After stopping the car i can tell the difference just by touching the bonnet in different places. It's alot cooler at the air filter end, and just warm at the turbo/exhaust end. I've felt my bonnet temps for along time prior (just for curiosity - ok, i'm weird) and this small mod has definitely helped alot.
