Diy: Fitting Adjustable Rear Camber Arms
Jezboosted replied to STAGTR's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
KiwiRS4T - whats your ratio of track/street driving ? mine is 99.99999% street - 1000k's a week. I wanted the car to stay low, not chew out tyres within 25,000k's and not have 4 rotations done in that period of time. I will have doubled the life of my tyres which will have paid for the suspension work by the time i need new tyres again. Makes sense in my situation. V28VX37 - I am running the NeoTech's on the rear as well and have been very happy with the quality and ease of adjustment. -
'cos it looks fully sikker when u got klear coverz. Nooooo! +2 Gates - I went for the whiney racing belt. The whine is almost gone after 20,000k's and i liked it anyway ( something wrong with me ?) . Why not get a stronger/higher temp belt for same money as a OEM ?

Stagea 4Wd System, Wheel Offsets And Tyre Size?
Jezboosted replied to Run-It-Hard's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
I run 17" / 235 / 45 all round on 8" front and 9" rear enkei's. there is no drivetrain lockup, your torque split gauge will always be at 0. Actually your torque split gauge is your best friend and watch it always. if you have a flattening tyre, it will show it before you feel it. My 2c -

Today I had a wheel alignment done again which is the first one after fitting adj. camber arms front and rear and also adj. rear traction rods. Tyres were lasting me about 25,000 klms. Insides of tyres wearing down so fast. Rotating would only help for so long. My main aim was to get the tyres wearing better with lowered suspension as i drive alot of k's on highway. Initially before adj arms i had Front Total Toe +4.3mm Front Camber L -2.30° R -2.22° Rear Total Toe +5.7mm Rear Camber L -2.41° R -2.76° Now i have Front Total Toe +0.8mm Front Camber L -1.45° R -1.42° Rear Total Toe +2.3mm Rear Camber L -0.66° R -0.68° Eyebrow - Front 355mm - Rear 345mm Wondering if others out there have this info handy and don't mind posting it up. Would be interesting to see Many Thanks

Dash Board Back Light Dim - Why ?
Jezboosted replied to nismo4's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
I bought Red LED's for the dash as they are the only colour apart from white/yellow that works. The red shines thru the orange film fine. As you can see in the photo though, one led has already began to fail (2 years old cheap china LED) at the top of the speedo it is dull. They begin to flicker before failing completely. Hope this helps -
This is random but had to post. I dunno i guess it was a black Ferrari 360 modena or something travelling North on M1 past Springwood with number plate 34-ETA. Am i mistaken here, or does a Ferrari now need to advertise that it can beat a 34 ? What, can't catch a 35 ?

What Is The Rarest Stag Part You Have Or Seen?
Jezboosted replied to dirtyRS4's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Mines all the same above but in optional lightning yellow and full dayz body kit. No carbon options. Not sure what you mean by privacy glass, don't think i have that ? I reckon this will be a pretty rare part - my dash will soon say 300,000 klms. Whos got a stag with that on the clock huh ?? yeah didn't think so Also for the rare S1 grille hunters http://www.nengun.co...item/x205277810 -
What Have You Done To Your Stagea Lately?
Jezboosted replied to Hanso's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
On the weekend I checked over my adjustable arms (camber/traction) and dropped the suspension 2cm allround. May drop it further, but will do a week of driving and go from there. Also removed the rear wing and debadged the boot. -
Has no one thought of the Toyota Blit ? i'm not sure if it can be imported LOL but whats not fun about a 1jzgte 4wd wagon ? Also what do people mean by handles like a wagon ? Maybe a stocker with boat springs. Coilovers / adjustable links - handles really well. Have made one motorbike rider on an RGV250 nervous on the way up mt tambo (from oxenford). He sat on my tail for a bit doing the whole left/right swerving (must warm up my tires for the big race). As always when a biker comes up from behind, i always stay as left as i can and give them plenty of room to overtake safe. He overtakes me and then looks back and signals me with his hands "c'mon" or "follow me". ok so i'm a sucker for peer pressure and chased him for a bit. His bike sounded good too. I don't mind smelling 2 stroke fumes at high revs I stuck on him through corners as he was hopping around on the limit. On straights he was pulling away like a rocket. And No, he wasn't the postman. Wagon ..... pfffft doesn't feel like it

I would be tracing the power wires for the stereo back to wherever they connect. Another idea is to use a (pro job) multimeter / (backyard job) test light / ( dodgy brothers 2 man job) 12v car globe with wires held and see what fuses have 12v with no ignition. Whichever fuses have 12v with no ignition - check them against your fuse chart to identify what the fuse is for and if it indeed should have 12v with no ignition - then pull it out and see if clock and radio go out - proceed to next otherwise Let us know how you go !

Drive the car as is and get another RB25DET built. How cheap is this RB25de your looking at ? How quick do you think you will be able to remove the 25det, sort out any problems with the 25de not connecting to something, and then have it running ? This could be days if not weeks of stuffing around !! How much are you prepared to pay for parts to get the 25de bolted and running that will probably be no use after ? Sure you can possibly sell them but.. How long do you expect the RB25det rebuild to take ? http://www.asianautospares.com.au/replacement-engines.php#Nissan - first site i looked at and you will probably find cheaper if you search harder. RB25DET for 4WD stagea or GTS4 - $2000 You say that money budgeting and time are big factors ? Problem solved - Stagea is already driveable and you can take as much time as you need to build the bought motor. And it doesn't matter how much we say it will cost - double it!!!!!! budgets are a lie Hope there is a bit of perspective in my dribble here Jez

Just Wanted Confirmation On Clutch For Rs4 S
Jezboosted replied to sturb25's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Out of curiosity - How does he know this ? What, everytime you go there he seperates your gearbox from the engine to see how much meat is left ? or does a simple clutch dump with revs which will fry even a new stock clutch ? Mine slipped when i first bought the car with over 3500rpm and a soft dump of clutch. I have had it for over 2 years and still have not replaced it ! (and i don't drive like a granny either ) -
Nice looking covers, i wish mine were that shiny. I am not sure if i am correct in saying this and would love to be corrected if wrong. From working at a metal fab business I learnt that when using different metals (ie. steel brush / alloy cover) you risk impregnating the metals. This could lead to some rusting/discolouration/corroding effect to the alloy. We always used a cutting compound and a fabric mop to cut metals back to a shine, and then a polish compound on another fabric mop to make it really shine. Thanks Jez

Jezboosted replied to Hanso's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers

do you mind showing a link to the BMC stopper ? or a brand name or somezing ? thanks -
I'd be very interested in an easy fix too. My rear sunroof does not leak, but i have noticed that it does not sit flush with roof anymore, it sits down maybe 5mm. I noticed it about 6months ago and did a quick search, found nothing. You can't even push it up from within so it's not that there is slack, something has changed like when an old CDROM drive skipped a tooth and will never close all the way again - until you ram it and fck it but at least its closed

What Have You Done To Your Stagea Lately?
Jezboosted replied to Hanso's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
I couldn't see how to edit my previous post sorry, so hope one cares about posting back to back ?! Over time I have been tidying up the engine bay (not with bling, just rerouting stuff). It looks alot better and is also easier to get access to commonly changed parts. Very happy. Before with Neo Cover Before without Neo Cover After Better Interior shot of gauges lit up Thanks, Jez -

Fitted 3 autometer sport comp gauges yesterday and today (oil temp, oil pressure, water temp). Made up a perspex bottom plate to replace clock and extend up to dash edge. Quite happy with end result. Thanks
