  1. You will need Nissan Consult III or a similiar tool to pair it.
  2. And the comedy continues. I don't get it. If you are so adamant that you are right with the tuning box, then prove it. Dyno before and after and 1/4 mile time slips. Prove us wrong. We have all been in the car modding community for long enough to know what are gimmicks and whats real.
  3. Yea me too, the first couple of years since they made it was pretty tough with things not working or it being too slow and stuff. Glad to see that it's refined quite abit now.
  4. Yea the JDM models are not on the sevs list yet.
  5. The only other thing I can say is the build quality was not great and did not look good. A few people I know ended up wrapping up the plastic trims etc. but your car, your call.
  6. You could get the android tesla screens - they are getting better with the newer versions since they use newer chipsets etc. You may get issues installing them if they send you a wrong harness and in some cases some features may not work. I can understand wanting to change. I went through a year of looking to change mine but decided not to after seeing how much f**king around it needed (this was when these were first released and many people were doing testing and talking to the manufacturer to get different things programmed for different variations of the car in USDM/JDM etc. The module currently in my V36 is from Naviplus. It's local and so far my AV guy have had good support from the guys at Naviplus. https://www.naviplus.com.au/online-store/Nissan-V36-J50-Skyline-Apple-CarPlay-&-Android-Auto-Integration-p96711064
  7. Maybe soon 😇
  8. What is your end goal? Is it to have Android Auto/Car Play? If so, you can get a module install to retain the factory screens.
  9. How do you find the lack of LSD after having it in the V36?
  10. Pre tune it was usually sitting around mid 12L/100km. Post tune it went to around 11L/100km.
  11. Wow low 9l/100km. I get mid 11l/100km on long distance freeway driving. That is incredible.
  12. I have had the same issue and my mechanics also have other customers with 06-08 V36 VQ35HR engines with these issues. Some of the 350z series ii gets them as well. So far we were unable to sort this out but get new throttle bodies or swap it from another vehicle.
  13. If you can find someone with the Nissan Consult III Plus, they can do it for you. So what happened to your ECU?
  14. What car do you have? I have one that I do not need. You will need to reprogram the BCM, keys fobs etc from memory.
  15. I got this one https://www.naviplus.com.au/online-store/Nissan-V36-J50-Skyline-Apple-CarPlay-&-Android-Auto-Integration-p96711064 It's good IMO, I get to bypass the HU signals by plugging the audio output of this unit straight into my sound processor. The Bose HU are shit. Will try to get some photos later but it uses the stock screen, triggers via one of the buttons, and works when you trigger the side or rear camera.
  16. A little low, but works for me. I don't use the CD player or the stock radio/media player for that matter. I have installed an aftermarket CarPlay/Android Auto unit for music/maps now.
  17. I use a CD slot mount by iOttie - https://www.amazon.com.au/iOttie-Holder-iPhone-Samsung-Smartphones/dp/B088GJBLLY?th=1 They have one that has wireless charging too.
  18. Yea fair call...anyway I'm very happy with what I have now
  19. Woo this one is a very interesting proposition. If I have not done the Naviplus install I would probably try this one: https://www.myg37.com/forums/audio-video-and-electronics/296526-how-i-replaced-upgraded-the-center-display-with-high-res-andriod-auto.html
  20. I'm not sure about Android Auto but updates for CarPlay comes with iOS updates on your phone so there is no need for updates on the module. I did the install on Thursday - the OEM screen looks crispier than I thought it would, good colour etc. Only touchscreen sensitivity is shit. I have not tried the wireless connection (there are a few dead spots in WA that I frequent so I can't be bothered using it) but wired works fine. The switching from OEM display to CarPlay is quick and easy, putting car into reverse shows the reverse camera which is great. The thing that is annoying would be changing aircon temps won't show on screen like when the reverse camera comes on. Unfortunate but having CarPlay and ability to use Siri is great.
  21. Nah I will only be using CarPlay so that doesn't bother me too much. My concerns with this unit is the sound quality. May bite the bullet.
  22. Did you end up doing this? i’m considering this unit https://www.naviplus.com.au/online-store/Nissan-V36-J50-Skyline-Apple-CarPlay-&-Android-Auto-Integration-p96711064
  23. Did you install them yourself and it was not stock? If stock, front and rear Akebonos use 2314 and 2315.
  24. Does your car not come with the big brakes from Akebono? If so, they use the same rotors and pads as the 370z - 2314/2315 range.
  25. With my V36 sedan I was able to go 1 inch drop before needing to get aftermarket camber kits.
