would it be worth using a 33 series 2 head? i assume the majority of the 34 wiring harness is the same as the 33? i had a 25/30 in my 32 originally had a 25 in it, and when i got it tuned the tuners said it had a 34 wiring harness

hey guys im in the works of planning a 25/34 build to go into my 34 GTT, im sourcing parts prices etc but one thing that im questioning is the neo head. Ive built a 25/30 for my 32 using a 33 series 2 head which i got the water gallery welded, and a external oil feed for the lifters is the neo head requiring the same work? im sure the water gallery has to be welded but is there anything different between a neo head opposed to the 33 head that needs to be addressed for this conversion?? thanks

hey guys got a R34 GTT a few weeks ago and its been converted to manual from auto, i wanna put a manual dash in it, does anyone know if a manual dash will plug in to loom or a few mods needed? cheers

garage 7 said there are not kits all has to be custom as said by above members, it'll be a challenge but keen for the conversion something different opposed to the 25/26 conversion most people do here

garage 7 in S.A wouldnt be able to help would they? i got all the stuff i need for s13 front set up from them they seem to know abit about 31's you dont know the guys name on ebay so i can search him or what i search under?? all this helps guys cheers!!

Yea got s13 front suspension set up with 33 calipers and bc coilovers It's different and well fun and I've seen none Thanks for help so far

Hey guys I got a series 3 r31 and looking to do a ls1 conversion, jist wondering if anyone knows if the is a conversion kit available and where I can get it from or what is needed to drop one in, I know there is s13 kits etc but have not seen one for r31 Cheers

hey guys quick question to anyone with a good knowledge base on r31's, if i wanted to remove the heater box/core and replace it as its not blowing hot air just cold air do i remove the whole dash to do so or can i get to it via glovebox removal and evaporator removal??? read a few threads and some say you dont have to remove dash and some say you do cheers

cant swap ignitor pack, i have a series 2 rb25 and the ignitor packs are built into the coil packs and ive swapped all of them and i still got the same result, maybe i need to get plugs with the right gap, whats weird is it ran fine before for ages then it started to play up, i swapped plugs with new platinums, it got alot better but not perfect

ok seeing as coil packs arnt the issue, ill get .8mm plugs and ill ring a wreckers and see if i can get my hands on a ignotir pack and see how we go

whats got me stumped is that i changed plugs and the hesitation had gone but still it seems to have a misfire/ popping/ backfire affect i changed the coil pack loom and coil packs over and no difference i even put mine on my gf's car and hers still ran nice and smooth with good power delivery. so that kinda pulled me away from it being a coil pack issue, im even thinking it could just be it backfiring out of the screamer pipe, the car still goes hard, i was thinking even maybe a air leak in cooler piping or vac lines? its been raining here in perth and my AFM is in cooler piping so maybe water could of stuffed it up causing it to make the tune out of whack whilst i was driving it through puddles etc? could be something as simple as i just need to get plugs with a .8mm gap?

well the plug from cylinder 1, the terminal had like a white powdery substance all over it and same with the inside of the coil all the rest where fine but on some the insulator had like brown burnt marks on the bototm of it and around the centre electrode its all black with carbon build up, could this mean anything towards it having a misfire on boost?? took it for a drive with my original splitfires in and new platinum plugs and its the same on boost seems to have like a misfire/ backfire/ popping effect could this be tune related?? is it best i take it to a tuner to run on a dyno to see if they can spot any bugs?? could a air leak cause it to wanna miss on boost??

ok so i swapped a whole coil pack assembly for all 6 cylinders and the harness from my mrs's car to mine and took it for a spin, still the same result, like a popping, misfiring sound, doesnt really seem to miss i think i can rule out its a coilpack if mine runs the same with 2 different harnesses, i even swapped the dud looking one with the white shit in it to her car and took hers for a drive and hers ran nicely no miss or hesitation, im going down the lines that the pooping/ miss sound is maybe from the screamer pipe under abit of heavy acceleration??, it doesnt do it all the time when on boost just sometimes through the rev range, might even pay to get plugs with a .8mm gap??

ill try gets some plugs with that size gap, and thats what i though but drove till warning light was on went to a different servo and still the same result. I put a set of platinum plugs in it this morning that i had sitting around, so i put them in and drove it the hesitation is gone but still has abit of a misfire i looked inside each coil pack when i changed plugs and cylinder 1 coil had a white powdery resedue and the little coil spring inside is like gone and all other coils are clean and have no pwdery stuff in it, and the top of the old plug was powdery and all crapped up, so i have a feeling its a combination of shit plugs which are failing when hot? and a crapped out cylinder one coil pack? i think the connection between the plug and coil is not good and spark has to jum further hence why still has abit of a miss??
