well i was gonna put new platinum plugs in and take it for a spin if no real change is there was gonna swap splitfires with my mrs's 32 and see if that makes a change then i can cross a few possible causes off my list

18psi of boost gonna smash new plugs in and see what happens, what gap size would use recommend?

hey guys tonight whilst driving my 32 i noticed that once it comes on boost it starts hesitating/ misfiring abit and a cloud of black smoke out the back. I put $20 of BP 98 in it before hand and thats when i started noticing it and thats the first time it happened, the night before i went on the Antilag cruise and again put fuel in before hand and it had no problems came on power fine and smooth. the car has splitfire coil packs with standard BOSCH plugs, forward facing plenum with saard injectors and a 35R turbo with 44mm gate im thinking it could be a bad batch of fuel?? possible coil pack?? and maybe the standard plugs have given up on life and thats causing the drama it idles fine, drives fine with no misfire but as soon as it creeps up to about 4-4.5rpm as the power comes on thats when it starts to hesitate and misfire, sometimes its not bad then some other times its pretty bad any suggestions???? cheers

hey guys does anyone have and stock 32,33,34 or s14 stockies that i could please borrow for pits opn monday!! car has been off the road for months and months awaiting permits, doin all the engineering stuff and need some wheels to borrow with good tread (have permits for wheels but pits still do not like) can pick up and will provide beers for someone helping us out cheers

ey guys des anyone have or no a guy aka "champ" apparantly he does custom piping n all that got refered to him by a mate who saw him on silviawa.. just wanting to no if anyone has his number so i can contact him for some work needed done on my 32 cheers

ey guys i have an RB25DET and i was just chasing the torque settings for the conrod bearings and the main bearings as i have rebuilt the motor someone told me that in the R33 owners manual it says mains are 46-52nm and conrods are 30nm just wondering if anyone has anything different, or has a site i can see, or any ther info, they just seem wrong like to lose/ not tight enough cheers

ey guys just wondering if anyone can help me out with torque settings for a RB25DET? I need torque settings for conrod bearings and main bearings ive heard from the R33 owners manual its 30nm for conrod and 46 - 52nm they just seem not right as in they would be to lose

ey fellas i just pulled my 25 apart to freshen her up with a rebuild before i slam some accesories on her and put her back in my 32 and just waiting on bearings but cant find any info on the torque settings for the main bearings and the conrod bearings.. i called nissan they cant help then i called KYP and they reckon 38 foot pound for conrod and 60 foot pund for mains so was just wondering if anyone else who has done this knows what the settings are ment to be or no where i can get em from?? cheers

ey guys im looking to by a GT35R or 35/40 for my RB25 just wondering if anyone can point me in the direction of a good shop in perth that has one or can get one in or a decent website?? kinda stuck on where to look so any info would be appreciated cheers

when you say the bost needle knocks around like crazy does your boost increase or nothing happens? from what your saying my assumption is your hitting a boost spike... and if there is no boost throughout 3rd- 5th i would throw out there you have a boost leak somewhere or your turbo is giving up or has given up on you

+1 how is it done? i thought you couldnt use an ecu such as a d jetro... i read a post saying that 25's dont use map sensors??

i see i see hmm i guess its probably best i call a tuning place like allstar or hyperdrive to see what they reckon... so whatta we think of the setup in regards to turbo choice? will she be to laggy or pretty responsive with the aid of new cams?

Yea sorry about that aha completely forgot to mention that im putting the head on a 30... well.... no....im not looking into power fc, haltech or motech only problem is finding one.. any ideas? tuning shops should stock them or be able to get them

and snozzle like your saying with me not being able to use the full potential of the 35R forgot to mention that im using the 25 head on my 30 bottom end so i kinda wanna set it up so i can put the head and block together and then back into the car... should still be able to have fun with a 35R though??

yea i got abit saved up and continuing to do that until end of july i was thinking about the de jetro but again funds may be an issue... i wanna maintain a top mount set up with external gate.. the only hick up im having is a turbo choice... i heard/ thought 35R's are pretty responsive thats why i was going to go for it with cams again see how much i got by the end of july and hopefully can scab enough up to buy cams as well 260 deg shuld help in the response department

hey guys, just wanting peoples opinions on this quick motor build im going to put together before august, use it for a while whilst im prepping a built 30 bottom end it consisits of: - standard RB25DET - top mount turbo manifold -40mm external gate with 1.1bar spring - GT30/GT35R turbo - Forward facing plenum - Atleast 770cc injectors -Bosch 044 fuel pump -Oil cooler kit - 52mm alloy radiaitor - Z32 airflow meter tuning wise thinking i may get away with a nistune with the help of a SAFC?? Later down the track ill smash in 260 deg cams or may have enough saved to put them in when i add the above extras but was thinking if im running only 15 psi of boost standard cams shoild be alright?? (please correct of im wrong) whatta we think?

best to buy a 30 from the quokka... cheap as chips roughly 150 for a block as far as turboing it goes from my understanding all blocks can be turboed cause they all have galleries for the turbo's oil and water lines just smash a 25 head on... 25DET heads require welding and tapping for oil to the lifters.. i got some info ive scabbed up if you need i can send em to ya

Yea like i said some just dont care where as some are hard arses i was shocked when he said you can only go up by 0.3L and he was gonna wreck me for a 25.... untill he saw rego papers , the guy i got was so messed he said on my re-inspection form that my fire extinguisher had to be re-postioned away from the foot area on my passegner side (i dono if its "illegal" to have it there just very weird)
