  1. hey fellas I put a RB25 in my 180sx couple of weeks ago and now i mounted up the R32 GTR front mount which i got with the car when i bought it now just lost on what cooler piping i use, RB25 piping?, GTR piping? or custom? cheers
  2. problem solved guys, was thinking of the 25/30 conversion but in the process of a hopeful/ succesful 26/30 build for my 32.. as i was removing the silicon from the bottom of the block i started digging up little 10mm thread holes in the block, once i cleaned the bottom of the block and changed the pick-up ad dropped the 25 sump on it all lined up, the guys who did the conversion on the car before i bought it muct of tapped out new holes for the 4wd sump and diff... all the stressing and all i had to do was clean it abit thanks for the advice fellas have a good chrissy!
  3. what would be the best suggestion im going on atm buying a rwd 25 bottom end and smashing the head off mine on it... or just buying a cheap 25 unless thesre is someone or some shop that possibly sells custom sumps...

  5. ey fellas got a bit of an issue here i had an RB25DET in my r32 gtst-4 and now im putting the RB into a 180sx i took the 4wd sump off and bought a standard RB25 sump from jap parts plus.. When i wen to put it on this arvo nothing lined up the sump seemed to short which leads me to believe they have given me the wrong one just wondering if anyone has any other possible ideas to why the so called standard sump doesnt line up with motor?? cheers
  6. hey fellas ive started to do the "blueprints" for a RB26/30DETT build to go into my R32 GTST4 and ive got a few questions that i would like to get other peoples opinions on, im aiming for good response from low-mid range power with a good compression ratio. Im putting forged pistons and rods in and am tossing up what would be a better piston with a good compression ratio to go for to get a good low-mid range power, any ideas?? Also just wanna know once the 26 head goes on will there be any problems with the valves opening up to low in the cylinder which could cause the piston to bend the valves?? kinda aiming to leave the top end standard maybe the use of better camshafts my aim is to have a very reliable bottom end where as the head i would like to be standard with the addition of bigger injectors, turbo, external gate etc any advice is appreciated just to see what others have done/ come up with cheers

  8. man if you love working on your car making it your own then keep your own car instead of buying someone eelses work...ive thought about selling my 32 heaps of times to buy something better but i always end up deciding that i wanna do it myself instead of buying someone elses work... i say keep our gtst

  11. hey fellas Im thinking of doing a RB25DET conversion into an R31 whilst i have no license and continuing a motor build on my R32. I was just seeing what some problems i could come across in terms of possibly changing cross members, k-frames etc? gear box mounts? any info would be great or a link to a possible thread cheers

  15. yea im leaving the bottom end standard with new piston rings.. thought as much about the head.. that means i would have to change the wiring harness??
  16. hi gtst v-spec i tried opening that file for the build but its a winzip format and i cannot open it or save it and then open it.. any other ideas or does someone have it that and would kindly send it to me?? thanks
  17. Hey guys Ive tried surfing the net but i cant find the appropriate information. I'm just wondering if any knows or has a link to a website or a picture that shows the timing belt assembly of an RB25/30DET motor? Also ive been hearing that i may have to put a new tensioner onto the block for the timing belt to be able to go on? Whats the best way to get a good compression ratio with good response out of this motor? Is it better to use a RB25DE or RB25DET head for this kind of conversion for results in compression and response? thanks
  18. also just wondering what size fuel pump and injectors i may need.. i wanna make between 350-400hp and ws thinking of using a BOSCH 044 fuel pump and 500-550cc injectors??

  20. ey fellas need some advice, i wanna build a hybrid motor with an RB30 bottom end with either a RB25 or RB26 head. the dilema im having is trying to find out which head will bolt straight on with the least amount of modifications? ive read some of the threads on RB30 conversions but still cant find one that will answer my question cheers

  23. hey fella's looking at putting a RB25/30det into my R32 GTST-4. Apparantly i need a sump adaptor so it will fit? just wanna gather some opinions and if i do who sells them or makes them? Also at the moment i have an RB25DET series 2 motor in the car. can i use the sump off that to put onto the RB30 block so it can fit? cheers
  24. Hey guys, im currently starting a project to build a hybrid RB30 motor with either a 25 or 26 head. just wanting to know which head would be easier to work with without drastic modifications? ie modifying water jackets etc cheers
  25. hey fellas just got a few questions that im not to sure about, im wanting to put an RB30 motor in with a 25 head into my R32 GTST4 i have a 32 GTR gearbox in it so i was just wondering: will the motor bolt straight in without changing engine mounts? will i have to change the cross member? any other suggestons? cheers guys
