i just thought of something,when i changed the turbo i cut the metal lines for the water and replaced them with rubber fuel hose,now this is working fine but because the turbo is sitting close to these lines could the turbo be heating up the water inside the rubber hoses?

hey im in Sunbury and i work in Broadmeadows/campbellfield, ill be up for a cruise anytime,maybe come down for a cruise on Sat night to maccas/mobil,hmm lets say around 11ish LOL

yeah jay a guy at work told me to do that,he did that in his race car and it worked well, oh well ill try the colderthermostat first,if that doesent work ill drill

well i looked in some books at autobarn but the rb20det isnt listed sooo i wouldnt have a clue where to get 1 from but i need to know asap

Just thought id ask what ppl have done about the engine temps rising when yourve put on a front mount cooler, as mines running alot hotter i need to do something about it, i was thinking first ill flush out the radiator,new coolant and colder thermostat to see if thatll work, also does any1 have a part no for the rb20det thermostat

arh ok will that stiffen up the whole car? also i guess they can be made to suit cars or do u think some companies would have 1 on the shelf

i need my ass end a bit stiffer,i was thinking some new bushes and a front and rear strut brace, will this do much? as now ive got a new turbo i gotta handbrake into corners a little more and rev my engine more lol, soooo i thought suspension mods might help get the ass end out a little better

i agree 100% with what nismogtsx has said, hes very knowledgable when it comes to these motors so listen to him ppls,and stop bagging red top rb20's lol

if its the red top eccs theres like 6kws difference from the r32 rb20det and red top rb20det,also the red tops CAN!!!!! be remapped Dr Drift can do it for a small fee, and ive worked my eccs red top a fair bit and its putting out a fair bit of power without and probs,soooo ill stick with the redtop and spend the extra money on turbo and cooler

yeah my mate worked at dynamic turbos for a while and he could actually climb into the turbos on the ships to fix them,there sooo cool -
how much are u getting it for? cause i think its a tiny bit bigger than the r33 turbo,but as every1 has said its no worth it

theres not much difference id buy the red top eccs and spend the extra 1000 that your saving on a new turbo and cooler
