yup thats what i got inark, also its just normal steel works fine i think itll be good enough for what u want,then once your finished get it powdercoated or if u can HPC coated

im thinking of buying a new/aftermarket bonnet and doing it myself seen as im good at pannel work

inark if u want goto "radiant exausts" in Footscray and buy a 2 1/2" SNAKE a snake is about 8ft long and has about 9 mandrell bends in it, they cost about $70-$80 and will be more than enough bends for a cooler setup

dr drift and i are hopefully testing out a couple of chips,also would it be worth buying a fuel pump and rising rate reg be4 the dyno day so if it starts to run lean i can put a bit more base pressure in? good idea?

yup i aggree with 100% with what u said, also another thing with mandrell bends is that when u weld them all together with the straights yourve probably caused alot of melted metal inside the joins,and would reduce airflow but with press bends u would have any welding hmmmm i might actually take my pipeing down to get press bent and get it flow tested at my old work to see if theres a difference

u guys say its a bitch to work with PFFFFT! your not very good welders then, at my last work where we built fuel tankers, and we had some of the best welders ive seen, if your good a tig welding then it should be easy,also its easy to find ally mandrell bends, usually i used to buy them in donuts and cut them down to whatever bend u wanted,u can get them in any size. If any1 wants any info on where to buy this stuff in Melbourne i can list a few places

id like to plan a cruise on this weekend if theres not too many ppl on holidays, also i want to make it out west, as in my side of town thinking maybe meet up ring rd maccas/mobil going up through sunshine,onto the calder then meet in either Sunbury or Gisbourne,then upto Mt Macedon then back down through county then some more back country roads and meet up back near the calder freeway so u can all find your way back easily, im wondering whether it should be a day cruise or night,only thing is mt macedon would be great at night but some might find it a little scarey lol so any suggestions would be great

thanks Boostmeister this is the type of replys i need,well alot of ppl need. The more info the better, i actually thought of it rubbing but didnt really think it would matter that much but ill have to put some more thought into it,also im trying to get a custom plenum made up with the throttlebody at the front,and also make the pipeing out of ally at the same time,as this will reduce lag a little and also look a treat. And yeah i have thought about putting the pod underneath i probably will do this in the next few weeks when i have some spare time,also i could put all the plastic covers back in to stop crap from going into the pod

its all steel inasnt just ive painted some lol yeah i might actually try a different pod to see if it is very restrictive, ill probably buy 1 and change it on the dyno to see if it makes a difference
