People seem to think that Nissan must make a track car to wear the GTR badge. THEY HAVE The ammount of time they spend in Germany going around the ring 5,000 times was not for beer drinking and sightseeing. they took a Porsche Turbo and used it as a benchmark and acomplished something that only the Japs can do. They took a great car (Porsche Turbo) Sanitised it and made it better, just like the did with Mercs when making the Lexus. I can assure you the GTR will be one of the best drivers cars this country has ever seen. Worrying about the DSG gearbox is like living in the 90's. If the Nissan engineers thought this car needed a manual, it would have one, or at least have an option for one. It is not like Nissan do not have AWD manual gearboxes that would do the job. People need to look at this car and admire the 5+ years of development, engineering and styling. While the front, roof, wheel nuts, may not be to your particular tastes, I can assure you it will be the best car you may get to drive PERIOD.

Love it or Hate it, you can expect a very long waiting list for people who wait until next year to order one. The allocation to Australia will be very low as Nissan will be churning out cars for Japan,USA and Europe. I was told Nissan would fill the orderes on a fist in first sold basis, and they we will see 6 cars per month. I expect to see the wait times go over 2 years for the latecommers. This will also increase the value of the car and bring in the speculators. In the USA the apparently cancel the warranties of cars sold in the first year to stop this happening.

If you want to buy one, find the biggest Nissan dealer in your state. I did mine at Col Crawford in Brookvale. I also know Crows Nest Nissan will also do it.
-
The info I posted is not confirmed. I would think only a handful of senior Nissan Execs would know the final details, and none would be sales people. The pricing they put on the order was approx $150,000 and delivery in 2009, so I guess they are giving me worst case.
-
I imagine it will be 2009 build if it is a March delivery. I will be in the first allocation, and this is the earliest ETA given. Japan is first, then USA then Oz. Japan will start delivery by Christmas.
-
I just ordered mine. Expected Feb/March 2009 delivery.

The differences were things like Trim (Leather), BOSE sound system, HID's, Wheels, Brakes and they did mention Tune. I guess they could bring out a NA and Turbo versions, this could be why there is such a big difference in price. I think we will know alot more in a weeks time once the TMS has revealed the GTR.

I just got back from placing an order for a new GTR. The unconfirmed details are: Delivery in the 1st 1/4 2009. 2 Models, one $80,000+ORC and the other being $120,000+ORC 3.8 twin turbo, 7 speed DSG, AWD Now I just need to wait 18months untill it arrives.

Remember that crime can happen anywhere. Thieves are opportunistic and lazy, so they will find the easiest target to steal from. People get complacent in their local leafy northshore area, untill something nasty happens. Be vigilant everywhere and if it feels bad/wrong then it usually is. I alsways watch my mirrors and make sure I am not being followed and always look around before I go to my car.

He might have had the wing ajusted wrong. Rather than massive downforce, it had massive lift and caused the rear end to fly. Pity the fool as that is one expensive learning mistake

Just adds weight to the media and governments harrasment of P platers and Skyline owners. I bet the guy hopes he gets life in jail as the dead mans family I am sure will be looking for revenge.

The anniversary of Brock's death is Saturday September 8th. In tribute to The Legend and in recognition for what he did for road safety there is an idea to do a "lights on" when driving on that day to show the motoring enthusiasts care about road safety. Pass the info on to your friends, rels or to other clubs.

Guys, Sorry for the late notice but.... I AM IN Got a pass form the boss and I will see you all there tomorrow night. -
I have that mag as well and it was a joke of an article. I mean they are writing an article about the police to motoring enthusiasts, the least they could do is get the RTA (aka gestapo) right. The cops were also not shown to be the brightest sparks on the front like. It seemed like a very lazy article and not worth the $'s is cost me.

The F6's have been around 300kw for a while now. I think the BF model they changed the cam timings and other things to get the EUROIII compliance. My car ran 241rwkw and is completly stock, even the airfilter. This would equate to around the 300kw mark. I think these pictures pure H O R N

I also like how I am down by default. Infortunatly I cannot make it. I need to help look after my new baby as my wife had a Cesar and cannot lift anything for a couple of weeks. Sorry guys, this is a VERY good place to eat, I would have driven into the city for that place. -
No gun = No car If 8 guys block my escape route, I will ram them and their cars whilst dialling 000 I would like to see them get me as the car is running them over. Did your mate get out of the car, why did he not ram his way out ?
