Territories have the same 5 stud pattern and offset as the Falcons. I do not think R34 rims would be rated for a 2.1ton softroader, but it would look nice.

I will be there for dinner

I got my car done with 35% as I did not want any hassels. The Tinter had a old Lexus Sorer with 10% all around and it was like black paint, he has had several encounters with cops, but as he is a tinter he seems to avoid a defect. While the cops may pick on you if you go darker than legal, you need to remember that "if" the tint causes an accident, your insurance could be voided, this is also the case if you run someone over. Your car is technically unroadworthy. I nearly ran a person over at night when turning into a side street in the wet. I had 20% tint and only missed them by a mm, it was way to close.

From the crappy pictures, I would say its a bleed valve. I do not think it could be much else from its location.

Thai Orchid is near the Five Dock area 1kg of Kobe Nick is over $150.... mmmm Volcanic Chicken $10

Thai ORchid...Thai Orchid...Thai Orchid For $25 and the best Thai you can eat how can you go wrong ? We ALWAYS have a good feed, good chat, good grog, good parking, good service, good....well just bloody good. It is also close for everyone except public transport people, but we are a C A R club

Shonen,You have my 2nd for Thai. RnR in Manly is the best steak place, but last time no one got out for less than $70 and the service was poor. There is another RnR in Gordon. I guess the prerequisets for a monthly dinner are: lots or Safe Parking Fair price Licensed or a super chiller next door. Who was it at the Northern who suggested a Thai place in Ryde are that was better than Thai Orchid ? While Manly is closer for me, I vote anywhere but there due to the parking and cost.

Roadside Mower = Hole In Car...
GTR R35 replied to Dragonforce's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Do not rely on the council to do anything. Their plan is to always wait it out. What I would do if I were you: Take heaps of photos and document everything about the scene, speed direction and location of incident and also as much info about your conversation with the mower man. Contact your insurance company and tell them wat happened and get the car fixed. The insurance company will want all the evidence and they will sort it out. If you do not have comp insurance, then get it fixed and send the council a letter of demand and follow it up. Your comp/3rd party insurance company will help you out. Do not let the council make it your problem. -
Meh, Fine if its the 23rd, I will see you next month. I think I will so to SushiYa on the 30th just because it is a great place. It also makes the best fried chicken strips this side of Sydney for all the softies. Sorry I cant make this one

Yes Radar Detectors are Illegal in all states but W.A (soon to change :-( ) No detector can be detected by police if its off, but you can still be fined even if it is in your car. Getting a hidden unit is the best way to avoid any problems. Do not buy the Stealth Ninja as it si a waste of money, is not stealth and does not even work well. If you want to defeat Laser (LIDAR) but a jammer/detector. They are about $400-800 and DO WORK.

I'm in if its the 30th as I will be living it up in Hamilton Island for 7 nights of R & R on the 23rd. I also LOVE that SushiYA place, it would be the best Shuhi in Sydney.

My company is looking for a person to write some PHP and XML pages to web enable a PHP database. This work would suite either a partime, contract or leading to a full time job. The XML/PHP is for internal use, but this could be a good opportunity for a young tallented programmer to get into a full time gig in a IT services company / ISP. The main requirements are: Strong knowladge of Mysql/XML/PHP interfacing Creative with webpage designs able to start in the next 4 weeks. So to clarify, if interested people want more info, please PM me. You will either be a student wanting afterhours/holiday work for this project only Someone looking for a casual project A company that does this sort of work on a contract or per hour basis Someone looking for a full time job Either way I want to hear from you. Our offices are in Frenchs Forest. Thanks Mal

The new Renaults have an anti glare coating, it is not tinted. Even my mate who tints windscreens said he would never tint one as they would be spotted a mile away by cops.

Are Xr6 Turbo Drivers The New Commodore Driver?
GTR R35 replied to morgsj50's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Having owned a XR6Turbo and now owning a Typhoon, I feel that it is the reverse. Everytime a green or red P plater in a Import see's me they want to line me up for a race. I also think it will be a long time before a falcon or holden is pulled over before an import as the cops just love picking on P Platers in turbo imports. -
Got Pulled Over While On Suspension
GTR R35 replied to BLACKR's topic in General Automotive Discussion
REdgtst, Your attitude is why the SA governement has added gaol time. PEople like you continue to ignore the fact that they should not drive, get caught and then drive again. This is a joke and you need to do some hard time to learn to obey the rules. How do you know that your unlicensed driving will never be a problem. If you kill someone while driving, you WILL go to gaol for a very long time. I strongly suggest you get an attitude ajustment and get off the road until you have done your penalty. We can only hope that the only accident you have while driving unlicensed is into a big tree, as it may be the only thing that knocks some sence into you.....what a tool -
cannot wait...mmm....beeeeer

Thanks guys, I love driving this car. Andrew, I will make sure its at the MArch dinner, but I will also be at the Feb one in 2 weeks. I am also looking forward to seeing how it drifts as I have installed King springs and Koni's today with some ajustable swaybars in a couple of weeks. Fatz, when is the next event ?

The car is 1800kg wet. I have owned 22 manuals and 2 autos. I could have got a manual, but the 6sp ZF Auto is a unbelievable gearbox. It is like no other auto I have ever driven. My XR6T was a manual and while it was fun, it did not suite the Turbo motor as it dumped boost each gearchange, where the auto just keeps pulling all the way. As for the 13.2, there have been several stock BF F6's that have run this time with everything totally stock. Once the motor free's up they may be good for a flat 13, if you stall it up. I also think it would break into the 12's with drag radials. I do not know why Wheels and Motor cannot get good times, but it may have to do with the fact they tested it on a 40deg c day and as we all know turbos do not like hot days.

Guys, For the people at the December club dinner will remember that I have ordered a FPV BF Typhoon, well I got it today. For the people who do not know this car, it is a 270kw, 6 speed ZF Auto and HUGE brembo brakes. Stock its good for a 13.2 1/4 and is one hell of a drive. The build quality is much better than my previous XR6Turbo, so overall I am estatic with the new car. Here are some pics.

I will be there if its on the northside or Thai Orchid. Should have the new car by then
-
The XR6Turbo is a awsome car and great value for money. Very few have problems, but the ones that do are generally fixed under the new car warranty. I know the guy who owns that car and his problems are mainly due to his pathetic dealer. This seems to be the biggest problem with Ford is their woeful dealer service network. They will try to weasel their way out of warranty work, but if you are persistant, the problems are fixed eventually. My XR6T is my first Ford, but I have just ordered a FPV typhoon as a replacement, so I guess you could say I am happy overall. While I had some issues with my car, I did not take the dealers BS and all the problems were sorted out.

Police Powers And Your Rights
GTR R35 replied to Johnny Cash's topic in General Automotive Discussion
If you want to know how the police work, then you need a copy of the Police SOPs (Standard Operating Procedure). It is the book on how to be a cop and has lots of info that interperets the law. Things like no radaring on the downhill. Do not book someone who is within 200m of another car traveling in the same direction when using radar, I could go on, but we need a copy. I have a few pages somewhere about radar operations. The second thing I strongly suggest is you record the conversation either by video or audio. Most mobile phones have video and/or audio recording. If you are pulled over by a hwp car in NSW they must advise them that you are being recorded by their incar system. Also after heaps of reading, I can tell you that laser detectors / jammers are LEGAL in NSW, as they only have banned Radar jammers/detectors.
