good point lachlan,but trust me,mine revs past 9000rpm.and thats why i want a limiter so that she doesnt spit out a rod.hopefully this spare ecu im waiting on will fix the problems and then all will be revealed...

hey all got some concerns with my ecu in my 1997 series1 RS4 ive searched through the forums for people with the same probs but cant find a definate answer any advice would be greatly appreciated 1-its got no rev limiter,it pulls off the tacho past 9000rpm in any gear...im not too keen on a rebuild when it finally goes bang 2-the 4WD light is constantly on,from the day i bought it, it has never been off and when pushed hard enough the stag will slide when it comes on boost through corners.which is normally fun but not in a 1600kg wagon with only basic suspension mods (whiteline front swaybar)with standard height,standard shocks and springs. the car has only had simple mods,as its a daily driver eg- pod filter,custom dump,advance front pipe 2 1/2 exhaust,gutted cat(sshhh) and its had the 100,000k service at sinergy motorsport the guys at sinergy looked all thro the car and found no aftermarket speed/rev cut devices and also did a codes check with no results...? numbers for the ECU are 23740 0V300 pcmnr030 c1 7327 any help and advice would be great and whats this brown connector thing in the loom?

my rear also needs some bracing...group buy maybe?

a heap of subbies and a massive amp will get you bouncing all the way down calder park.or you could sell the skyline and get a stock VN (hopefully the previous owner has drilled some holes in the muffler for better performance...) and do a monster 1wheel skid down calder

my old s2 RX7 had a warning chime buzzer thing hidden in the roof lining,for when it was revving it too hard.needless to say i found and snipped its wires pretty quickly

update everyone! meeting point will be harbor town car park 11am meet/ 12o'clock head off the local paper will be attending the BBQ and taking to people and taking plenty of photos,a story will then run in the following wednesdays paper.photos can be obtained for a small fee.there will be an article in this weeks paper informing locals of the meet and inviting them down for the BBQ and to make a donation if they wish i am now an authorised donations collector through the red cross,and have been supplied official collection tins,posters and a letter of authorisation if anyone wants to see it.everything is above board and i will be displaying my authorisation letter for everyones peace of mind. maps will be supplied at the meet point,plenty of winding roads for those that like corners.we WONT be speeding as i like having my license back.. should be a fun day for all,we'll see you out there! im all for neil having an account,it would be a great reference point for all those need info or advice concerning mods and laws.it would be also be good if hes willing for all SAU to pm him with questions or concerns.you never know,after joining our site and seeing that we are all responsible enthusiasts,we might see neil driving a skyline...
