Im doing an oil change tommorrow on my wifes Stagea. Just read the manual, says oil should be 5-30W. Bit of a bugger cause I stocked up on some Castrol Magnatec 10-40W while it was cheap (Might start feeding it to my R31). Think the guys doing the 10,000KM service have been using Castrol Magnatec Professional 5-40W. After 5000KMs the oil still has a bit of browny colour in it but engine only done 82K. The oil in my R31 goes black pretty quickly but its done closer to 400K.

I got a few ideas but anyone know what this black box is (From an R34 RB25DE Auto) ?

I just had my Stageas top tank replaced and radiator flushed. As it had a tiny leak. Quoted $300 drive in drive out, done under warranty

Hi, Just wondering if these fuel dampers are fitted to N/A R34 skylines? Here is a pick of one on my Stagea S2:
-
Your head might hurt after this. What end are you talking about? Not sure about rears but fronts on S2 RS4 are definately 290mm (I have measured mine, I actually measured 289 but anyway, 290 sounds good). Maybe if its a Autech 260 or something. Pretty sure rear rotors are same as a skyline or something. I'd be careful about saying the fronts are the same as a cima, laurel, gloria. Maybe a particular model of them. I have a gloria (think HY33) front setup on my r31 it was the same as R32/Z32 rotors. Other info: Front pads: GSL 009 (From GSL Rallysport) in two variates: HPX (Bendix Equavelent) or A1RM (for motor sports) www.gslrallysport.com Rear pads: Bendix DB1399 I bought both sets of pads from GSL Rallysport and got free post. Some poeple have said the rears are same as R31, I have both (r31 and DB1388) in front of me they are different but i haven't fitted the DB1399's yet. Will confirm in the next couple of weeks.

Too many options for alloy radiators Anyone had problems with alloy radiators ?
-
Sounds good to me, means i don't need to find any more wires
-
What was the outcome? Don't suppose it could be a problem with the water pump? My car is experiencing a tiny radiator leak. I'm thinking it might have the wrong radiator cap. The radiator cap I have is a DORTEC PDR11 0.9kg/cm PUSH TYPE RADIATOR CAP, Are these stock ones? I put on cap from an R31 just to try. I wonder if these radiator issues are caused by some importers putting in crappy coolant?

Thanks mate your a legend. Yeah the R33 GTR cluster I have has a oil temp meter instead of the volt meter. I got my cluster on Ebay for $99. I wonder if the GTR torque split gauge is different to stagea. Sounds like ETS wire on the Stagea goes to ground being black. The GTR has kg-m, I thought you said your one has percentage. I will give it a go anyway once I get the brakes sorted.
-
Thanks. Yeah im sticking with the stock setup for one more go.

I trial fitted some R32 4 spot calipers (They could be Z32 think they the same ???) on my RS4 Stagea S2. They seem to fit ok, just the brakeline bracket was a bit close, probably need som hammer time. The brake guy thinks the only problem might be slightly longer brake pedal. I didn't acually fit up the brakes lines, but I bolted everything in as well as the standard rim. All seems ok. I shaved the NISSAN logo off because I thought I needed to for another project. For now im just getting the discs machined and some QFM brake pads. Heres my pics:

From looking at my Attessa plug, maybe the gauge wires already go to the front of the car somewhere? Heres my dodgie low res pic:
-
Thanks for those awesome pics . Your crazy pulling it apart like that, but greatly appreciated. Yeah the R33 GTR cluster I have looks the same as that (from the rear anyway). What colour is the other ETS wire? If you could tell me the colours for each of those 8 wires that would be great (save me from metering them out). Yeah torque split gauge doesn't sound to interesting, but I have it now so might as well try to get it working. lachlanw I like how your car came with a cluster. I think its a bit stupid turbo cars coming without a boost gauge. I was starting to think i'll never get this sorted. Just for curiosity does your Attessa connector look like this:
-
Thats what i was thinking of doing originally. Until someone told me the 4wd works alot of the time, I thought it was just when the 4wd switch is turned on. Might be handy knowing what its doing. However it wouldn't be to hard to put a different gauge in.
-
lachlanw I will have to get drunk to understand your drunk talk That would be nice if you could find a diagram for the Attessa, Think you will find its just for the ECU diagram plenty of those around.

I have been searching around for information on wiring up the torque split gauge. Need connections for ATTESSA on a R33 or R34. No luck so far. Im starting to think the easiest way might be to find someone with a Stagea RS260 or R33-34 and find out the wiring colours for the 3 gauge cluster. Hopefully the wiring colours will be the same. Anyone got a wreck that has or had a 3 gauge cluster in it ? Maybe they had the same colours in the R32 as well.
-
From searching around supposably the Stagea uses the same ATTESSA as the R33 and R34 Skylines. I found one usless diagram for R33 and R34 Skyline Attessa but it didn't have wiring colours or image of the connector with pin numbers. Here is a pic I took of my Stagea S2 RS4 ATTESSA Controller: Here is a diagram I found for wiring up a TS-Dancer DancerDash ATESA Control Unit (Unfortunately it doesn't appear to use the gauge outputs): The R32 uses a different connectors for ATTESSA. Here is the R32 pinouts:

Has anyone tried putting R32 GTST front brakes on a Stagea S2 RS4? I am looking at using my stock 16inch wheels.
-
By turned off i ment the 4wd switch turned off. Thanks Is that R33 GTR ? Are they a bit thicker then Stagea items ?
-
horrace What was the outcome of this? I'm experiencing a similar problem in my stagea. I thought it was just warped discs and/or wheel bearings. When im doing +100KM the bonnet starts bumping about. This is with the 4wd turned off (not sure about with 4wd on).
-
Why do you need pinouts ? I need pinouts for the front torque gauge. I have the pinouts for I think the R32 GTR but could be different. Thanks, I think I found it. Its a pretty decent size box about the same size as an ECU. Just forward of the storage hole. Next step is working out the pinouts.
-
Find any info on this ? Do you now where the ATTESSA computer is located, i'm trying to wire up some GTR gauges.
-
Did you end up wiring it up ? I just bought an R33 GTR 3 gauge cluster (it has Front Torque, Oil Temp and Boost gauges). I'm thinking I probably would have been better off with a R32 or 34 set as they have Volts instead of Front Torque. I rarely run in 4wd mode so front torque probably isn't very useful. I'm pretty handy with a soldering iron and multi-meter so I will let you know how I go. If anyone has some handy hints that would be great. Im going to have a look for the plug. Most likely won't find one so probably solder in a different plug. The gauge connector has 8 pins: GND, ETS, ETS+, ILL+, ILL, OTM, BOOST+ and IGN. GND - Chassis Ground. ETS and ETS+ - Front torque (Anyone know about these??). ILL+ and ILL - Illumination (ILL probably connected to GND, ILL+ to 12V light on wiring). IGN - 12V Ignition wiring. BOOST+ - Boost sensor (Anyone know what voltage??). OTM - Oil Temp Meter (Anyone know what voltage??). I have a S2 Stagea RS4 so hopefully most of the sensors go back to the ECU. One slight problem im going to have is make it look factory. As on the R33 gauges the top right corner it chopped off. So im probably going to make a custom fibreglass front panel for it (when I can be bothered). Another reason I should have got an R32 one.

Thanks I ended up getting an R33 Sump off phatlavish from NSW. It turned up this morning and looks good.
