  1. Yeah Chasers have opened up a new work shop in Mitcham but all the tuning gets done in West Melbourne. So it's only mechanical in Mitcham. Take it to Paul and if there are other issues with the car mechanically then you know the job will be done in no time. One time they finished tuning my car at 6pm on a Saturday! Most parts are either there already or they can get them very quickly, there quality can't be faulted. Also it's best to find a mechanic and stick to them. Having a mechanic that has done all the work and knows your car makes it a lot easier to work with.
  2. how much does it cost roughly to take it to a shop to do this?? And if any one knows any post up a recommendation
  3. Hey mate would you know if this fits a gtt? If so is this the duct mounting kit or the in front of the radiator? You can call me on 0418 385 666
  4. Mate your only problem here is you dream too much and the only way to fix that is by making more money
  5. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vOYkjK_SIEs Best out of the 4 imo.
  6. Sorry to hear, Hope you get it back in one piece. Just curious as to what's wrong with your nephew? It's always hard when it's family f**king your life up and there own.
  7. Ok the bonnet strap is easy enough. There is one thing I find confusing and that is whether or not you need a roll cage to enter these events? Based on what was said at the start of page 2 you don't, but reading through the vehicle requirements it says you do? I have paid to enter this event and I don't have a roll cage in my car. Can you enter without a roll cage?
  8. - Roll Cages - Must be CAMS approved - Bonnet Catches - All rear-hinged bonnets must have an additional independent non-flexible strap fitted. Permanent straps/pins attached to the bonnet are not necessary. It is acceptable to tie the bonnet down with light rope. Bonnet Pins are also accepted. Under Vehicle Requirements are these two items necessary for every vehicle entering the event or only if you have them already then these rules apply.
  9. Hey Scott g/l with the sale mate! Would you be interested in selling your gauges for my stock gauges plus cash your way??
  10. For a good $50 per person go to Jims Greek Tavern at 32 Johnston St Collingwood. It's BYO but book before you go. Best greek food in Melbourne!
  11. I think you need to get the connectors or clips for them and thats all you need. Ask the guy your buying them off, or ring a supplier they should be able to help you out.
  12. Hey mate I noticed my oil pressure use to drop to about 1.5 sometimes when I was using a thiner oil (Motul 300v 10w40) Then on next oil change decided to use Motul 300v 15w50 and now it's always stable at 2 when warmed up. When I had my stock radiator temps on a warm day, city driving it would get up to 100 then on freeway with air con on 110 but never over. Start thumping it and after 2-3 minutes of that temps would easily reach 120.
  13. Out of that website the Jun looks better imo
  14. Hey mate do you have the side badges. The ones near the doors???
  15. Yeah I thought they were half the size. I've got a jjr cooling pro radiator going in tomorrow so should fix the problem. Thanks for the reply, I'll let you know how it goes.
  16. When I upgraged to rda I couldn't find any 4000 series rotors that suit a gtt. But the rda are a good buy and are a big difference in stopping power compared to stock.
  17. It's hard to say but stereotypes will always be around, but at least in that time people will probably start to see it as an enthusiast car.
  18. Yeah but people don't buy the paper because they want to read something good, crime and negative stories sell papers. A car enthusiast story will never make the main section of any paper. Thats what Motor and Wheels and any other car magazine is good for. Car enthusiasts are these magazines target audience and there's plenty of support for us in there. Maybe one day people doing up jap cars will be seen as a enthusiast like the hot rod community, but I think the jap culture is still to young at the moment. If you look back at hotroding 50-60 years ago they were seen as hoons, rebels ect... Wait till gtr's and supras become 30-40 years old and I guarantee young drivers wouldn't even go near them.
  19. Hey guys as title says. Been having temp issues with the new power upgrades, just wandering if my rad is a gtt one and not n/a. It looks to be about 10-15 mm thick and from memory I think r33 gtst radiators are about twice that in thickness? Have had new thermostat put in but car still heats up when cruising 5th gear at 100ks. Put heater on and then temps go back down. So frustrating any help would be great.
  20. Direct Clutch Services 4 Bimbol St, Albion QLD. 07 38622680 I've purchased one of there exedy Hi-Tourque cushion button clutches. Feels like stock but has better bite. Check out there website or give them a call, they have a huge range for all needs. I paid $900 for mine but its one of there stronger single plate clutches.
  21. Hey guys just a quick question here. I too am thinking off putting my stock air box back on (r34 gtt) to avoid getting defected (stock look). Car has a z32 afm, so just wondering before I start pulling things off will the afm fit into the standard air box?? Also what kind off panel filter would you recommend? Car is putting out 260rwkw if that helps.
