  1. Weather is going to be good on sunday, so I'm there. If not in the skyline, in something else. It's only $85...but just looked at the entry list though. WTF 58 cars!!! They better run multiple cars at once.
  2. still got the xover and the bov?
  3. $100-150, something like that.
  4. I use 20-25L getting to shep. there are two BP's in shep anyway. you dont really want the tank full when you get to deca. you will just waist fuel out the breather on the skid span.
  5. youre back in the country and the car is working?
  6. you can buy drift branded bases (rail) from autobarnz. they make em for all kinds of cars. this is just the base without sliders. i have a driver and passenger base in my car, didnt mount the sliders. bolted the seat straight into the base, real low
  7. http://www.wintonmotorraceway.com.au/home/...6&Itemid=41
  8. ya i try to leave at 4:30 and get to wallan around 6, but generally its more like 4:45 - 5am...ha
  9. I'm going, turbo car or not. It's 1.5 hours bang on from my place. freeway, eastlink, eastern, rosana, greeny, hume. I'll get at your place the same time as last DECA, make sure your awake this time!@!!#@$ ehaehaehah
  10. good stuff
  11. pieced it all together, very nice. are you in fifth going through the v8 start finish?
  12. its pretty easy. just select your csv file from racechrono to avi, select the laps you want to export. you get an avi file at the end of it. drop the race footage and the racechrono avi into pinnacle or pre
  13. get the vids up! ha i was trying to drive as smooth as possible. i have a tendency to push to hard at winton. in other news.
  14. the line that runs from the plenum to the carbon canister?
  15. Sanyo Xacti GC-10 (720p, SD card camcorder) Nokia E63 + 5hz bluetooth GPS + Racechrono software racechrono exports to csv (vbox and kml as well) so you can convert to video through racechrono to avi. cut the track video together with the timing using adobe premier, Pinnacle Studio etc.
  16. Well off came the manifold to turbz gasket is morning. all good, wriggle the turbo around, pull the old one off and put the new one on... Ya, um. with the nuts done up tight, looks like there is still a air gap in the middle....housing flange warped... I hope its the turbo housing anyway, as i don't want to take the manifold off (bitch). Well off comes the turbo tomorrow for a better look. Off to the machinist during the week and ready for AROCA Winton on Sunday...
  17. ya come to the tampered day in sept. 210rwkw and federal 595rsr
  18. not enough though
  19. Here is one of my feeble attempts at a 37.
  20. http://ontherunmotorsports.com/ roll guards as well. they did a good job on a mates m3.
  21. i've grown (skill wise) with my car. upgraded as I felt; either something was shitting me; or i needed to gain time. So there is no reason you cant do that with any of the cars that have been mentioned thus far. I've had fun and am having fun with the 33. So if you did go down that route, you will be happy. example is, running 8" rims all round on 235 rubber. could not go any faster (4-5 different days at winton), got some 9" rims and 255 rubber on the back and knocked off 2 seconds straight up.
  22. UAS spacers are only $350, all you need then is some 324mm RDA rotors or something. That is a brake upgrade for around $500. You could get away with the standard sized rotors with aggressive pads, but I found it to become annoying after a while and went with the UAS spacers. I use A1RM as well. Brakes are good, though in saying that, im sure 8 pot ksport would be better I've only got 210 at the rear wheels. I'm not sure what times youre doing around winton in the s13, but mine does 1.38's with non r comp tyres (595rs). Still has the interior, sound crap, a/c, heating etc etc. Still looks, kinda (bonnet) like a road car. Pickup a 33 for 8-9k then mod it as you go...you basically get something like my car for the price of a standard GTR. In saying that, you could do the same to an s14.
  23. yeh im bias, there is nothing wrong with a 33 gtst track day car. 'apparently' they are boats and that is why you see alot of 32's around. i've had no problems with my gtst. evo's are too easy to drive, so i wouldnt consider one. 33 gtst will need minimum of:- - 1.5 way diff - 324mm rotors and caliper adapters (i would get 8 pot ksport upgrade tho) The standard size rotor are just too small. As well as the normal power and supporting mods. Just like any other import, there are heaps of parts around for them. As someone crashes one on the street almost everyday of the week. My pockets arent deep enough for a gtr. You dont see many gtr's at the track that have standard engines, the majority of the gtst/gtt are still unopened though.
  24. ^^ good time. I saw your car in the pits and meant to say hi, didnt get around to it. next time. ya the standard rotor size shit me too, once they warm up, youre stuffed. i went the uas spacers http://nismo.com.au/pricelists/pricelist_skylinebrakes.htm (do not get the dba4000's) but looking back, i would have gone ksport/d2/g4 http://justjap.com/store/product.php?produ...=433&page=2
  25. seriously quick times from both Russ and Ant, well done. Ant you have to post up your jimms mowing moment. You wernt the only one, the chasers 32 knocked the front bar off and went for a swim. I spent the day fighting vibrating understeer and trying to find an exhaust leak. which i think must be the mani to turbo gasket. Front right tyre has been destroyed by the last couple of PI's that ive done The day ran so fast, it was relentless. only 4 groups for the day.
