  1. Free to get in. You'll need to enter the circuit and go through the tunnel, generally parking on the left away from the centre of the pit complex.
  2. Everyone has been there. We'll have an SAU VIC garage so come say hi.
  3. See people there. I'll be running through the requirements for licensing, safety and what you need to bring on the day. The team from Sabbadin will be running through what you car will need and what they recommend for track work.
  4. Car will be back out shaking off the cob webs from WTAC 2014 soon. Replacing gear, engine and brake fluids is the first point on the agenda. I'm still deciding on the aero department, so the car will be out as is from last year to start with. Will target changes for May in time to testing before NSW Time Attack in June.
  5. Tape the hand brake will help. It's low wear on tyres, but not zero wear. Bring general tools as the odd piping off is common, things comes loose with vibration.
  6. Yeh, I didn't realise that before I copy and pasted. Would be nice if they had a perm link option.
  7. Will be travelling down on the Sunday morning and returning that day. There is generally an open wheel class setup on these days, it's safer to separate the formula cars out from us tin tops.
  8. Waiting for permit approval first before perusing that.
  9. Sandown is un-timed (byo timer), but Circuit Club natsoft is timed.
  10. Remembering that we'll be dropping at least 2 rounds this year to make up the final results. So people who want to GP Saturday, just make it one of your drop rounds. It's a compromise, but for the opportunity to cut some laps with your Friends and Family in the passenger seat or get some skills training. I think it's worth it.
  11. 60 entries.
  12. Slight modification to the calendar, comments please. Good or bad? We would like to change this to the 14th of March with Circuit Club, comments please. Round 2 Sunday, 29 March 2015 Winton AROCA Hit the apex (driver training) & maximum laps (experienced drivers) event, passenger laps all afternoon Saturday, 4 April 2015 Sandown SAU VIC
  13. Confirmed Entry List (entries full) https://www.meecamsa...=609&Itemid=521 At this point entries are full, thank you everyone for the interest. Sorry to those who didn't make it in, however this is a test event for us. I'm hopeful to open entries to a larger number of people next time around. There are still a couple of spots up for grab to new members who want to get involved. So if you've signed up in the last 12 months, PM me.
  14. Pretty much 100% if this event runs well. Entries are full. There might be 3 spots up for grabs if a few people don't get back to me about their membership status.
  15. Awesome, will put the call out for that closer to the date.

As most of our members are aware, our previous Motorkhana facility (DECA Shep) was sold in 2014. The new owners of the facility altered the hire arrangements and made it impossible to insure the facility under AASA. The committee with your support spent a good part of 2014 investigating new venues to conduct Motorkhana and entry level Motorsport events in 2015. I'm happy to announce that we will open entires to members for our first Motorkhana of 2015 this Friday the 16th of January 2015 at 7AM. Entry details will be published on the forums, facebook, email and on our website. In preparation for entry you should sign up for a CAMS Event Entry login (free). As this is the system we will be using to manage entries for this event. https://www.meecamsau.com/ We will be taking entries via credit/debit card only. Processed through the CAMS secure payment system. There will only be 30 positions available! Saturday the 28th of February Members Entry Fee $85 Affiliated Car Clubs Entry Fee $105 Please read the suppregs and ensure you read through and understand them carefully. http://sauvic.com.au/motorsport/entry/SAU_VIC_Motorkhana_1_SubRegs_Event_Schedule.pdf (note this is our first CAMS template and we will improve the consistency as we move forward) The new facility is the Foresite Training complex in North Laverton. We have to extend a thank you to the owners and operators of the site for allowing us to conduct this (and hopefully future) events. Example of site (not setup as we will have it) SAU VIC has been affiliated with CAMS for a number of years, which allows our member to apply for competition licenses and attend track days, hill climbs and Motorkhana events held by other clubs under CAMS insurance. The big change for SAU VIC in 2015 is that we will be conducting events under CAMS insurance. In previous years a AASA license would have allowed you to enter our Motorkhana events, this is no longer the case. You will need to hold at a minimum a CAMS L2NS license. This type of license will allow you to attend our and other clubs Motorkhana events only. We would suggest that you opt to get the L2S license however, as it gives you access to attending events at track days (Sandown, Phillip Island, Winton, Calder etc). http://docs.cams.com.au/CAMS%20Forms/Competitors/CAMS%20Level%202%20Licence.pdf CAMS requires you to be a member of a CAMS affiliated car club (of which we are), so if you aren't a member of SAU VIC become one today. http://sauvic.com.au/how-to-join The schedule for the event will be forthcoming closer to the date. This being the first time using the site and running a CAMS based event, we expect there will be some bugs to iron out. We will also be announcing shortly: > Driver Skills and Practise Day (Sandown) > Driver Skills and Timed Laps (Broadford) Yours sincerely, SAU VIC President John Richardson
  17. Skyline is getting ready for a run.
  18. Looks great so far. Whens the aero coming to play? Tao does the SS2 Alpha with FNT, makes 350kw+. Though on your standard engine...not sure how far the internals go in a track day arrangement. Most of the guys struggled to hold oil pressure over 350kw.

  20. I'll have the skyline out for the Feb round.
  21. The 2015 championship will take the individual results from a drivers best 6 rounds. IE of the 8 rounds you only need to attend 6 rounds to maximise your points. However you can attend all 8 rounds and we will take your best 6 for the points. Championship classes will be determined before the first round, however they will be different to last year. The aim of this years championship is to include all makes and models of cars our member bring to the track and more fairly earn points.

  23. Not leaking, no knocks to note. All the clicks still work. Bushes are ok. I only changed them to go higher spring rate and have two way adjust.
  24. Yeh thanks
