  1. Yeh the 17th. But the day before is the Sandown round, so maybe not. There is another PIARC in sept on the 20somethingth.
  2. I made mine out of marine ply (15mm), like Russ's its flat and goes back to the steering rack. My understanding (not a professional) is the splitter works best when there is the greatest pressure difference under the car. So you need to block off as much of the front of the car as you can so air doesn't go under the car from through the front bar. I also added a NACA duct on either side under the splitter for oil and intake cooling. It will only work if it's solidly mounted to the car, if you can't stand on it (80-100kg) it's not going to me doing much.

  4. Start the diet now, so you can fit in the seat
  5. Circuit Club days are good. Have been to a couple previously.
  6. Thanks to Mick and the SAU VIc Team for organising and setting up the night.
  7. Not so much, no. Broadford more than likely.
  8. That was at the start of the season I suppose as you can't book that far in advance at PI. It's on the events page at rexy. Will confirm,
  9. DS3000 is a common GTR pad, club racer is also good.
  10. It's 20PSI, get's there a tad after 3,300rpm.
  11. Prep for NSW time attack and world time attack later in the year has started. After chasing boost leak issues over the weekend at world time attack last year i decided to get some of the cooler piping re-done. So Abe at Havoc fabed up a single peice section from the hot side to the cooler and re-worked the intake pipe. However on the dyno at Chequered it still wasnt right. Trent and Abe found the inlet manifold gasket (the upper one) was leaking badly. So changing that was fun... Anyway, back into the doctors for a checkup with the new gasket. And something else is a miss now... The waste gate actuator is too stiff and boost control is non-existant. So that inlet gasket must have been leaking a little bit for over a year. As the the actuator held boost fine prevoisly. Off with that actuator and on with a softer one. Car made more power and torque on the same pressure. Awesome.
  12. You should be ok. You have your card don't you? We send out updated stickers for the cards. email [email protected] and anna should be able to sort you out.
  13. Just incase anyone is interested. I going to head along to check the place out for future events. AROCA Broadford Sprint 1 June 2014 EF.doc AROCA Broadford Sprint 1 June 2014 Supp Regs.doc
  14. Committee has discussed the current entry situation and everyone should be aware that we expected approx 110 entries on the day. We did discuss removing this event from the MS calendar and replacing it with another in June. However it was agreed this would be too disrupting to everyone making plans for this event. We still plan to have a sit down discussion with WRX and talk through the issues that everyone has communitacted to us. All being well, we're hoping to be able to do that before the this event.
  15. I didn't enter either. We will be talking to the WRX guys over the weekend and will let everyone know the outcome.

  17. Skylines Australia Victoria have been encouraging entry level Motorsport events for 10 years. Within that time we were (arguably) the first car club to offer consistent events at the DECA training facility in Shepperton. These events have provided an avenue for members and other Motorsport fans to enjoy a safe, fun and social day with their car. In recent times the facility has changed ownership, with that the policies for operating the venue have changed. SAU VIC have been working with the new venue operator and AASA to ensure the continuation of the events into the future. At the current point in time the venue operator and AASA are working through a plan for the continued availability of the venue for use by car clubs. SAU VIC are supportive of this process and will continue to assist with a positive outcome for all involved. John Richardson SAU VIC President
  18. Thanks to eveyone thats put thier hand up to help this year. If you haven't already seen the thread over in the events section, we are discussing track day option for the victorian sau community not just club members. There is a gokart day being preped for June and I'm interested to see what else comes for the rest of the year.

  20. Winton is turnkey so no flaggies required. Broadford only needs a few. DECA is different, I'd like to keep this discussion about track days tho.
  21. Sandown has been the only 75dB day so far this year. In the past PI had been 75dB with WRX, that's not the case this year however.
  22. We'll be discussing with WRX, however we are capable of running both event mentioned. Winton has the lights and is turn key, Broadford requires 5 flaggies. Yep, the social groups would be timmed and included in the results.
