  1. 22 spots remaining. I would suggest that people enter. We are discussing options with WRX over the weekend, which may include moving the round to another day however to avoid disapointment enter. http://wrx.com.au/Default.aspx?pageId=1540753&eventId=899262&EventViewMode=EventDetails
  2. Thanks to everyone who could make it at short notice, it all came together on Friday night last week. I'd like to see more feedback from forum members (not just Vic club memeber) on two specific ideas. 1. Winton Track Day Format would be 3 compitition groups and 3 social groups. The compitition groups would have full timming, groups allocated based on previous times, no passengers and no more than 10 cars in each group. Sesssion times would run 12 mintues. Social groups would have full timming and groups allocated on previous or estimated time for safety and have no more than 15 cars per group running passengers all day. Session times would be 8 minutes. Total number of runs for each group would be 6-7. With a Maximum number of cars set at 75. The idea behind this format is to allow those you want to smash out lap times and get maximum lap for buck to enter in the compitition groups and those to want to have fun and show their friends around the track can go in a more relaxed social group. Lunch would be provided via a massive bbq. Entry would be no more than $210ea. 2. Broadford Track Day Format would be as a normal track day, with up to 6 competative groups of 8 cars per group. Giving 5-6 runs for each group for the day. 80% passenger session for each group during the day. Maximum number of cars would be no more than 50. Lunch would be provided via a massive bbq. Entry would be no more than $190ea.
  3. Yep, the Skyline has destroyed the top section of the intake gasket. But it's sporting new inter-cooler piping and a new exhaust to allow for some aero trickery. So May could be a go for it at Winton. The flags, well I don't have them any-more...I'll grab one of Dan or Laith.
  4. A few too many cars on the day, it was slow going getting through the groups. Credit to the officials though, as soon as the last car hit the pit entry the next group was straight out, the communication on the PA was great as well. I can understand it works financially, 7 groups of 20 odd is just too many cars though.
  5. There own members missed out. It's not going to happen often it's just this time, unsure of the reasoning as Sandown fills normally anyway.
  6. We are however working on Gokarts, Burger Night and BBQ
  7. Unfortunately not All the workshops asked were busy.
  8. Richo - President Dan - Vice President Anna - Secretary Tony - Treasurer Aaron - Events Oscar - Events Simon - Web Laith - Media Leon - DECA Matt - DECA Ryan - DECA Dave - Motorsport Andrew - Motorsport Martin - General Bec - General Summary - Dave will take on updating the MS Championship results - We are to make an effort to approach Broadford to secure a date for a motorsport event in 2014 and 2-3 motorsport events in 2015. - If Broadford does't result in anything, approach Haunted Hills for a motorsport event in 2014 and 2-3 events in 2015. - The new operators at DECA have drastically altered our long standing arrangement, as a direct result the cost of hiring and running the venue for the club has increase significantly. We have had to pass this onto competitors. Continue to monitor the state of the facility, while we are in a bind at the moment as there are no similar facilities available options may open up eg. 1. Winton skid pan (new, unknown costs, smaller than DECA, rough surface) 2. Lake Mountain large private car parks 3. Haunted Hills ATC type setup - SAU VIC members price for DECA, club to take on the difference - We will have a club garage at track days where possible or a marque - Organise a gokart day - Organise the renewal day out at MiColour
  9. The garages were all snapped up early, but the undercover area seemed to work. For Sandown we'll have a garage, with the plan of having a free bbq for SAU VIC members. Currently the next round is 13th of April.
  10. Martin will post more information shortly. However we think we've come up with an idea that should interest a whole bunch of you.
  11. Not sure, did you turn up to WRX PI? Are you all going to turn up to Winton? If so, hell yes there will be a class.
  12. Yep, the pre-set with nothing below 480p. So wasn't displaying...
  13. Laith it only works on mobile devices mate, I can't get it to play on the PC's I've got....
  14. Thanks to those who found the time to make it last night. Discussion was thick and we will have updates for everyone in the coming weeks. I can announce that Richo president Dan Vice President Anna Secretary Tony Treasurer
  15. We're going to wing it and see what options there are. From memory we are in the Sapphire Room.
  16. Or you could wait for the SAU VIC gokart day
  17. We where all too busy talking lol
  18. Yep club. Car will be in shakedown at Sandown earlier in the month.
  19. Bump
  20. It's cheap. $300-400 for entry in club. Which is multiples cheaper than WTAC. Both events were small fields, but it's the first year they have run it. I'd hope with a bit more promotion this year the field will be larger. Top 10 shoot-out is a nice change from the norm. I plan on going to both again.
  21. R34 has the torsen style, so a little better than the 32/33 diff. But still shit. You will find on track it's very disconcerting (shitting pans style) to have the thing hook up sometimes and not other times.
  22. I'm booked in for a massive garage clean out and working on car weekend in prep for the Time Attack season. So I'm going to miss it this year
