We can't have cars driving around the area all day for safety reasons. After 10:30-10:45 you won't be able to get onto the park area. We will be allowing some cars to leave early however as they have other commitments.

Haha yeh. It's addictive for sure! Last event was just before XMAS, we had to change the diff again. On the day this time as the built one failed.... Bleh! Have a weekends worth of work to get it up to scratch for the Time Attack season soon.

Timing is provided on the day. You will receive it at sign in (around the corner from sign in). I'll be there to sign temporary CAMS forms if required. Print it and bring it, as I won't be brining any. Garage's can be hired on the day, generally they don't sell out at PI as they are silly $$$, so you should be ok. Ask at sign in. Can everyone please make sure their fire ext are within date, you have been warned! I can't comment on the 123's as I haven't used them. However the RS3 and AD08R are good tyres. I find the AD08 is a more progressive tyre to drive on and generally you can lap more consistently with it. Hot lap for hot lap they are pretty similar, but the AD08 will be 2-3 and even 4 in a row within a handful of tenths.

It's on holiday for the moment. Need a bunch of fiddly things done it to plus a cage.

I'll be driving the evo, so we'll just be sitting our gear out in the open as well.

All Committee positions are up for voting and nomination. However it will only be the Executive Committee who gets voted in on the night of the EGM by the existing member base. The Executive committee will then pick the general committee as they see fit from the members who are nominated here. It is wholly the duty of the Executive Committee to pick, add, delete, and change the General Committee as they see fit. Nominations can only be made by financial members of SAU-Vic. Please note that the General Committee does not need to be nominated here to be selected... However please use this thread as a good opportunity to make yourself known to the new Executive Committee so as they can pick their General Committee quickly. If you would like to be involved on the Committee, please nominate yourself. If you think someone else would be great in a Committee role - please nominate them. For a nomination to be valid it must be seconded by a current Club Member and the person must accept the nomination. Don't be scared - this is a great way to get more involved with your club. Vice President This is the clubs second in command role. This person is responsible for day to day running of the various "departments" of the club. They act as a fill in for when the President is absent from meeting, events and other appearances. They also cover any absences for any decision making requirements and processes. Secretary Responsible for all club mail, notices, memberships, member enquiries, member questions and bulletins. The secretary should also track our various club affiliation agreements (insurance etc) and ensure all of the club information is up to date and correct. The secretary should also handle all memberships’ add/changes/deletes Treasurer The treasurer is responsible for the clubs trading funds and bankroll. It is their responsibility to ensure funds for events, purchases, stock, merchandise, deposits etc is handled correctly. All money transfers, transactions, purchases need to be logged and recorded for our regular balance checks and yearly reviews. This person has direct access to the SAU bank account and financial data. This person is called upon also when cross planning events and new ideas to ensure adequate funds and capacity is available. As we are non profit car club this role is very important and all steps must be taken to protect the clubs money.

I'm aiming for the voting this year to cater for a broader car audience (as not all of you have S and R chassis cars). While at the same time solving some of the voting issues. EG if there are three killer R34's that you really like, which one do you vote for (well you want to vote for all of them). All you 4 door and VQ guys need not despair this year, similarly all those peasants with Evo's. So yes, entirely classless this year. However, all the awards will be presented on the day. So for the lucky ones you will drive away with some silverware.

Madden's brother has one in Brissy. It's an ok car, but requires a tune big time. There is no power what so ever under 4K, they have neutered the poor thing. Also fuel consumption is not a strong point (13L/100 is their average).

They also don't release what double lines mean, I think in a G wagon the double lines are optional. As the next tight right hander it was well over into the land sprinting into the distance.

They are a good option if you were going to buy/lease one new and novate or salary package. As a second hand car and something bang for buck, 10 doesn't come close to 7-8. 8 with the 6spd is currently best bang for buck imo. 6 months ago it was the 7, but the 8's have come down. Just have a look at prices of 9's they are stupidly expensive.
