  1. You can see the gurney fitting here and the bonnet pins in the boot. The oe lock hole was used to another bonnet pin on a bracket to hold everything down. The gurney is just a piece of 10mm angled alloy from bunnings with slots cut in it allowing it to be bent into shape.
  2. next up, more lightening. With the boot skin and hinges and lock gone. Bonnet pins now hold it all in place. Best way to line up the holes on the bonnet, drill it from the inside... Rear wiper motor and gear removed here as well and the radio antenna motor.
  3. sound deadener delete. we also remove everything under the dash. though left the firewall heat shielding. This stuff at the back was too hard to get too and I didnt have a heat gun. So I left it, will get back to it another day.
  4. more upgrades before NSW rear gurney, test fitting here. End results is black.
  5. There isn't enough time for parts to come in a put the diff back together before NSW Time Attack, so I raid my brothers daily. Which has a newer NISMO GT 1.5 way (mine is an old NISMO mech 2 way). But is a non ABS housing diff. So I'll be running NSW TA without ABS At the same time the rear arms go off to pedders for polly bushes and new ball joints.
  6. So we pull the diff down. once the centre is pulled down, we find That a number of the plates have had their inside teeth removed....
  7. The next days, something is wrong. The is loading and unloading during cornering.. I manage a 1.19, but call it a day early as it dicey as.
  8. Hit up Winton again at a club day not that long after. Got the time down to a 1.31.2
  9. Vic Time Attack 2013 Finished with a 1.32.3, that's 4 seconds faster then my previous PB there.
  10. more powerrrrrrrrrrrr change the stock intake pipe to a hard one and give it more boost. Also had to change the actuator from the stock one to a HKS 1 bar. The little 21U won't hold boost up top and bleeds off to from 18 to 15PSI
  11. A change in wheel size. From 17x9 +22 to 18x10 +35, these needed a 5mm spacer on the front to clear the inside. Also, the regs for Vic were a little stuffed and allow club cars to run r comp tyres. So a set of 265 A050's in medium, my first try at an r comp tyre.
  12. So the focus is firmly on World Time Attack in October. Then Winton/Wakefield come up with feeder state rounds. So it's on to improve the car in readiness for the Vic round. Weight, removing the AC And ducting between the intercooler and radiator Adding a power steering cooler at the same time. Changing the spring rates from 8/6 to 10/7, longer wheel studs
  13. More to come next week. Nsw round. Though I didnt have their camera in the car much. Would have been good, as there was some serious sideways action in the cold. I think all the evos got the cameras.
  14. Haven't yet. They are much heavier than 1200, thats for sure. Nissan says 1370ish from the factory. I'd say it's 1300'ish at the moment. You can take a heap off metal and gear off it, but there has been so much added.
  15. Panels come in capacity from 170-250w ea. 4.9kw used to be the bigest ud see on resi. As thst was the limit for prem feed in (60c). But thats gone now. Much more than 8kw and uve got a load of panels. Generally not enough room on most roofs. If ur a high consumer or with young kids at home or retired, then it will pay off 5-7 yrs. else for most people its still a 10yr deal.
  16. SAU Nationals 2012 comes around, after WTAC a new seat is in order. SPARCO Corsa Apart from that the car didn't change, same set of tyres etc.
  17. Ended up 10th in Club Sprint.
  18. The car ended up looking like this. Every crack taped up, even the doors...
  19. that changed on day too...the guys decided that tap was the answer.
  20. on the road to wtac. started the weekend looking like this.
  21. So a clean up before WTAC. bump now gone!
  22. Yep, very noticeable difference. Even it it's pitch. Tested here.
  23. Next up WTAC 2012. And some more power, via E85, 850cc injectors and z32 afm. I'd had S15 injectors in for one even, just to test and see if the turbo would yield more power. so S15 vs 850cc here.
  24. We made the splitter out of 2mm alloy and attached it with brakets to the chassis rails and the front bar. It worked, knocked 2 seconds off with the rear wing and front splitter
  25. So i need to get the bar lower. This is a viva garage lip, which lowers things down about 15mm.
