  1. Autobarn for ext. $35 http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/376435-cams-approved-fire-extinguisher-bracket/page__pid__6436271__st__20#entry6436271
  2. You don't have to pay bus drivers as much as train drivers and the training turn around is lesser... Lol, the only way to get out there is via private toll road. No way the government will step on that. Skybus to train station.
  3. Fire ext that is bolted in. I'd use the passenger front seat mounts. Single bolt hole or tekscrew will not pass. The fire ext only lasts 3 years from the date stamped on it. There is a thread is the MS section about mounts. Blue battery tri-angle. Blue contact from newsagent cut it. 15x15x15 cm Helmet with aus standard sticker. CAMS L2S. Pants, shoes and a long sleve or jumper. That is all you need.
  4. It's very easy to use for sure.
  5. They have always done that. The PI at the start of the year and specialty events like broadford etc. But they generally run a couple of open Sandown and Wintons' a year. Their PI events are generally members only days. I think this is because they allow passengers for the first two sessions.
  6. Yes they are, that would be my main concern. Also Mas days, haven't been to one since Jim isn't conducting them anymore. Not sure how they operate now. But they are also very full days to start with. Discussion is needed for sure.
  7. Yes, generally speaking. First session in DT is with a instructor. Then after that you are free without one. You get the same amount of track time as anyone else. Which at this event will be a load, as a heap of us will be in Sydney.
  8. I find dashware works better than race2avi. The fastest lap in race2avi always bugs if you are trying to string laps together. I'll forward through the conf files. What I don't like about dashware is the video codec they use.
  9. Thats the one.
  10. We are both using shitty Nokia Mobile phones + racechrono and a QSTARZ GPS. Jon is using Dashware, I'm using racechrono2AVI then Adobe Pre.
  11. At the end of the day, freedom in the rules is what makes time attack.
  12. 60 seconds then back into the pits for 20 minutes.
  13. Overfenders are out for club atm, as u need to run metal gaurds. Although metal overfender I suppose... I think that should stay, else u have club sprint running 295 rubber. The only issuse is that some cars come with a flat floor from the factory, one in all in surely is the fare thing to do? I'd like to see no canards in club and a restriction on front lip length in both club and open classes. Also a min height in club. Maybe topgear speed bump test, lol. If the cars are to be 'street', surely u have to be able to drive them, well on the street.
  14. The commitments in time to run our own and the training requirement for CAMS are quite high. AROCA ran a very successful Broadford track day over the weekend (just on youtube). I would be more inclined for SAU VIC to continue to be involved in entry level events like DECA and expland into Broadford or Haunted Hills, more so broadford as I personally dislike HH. Next years track calendar will be of great debate I'm sure.
  15. Great stuff!
  16. It looked to have a cyber front end in the other pics.
  17. But there is no reason any of the EVO's can't run a cyber rear wing and front bar. That plus mega HP will make a quick car. The only real aero restriction I can see from past events is the rear bootlid and the front guards (which limit the tyre size).
  18. Brass valve caps thingos. They are not installed on the valves, rather drilled into the wheel somewhere.
  19. Install night before track day. Goto track. Smash them hard in the first sesh. Come in early and let then cool for as long as posdible. Ive never been able to get enough heat through them on the road. I got 5 pad sets and 25 ish track days out of my first set of ksport rotors.
  20. lol, you may have been in the group just after Martin came back into the pits, thus no photos.
