  1. It does push a little through turn 2 at EC and PI. Outer edge gets beaten on a little.
  2. -3 degrees on the front. I'm not sure what the travel is off the top of my head.
  3. I found at those heights I couldn't get the camber I wanted on the front. That too me is more important than bump and roll. It sits from 325-335 depending on the track and conditions on the day. Starting point is 5mm front to rear difference though. It has some bump tie rods in the front, though I couldn't feel the difference.
  4. A few, sounds like lots of work!
  5. Looks like killer fun, bit of a bummer knocking into the WRX. He was in no-mans land out there hard to either of you to know that the other was going to do.
  6. Yep, I'm following that development at the moment. From memory I'm making 18psi @ ~3400rpm on the current turbo, so extremely responsive. Maybe we should take the R34 out to Sandown on the 4th of April and do some track testing I'm running a Greddy LS cooler, seems ok...
  7. You know what it's like, same old story of money. Going external gate, changing the manifold is a big time and money investment. Unless you have a spare brae manifold I could borrow for a few months
  8. What the hell were you doing to the poor clutch to cause that, lol? We still have plenty of spots open for the day, so if you are on the fence, get off it, as the long range forecast is for 0% chance of rain. Here is a little inspirational video from 2012 with Cam Mcconville doing a track walk.
  9. Funnily enough, yes it's a bastard of a job. We've used a wire brush drill bit and without that it would have been a nightmare. I spent a day sanding the front half of the cage and painting it. The old man then finished off the rest. So there are two coats of grey RustSeal over the whole lot now. RustSeal doesn't have any UV protection, so we either need to clear it, or what the old man wants to do, get some KR4 made up with UV protection and do the cage and the gruby interior. I think I prefer the RustSeal grey, it's much lighter than Nissan KR4. But I kinda like it. Either way it's still not over yet, as under the car needs to be done. Found this magic paint, RustSeal that you bush on. So no need to mask the whole car up etc etc.
  10. Yep, very similar. Minus a couple of bars.
  11. Like you, I've only sat in it a couple of times. I haven't noticed any restriction to the view yet. Trimming the dash and re-fitting the window over the next week and at the track on the 4th. So will be a good test.
  12. The seat mount has been customised by the guys, so the height of the bar is a little misleading. It's not as easy to get in as before that's for sure.
  13. It's been quiet on the car front recently with the mistress spending some time with another man at McQueen Motorsport / Hoppers Stoppers. With the car faster than 40% of the open class field at World Time Attack Challenge last year and the oldest car in the top 10 of club sprint, the cage was a self imposed requirement. I'm never going to be happy with the performance and will always want more out of it. The recent track day at Phillip Island highlighted a few major areas to ...work on to get more time out of it. Bigger brakes all round, more aero performance among them. The budget won't stretch as far to solve these areas this year, we are just going to have to find the time elsewhere. Entry for the big event this year is $1,000 alone plus travel, accom etc. There is a very big question now IF I'm going to sign up at all. Thanks for everyone's support thus far MOTUL Australia - Cars, Chequered Tuning, Tao Shangguan and everyone else that has helped.
  14. Yep, that is exactly what you can do.
  15. Is this the elusive yellow Evo?
  16. Thanks to O-brake Australia & RacePace Motorsport our Sandown track day is almost here. Saturday 4th of April is only a few weeks away. While we don't have natsoft timing on the day, you can use your phone / lap timer. This day is going to be relaxed with lots of laps! So a good day to try out damper settings, aero, tyres pressures and driving technique. Oh and the passenger laps, so bring your partner, friends and family along. We have a special driver skills group for those that are new, or just want some tips on getting around the track faster. Enter via the link below, if you don't have a CAMS license yet still use the entry link below. Just type TBA in the CAMS license field. If you are TBA'ing your license you will need to complete the CAMS forms and bring them along on the day, this is only for SAU VIC members, if you are a member of another club you'll need to do this via your club. https://www.meecamsau.com/
  17. Will be great to see it when it's all done.
  18. Abe's work is top notch. Will be interesting to see what response and power it all makes.
  19. The day ran well concidering the car failures and oil down.
  20. Difference between this and SS2 are?
  21. So boss, likes.
  22. Can you keep the AFM, as most people do. So if you are doing more like for like testing it would make sense.
