Hi there I noticed there were some differences in torque between the series 1 and 2 RB25DET engines.
Series 1: 250 ps (183.88 kw) / 6400 rpm - 30.0 kg*m (294.20 N*m) / 3200 rpm
Series 2: 250 ps (183.88 kw) / 6400 rpm - 30.0 kg*m (294.20 N*m) / 4800 rpm

Where is the extra torque from the series 1 motor coming from. And if it has something to do with the valve timing - does this make the series 1 the superior engine for modification? The series 1 is more powerful out of factory?
Just gettin' in to Skylines sorry and looking to purchase one. Need to know if the s1 is the better base engine.
