  1. Slide us a PM if anyone has a RB25DET in good condition. Don't need manifolds or anything. 33 pref. Cheers.
  2. Yeah leaning towards that. Worst thing is I'm an apprentice mechanic lol. gonna rip the starter out and strip it.
  3. Sorry forgot to list that, I hit it with the hammer, nothing. I bridged the 12v to the soilenoid and it spins up, but still won't start the car even with the ignition on
  4. 33 S1 manual sedan. You turn the key to crank it, and nothing. Dash lights on, AFCR comes on, fuel pump primes etc. Starter motor doesn't even give it a shot. Battery is new, and vehicle started on it till now. Checked starter fuse, it's fine. Checked battery voltage, it's fine. voltage at engine bay fusebox is fine. Voltage at starter motor is fine. Checked continuity on starter motor earth, it's fine. With ignition on, immobilizer off, I bridged the starter motor and it spins like mad, but doesn't start the car. Vehicle roll starts. Anyone have any ideas? I searched, buy nothing relevant to starter motor not even cranking came up! Cheers
  5. I was next to you at the lights a while ago and my mate was tellin me how awesome your car looks. though he really doesn't know much about cars "LOOK ALEKS LOOK AT THE 34 GTR NEXT TO US!! RACE IT DUDE, RACE IT I WANNA SEE YOU GET THRASHED" Aleks
  6. Couple of weeks. See you a lot around mawson lakes too. Or I hope its you, the paint job stands, and it's NA right? Aleks
  7. Well currently I'm on 10 sick days a week. Minimum pay for union members is $25 an hour. Where do you work as a mechanic? And all trades are hard on the body not just mechanics. you make it seem as if plumbers and sparkies get paid to sit on the asses all day. And the car is by far not the most complicated thing in the world. I doubt the most complicated thing in the world is even a vehicle, and IF it is it sure as shit ain't a car/truck. Mining will be back on the rise. What do you think Australia plans on doing with all this uranium and no nuclear power plants? smoke it? I have friends who drive cars with factory warranties. But honestly, what would I rather buy? the r33 of my childhood dreams or a hyuandai getz/toyota yaris? Each to his own. there is money in everything, you just gotta find it. Aleks
  8. In the army, you don't get toilet breaks. Imagine the pressure after a 12 hour shift Also, on that note, appanrently some chick from MTA just got a $110,000 diesel mchanic job out near lee creek i think Aleks
  9. Wow murray bridge. You live around the Salisbury area? I always see you turning onto main north road from frost rd. Aleks
  10. Hilarious, but you'll luse all your left over energy laughing and then pass out Aleks
  11. Aw11's are weak even with the Z. Ae86 is such a mad car i didn't even think of it when i made the title And LOL SUPRA WHAT? it's like an overweight soarer!. Aleks For the next 2 weeks $4000 In two weeks there will be no more urgency and price will go back to $5000. Get in while you can. Aleks
  12. Off topic, but i'm in my second week of the 10 as a motor mechanic Aleks
  13. Ever seen freddy got fingered? Never, EVER will I cut the cord. lol. That's cruel! Aleks
  14. Mining is up to shit yeah. Thousands of miners are getting cut. The machines are still there, the machines still need maintainence. Few weeks ago in the advertiser I saw a diesel mechanic job 2 weeks on 2 weeks off somewhere in northern SA offering $145,000. But you'd want to be in a field you enjoy. I want to get into a racing team/rally team and it's easiest as a mechanic. Pay is great + i might end up as a driver one day. Bottom line, you basically see what your option are and see what fields you'd want to work in. Between IT, plumbing, electrician, mechanic i chose mechanic. Why? because none of the other options appealed to me. I wouldn't work a job I hate for an extra $10k. Each to his own. Also, MTA allows you to do any course work on your own car Aleks
  15. You cut the cord? I wear I would pass out trying lol... GL with the pregnancy pokie Aleks
  16. Diesel mechanics get payed 6 digits. On top of that, motor mechanic allows you to get into the mining industry, especially if after you get your qualification in motor mechanics or diesel mechanics AND a management cert. Mechanic wages are on the rise too. A crap mechanic gets crap pay. fair call. A good mechanic's gonna get payed a lot. Things such as working on prestige cars/being a popular tuner/rallly/race/drift teams. Also a good way to get into driving http://www.mtagts.asn.au/ is who i do my motor mechanic apprenticeship with. They're strict, but as long as you don't mess around you're fine. My 2 cents, Aleks
  17. One idea would be to charge dealers a monthly free to post on there. Seems every site charges them a trader's free + a fee per add they post, so if you charge them only a traders free and say you give them like 5 - 10 FREE adds... I think they'd like that and you could actually profit Aleks EDIT: When searching for cars you have added an ALL MODELS option. But currently you must leave SELECT on the make option to get that to come up. Would seem a little more tidy if you added an "ALL MAKE" option to the makes Just to make it seem that little bit more professional Also, When you open an add, I can't seem to find the actual state in the add. only the suburb. Just saying it coz I hardly know a quarter of the suburbs in SA, i got no chance to guess nationally
  18. Need this car gone, ASAP so for this week only! $4,500 FIRM Doesn't get better than this guys. Aleks
  19. Also check on the door and door arches. Was lookin at buying a 180SX today and found it hidden down in a corner near the hinge... Aleks
  20. Contact: Aleks Email: [email protected] Phone: 0430 469 200 Location: Northern suburbs, Adelaide SA Hi, sadly it's time for me to part with my MZ20 as I now have the funds to buy an R33 It's an '89, last year of build and also a face lifted model. It's bare stock, no mods. Rundown is basically. - 7M-GTE ~160 - 170KW @ the rears - 4 speed Auto - Electric everything - Digital dash - Factory LSD in excellent condition - 140,000km on the clock. - Cruise control - Head gasket replaced and new headstuds retorqued to appropriate level ( factory was not enough - causes trouble on 7Ms) - Clarion CD player + 6x9's in the back. - Many hoses replaced, professional cooling system flush done + new top radiator tank 1 of two for sale in South Australia, one of the cheapest for sale in all of OZ! The exterior is a white pearl and grey two tone. The paint is immaculate. Interior is tan suede (sp?) + brown leather. Interior immaculate, no burns, stain, nothing! Car handles beautifully. Turbo is a high flow CT26 which hits 7psi by 3000rpm. Very responsive, surprising in a car this large. Car still has the factory Soarer matching floor mats and also came factory with the chrome wind guards on the windows. Dash is digital, which means tacho, speedo, fuel left and engine temp are all on there. Climate control works, but does need regassing. You have controls for it on the steering wheel. Wheel is factory as I didn't want to lose that. Rims are R32 GTS-T rims, though you'd all be able to tell that anyway bout 30% tread on rear 80% on front. Owner before me kept the car in a shed and never drove it! CONS The only con is that the big end bearings are starting to wear. They cost $110 new, but labor is gonna be fairly expensive, but I think at the given price this is very fair. They've not deteriated to dangerous levels, they're still good for now. Engine compression is excellent. When I bought the car it was serviced with penrite hpr20. has barely done 4000kms since then! Car needs to sell in the next to weeks! Price is mildly negotiable, i've had many people calling for this price, but none can come through with the funds! I have a deposit on a R33 so this car needs to go! ASAP $5,000. Cheers, Aleks
