  1. sounds good mate! I have pretty much the same system but I've got a cannon on the end (it came with the 2nd hand exhaust I bought) Was considering getting the varex muffler, sounds good, I was considering Lukey/Magnaflow before though
  2. Rather unreasonable to spend about 6-7k for a body kit though .. if you just got the lower lip it'd be alright though I guess But all that money could be well spent elsewhere
  3. Anything east bear is expensive mate
  4. There are washes in between the claying n polishing n after the polishing mate ive learned a ton from the FI forums since november of last year, and got a job at a detailer in Perth
  5. That is amazing that he did all that from home!! Thanks heaps for the link mate was great to read and have a look at
  6. Just to let everyone know, picked up a Haynes Sport Compact Performance book today Amazingly Repco charged me 6 bucks for the book which was 60 bucks

Will confirm once you let us know of the date? *Edit* - Also, can anybody recommend where to get a helmet from? Sorry for the noobieness I've never done anything like this before! Also, will it be okay if I'm on my green P's? Cheers
  10. i THINK im talking about lens covers - I just mean the plastic stuff thats put over the light bulbs ive seen alot of posts with people trying to fit the East Bear LEDS into the stock ones or something like that
  11. is that with the stock taillight covers charles? ( the EB ones )
  12. 120!! Thats an amazing deal on an amazing set of lights mate, congrats! Did 666Dan made a set of LED lights for R34 taillights? Gotta check em out! The east bear and nismo are rather expensive ... although they most probably are the best looking lights for the 34 out there
  13. charles what tail lights have you got in ur r34? They look sick! are they the nismo/east bear ones?
  14. also, is that a gtt or gt-r bonnet with a vent that you posted? Can't find a gtt bonnet with a vent like that anywhere
  15. that looks like the URAS one man pretty sure thats the one
  16. i do love meguiars stuff, but now that ive found final inspection ... theres just no comparison! check em out mate, im mad about my detailing and nothing can match FI stuff these days, im just trying to use up all my old meg's goods and replacing em one by one with FI goodies
  17. James thats a shame about SAUWA Yeah i've found a few other cruise clubs and stuff .. headcase has one as well And I'll head down to JPC sometime during the week and shop around a bit, cheers for the contact! Well the car's N/A for now, but I hope to be able to do the turbo conversion one day in the future when i don't get charged millions to insure a turbo car, so I figured while its n/a I'd do the mods that would be good to have even when its turbo ... and just good to have anyway like suspension/brakes etc but 2.5k to 3k does seem alot, especially when compared to the 1.3k BC coilovers! Sydneykid was the one who wrote the threads on mono/twin tube shocks, and gave me something to think about rather than just the BC's. Warps - cheers for the info on suspension mate! Really helpful
  18. lots more research to go before I can even make a vague decision! not even too sure about the whole "adjustable suspension" or even the major differences between coilovers/shock-strut setups really LOL sadly enough .. slowly getting there though, i at least now know that monotube shock-strut set ups are the best cos their more sensitive and accurate .. need to read up more on coilovers though! also bilstein + whiteline set up seems expensive ...
  19. Sounds good! I'd love to come, the skylines n/a and I've never done anything on a track before though, but would love to give it a go and have some fun!
  20. in a sort of answer to my own question, ive seen a few people recommend varex, magnaflow and lukey (which are apparently quite similar but lukey slightly quieter .. in which case id go lukey!) any other opinions?
  21. Hey guys, nice post! My cars got a custom 2.5" mandrel bent mild steel cat back, the usual recommendations, i got it second hand off someone in the forums, center muffler included! The muffler at the end is due to be replaced soon, I was told it'd crack in about 6 months time (when i bought it which was well over 6 months ago I think - but I don't really drive all too much anymore these days so perhaps thats why) I'm not a huge fan of cannons in general, I prefer a more subtle look and was planning to replace it with a good oval twin tip muffler on the end .. Any brands recommended?
  22. Noob question .. sorry! My car is running standard stock suspension, but on my last service one or two of my shocks were leaking apparently and need to be replaced I was planning on replacing everything with the BC Racing BR coilover set since thats gotten alot of good reviews on these forums and they go for a nice price, But i've seen a few posts highly recommending a bilstein shock/whiteline spring set up. My car's N/A so definitely not going to go hardcore tracking, atm its only street driven but I want to get into some track days and stuff soon, but I'm not going all out or anything I just want the fun and experience of a track day .. so i thought the BC stuff would be alright BC's go for about 1300 I think? I can probably stretch the budget a bit further (I can probably just hold out on the suspensions a bit longer and save up more to do it the best way the first time, they werent leaking too badly I think) I've also read a thread and a few pages on how monotube shocks are alot better than twin tubes, looking at pictures of the BC's im pretty sure their twin tubes? For a mainly street driven car, will this make a big difference? I love my car and want to do good mods to it, and also dont want to put some cheaper twin tubes in and then one day find that I feel the urge to upgrade to monotubes ... So the main question is, for your average car with a few track days ... is it worth it for me to do a shock/spring combo like bilsteins/whiteline with a good monotube shock, or a coilover kit such as the BCs? Also, another noobier question, if i was to get a coilover kit such as the BC's, if/when they do need to get replaced ... say the shock only is damaged or only the spring is damaged .. would you be able to change just that one component? or would you need to change the whole coilover? Or am I ranting about something that makes no sense? If i am .. sorry! I'm getting really confused with all this Lastly, is it possible to change your coilovers etc yourself? I'm not really knowledgable or any good at doing stuff, but if its possible I'd love to be able to give it a go myself. Thanks for any help guys, hope ive done enough research before asking my questions
  23. Hey guys, late post I know but if anybodys interested, I have from a friend a set of R34 GT-R Nismo Suspension, I'm not too sure which type but if your interested ill post up some pics etc Let us know by PM if interested
  24. I was thinking of the BC Racing series since their apparently good value for money, but ive seen alot of group buys on the forum for the Bilstein Shock/Whiteline springs setup and they seem to have gotten alot of good reviews but ill keep reading the suspension forum and ill figure it out!
  25. oh no its not that, i just meant that on my last service the mechanic told me my shocks were leaking and should probably be replaced sometime soon, so i thought of just replacing them with a good aftermarket set of coilovers it also looks kind of silly not lowered when its got 18s and I've heard that people advise against just putting lowered springs on factory shocks if im not wrong
