can a windscreen place do like the rubber trimming on the door/glass there too? mine are fudged sorry to hijack thread -
LOL thinking of getting rid of that fridge to build another shelf actually ... the current one is running out of space - fml.

too many products ...? LOL no offence taken mate - I have a slight case of OCD. top shelf = products to get the car ready for the good stuff - washes, polishes, degreasers, GPC etc etc mid shelf = all products for that final touch - interior trim stuff, waxes, sealants lower shelf = all cloths - i would estimate over 100, all different in brand/quality depending on what area of the car they are for and what kind of car they are for and seperately labelled so that no contamination can occur +2 more boxes of products that are rarely used - but can be quite useful at times oh and my pads and Bosch GEX150T arent on display there and a shipment of at least 5 new products and perhaps another 10 cloths/applicator pads is also coming in its such a shame most of my older products which work decently end up going into the boxes as they are never used anymore, i keep finding newer and better products to use
-
Also consider: Final Inspection SEAL Strong or just check out waxit - tons of sealants there, just find one that suits your budget all the best oh and dont forget applicator pads to apply and a cheap wash mitt to maintain it .. and a cheap MF to remove the sealant maybe 2 MF's depending on the product

Haha I got my cars bodykit done with greg! Great guy, gives tons of help and support - i still need to get my skirts repainted Haven't had time to be without my car for so long, itll prob have to wait till the next bunkzilla comes in so i have something to get around in And thanks so much! Ill contact Greg Mates rates definitely apply if you ever need a detail Also - JDMWA Cruise #4? I should be there, hopefully I can finish the detail on Colins 34 Sedan earlier that day itself But will be good to cruise together at last! And btw I still think the 33 looks mad tough without a spoiler - but the gt-r spoilers definitely an improvement! -
hey buddy, two ways of keeping wheels clean one is as mentioned, apply some kind of sealant on them - and when washing your car, get an old or cheap wash mitt and wash the wheels with normal car shampoo or you can use a good wheel cleaner (I highly recommend FI PWC) and a soft bristle brush every wash or two depending on how much brake dust you get I generally only do mine once a month, my wheels are a dark colour as a note, do not use wheel cleaner on sealed wheels, this will remove the sealant on them! sealing them will make brake dust come off very easily each time you wash my personal preference is to clean them to perfection then seal them and yes, those are nice wheels to clean! mine have 10 thin spokes = pain.

I want teh turbo Looking forward to your next steps on the car This is one of my favourite threads to follow heaps of good ideas for me to do on my next bunkzie -
I dont think a machine polish would remove paint mate .. it removes a micro sized layer highly doubt it would remove a whole layer of paint! .. in fact id be quite worried if it could ..
-
im curious to see if itll restore something like faded paint .. obviously it wont bring back the clear coat but i wonder how well itll work might try it on my next bunkie for some lols
-
I did the exact same thing when I got my 34 off the ship was a bit of a disaster since I didnt know what I was doing and i polished the whole car without buffing it off as i went LOL was a nightmare to remove im actually really curious to see just how well a machine polish can restore paint though, none of my cars or any car i have ever done a machine polish on has been too bad to begin with, usually just some swirl marks etc

i never knew soarers could look so good. i want!

Detailed, 34Sedan (No Buffer - Hand)

as long as your vents arent too dirty its fine, i get a bit anal and get some water or GPC and a paintbrush and brush around there .. brushes are also good for getting areas like badges on the outside clean if you get a DA polisher like the meguiars ones their really safe - but hard to do much paint correction Random Orbitals are good stuff, especially ones with forced rotation - not really too hard but doesnt look like your paint needs it nah ill keep procrastinating on the wisdom teeth i think the door has been fixed! greg at spoiler shop loosened the hinges, jacked the door up, and then tightened it up again and it seems to have fixed the problem, but the skirts are still paintless, need to get em off and repainted - $300 -

tech wax is definitely a great wax by far my favourite off the shelf product. hope you kept washing in between each stage! very important to wash again after clay barring and polishing the car to make sure the cars perfectly clean for the next stage. what about wheels/tyres! - i found meguiars hot wheels cleaner to be near useless btw, but most of their products are pretty good. the next steps you can take are to start cleaning up your door jambs, boot jambs, inside the petrol lid with something like a general purpose cleaner and then giving them a coat of quick wax - something like the meguiars spray waxes or spray detailers would be great there. and engine bay is another area you could work on. if you want another step up in your detailing get some paintbrushes from bunnings, something like final inspections GPC, and clean every nook and cranny in your interior - especially air vents and around the gearstick boot etc. and finally paint correction by machine if you're really keen hope that gives you some ideas, but looks like a job well done! btw im due for my wisdom teeth too -
+1 I was not really a fan even though I love the shape of 32s cant imagine that n/a

Looking For An R34 Front Bumper Any Ideas?
Jonno34 replied to Tarek_r32's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Tarek - I have Impul sides/rear on mine If you want that east bear bonnet in black they also make it in CF and i think to fit that you either need a GTT front bumper + bonnet mole or a gt-r style front bumper Allesandro - i get my haircut by you! and also - theres a thread on DIY lips from like a rubber seal thingo i think charles89 was the guy who posted it would be great if you just want a plain black front lip on the bottom of your bumper -

How To Get Rid Of Hard Water Marks From Windows
Jonno34 replied to Kujotk's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
its hard to explain but it basically looks like its peeling and stuff in spots? i think thats what happened anyway, cos the tint on the familys XC90 was peeling and flaking off in places and when we showed it to tint a car their first reaction was - windex? ive been told by people who install tinting and final inspection and other good detailers its just unsafe on tint the people who installed the security tint/film on my house glass also told me not to use windex anymore - microfibre and warm water the stuff we use to clean windows at my work seems like windex though - and it hasnt caused any damage and ive done more than a 100 cars with it ... i just wouldnt risk it on any of my cars with so many professionals warning me against it much cheaper in the long run to just buy a good MF and a good auto glass cleaning solution than to just use windex and find out one day in the future that it buggers up your tint imo if someone with more knowledge could clear up exactly what it does to tint that would be great -
^ i got mine for about 350 .. no pads though but from melb you'd have to pay delivery and whatnot ... about the same really hahah if you go down the bunnings route http://sydneytools.com.au/shopexd.asp?id=1243&bc=no show them that

we do a similar thing where i work .... to remove any old glue from stickers or when doing a brand new car the paint on the windows .. it seems to work okay but im not too sure on the whole "safety" and stuff of it .. personally wouldnt try it on my car a point to note though is if the car has tinting DO NOT use windex on the interior glass warm water with a good microfibre is much better, or something like stoners invisible glass - make sure its safe on tint!!!
