Aw dont give up! We are so close to a conclusion. Why cant we measure the cpm speed by the e/shaft?
-
Oh yeah...bugger if it doesn't work. I may have to install a custom one because I doubt that the r32 sensor will work or fit. As avril says, 'why does it have to be so complicated'. Just anpther gauge i have to crowd into my cockpit. Unless the r32 sender does actually fit. I dont have my old motor so I will have to borrow one from somewhere.

I am going to look up if its the same. If it is I am interested. Cheers!

I'm not 100% convinced on this rotory only doing 3000rpm. I mean each rotor does 3 combustions per cylcle where as the piston only produces 1. So in total a 13b produces 6 combustions per cycle which is why it sounds like it is reving really high. I think revs maybe an incorrect way of comparing a piston to a rotor and cpm is more accurate. So i suppose it is the most similar to a 6 cylinder 4 stroke?
-
Because a large number of rotary huggers don't know that, while their tacho is showing 9,000 rpm, the rotors are only doing 3,000 rpm. I'm just adding to their knowledge bank Actually when it is showing 9,000rpm it is running at 9,000rpm. People times that figure by three and think its running at 27,000rpm.

Hey guys, Just had an r33 gtr engine installed on my 32, everything is good except for my water temp sensor (the one on the front of the engine) might not be working. The wiring had continuity because when i touched the end on the valve my guage went to full, so obviously my guage is working also. These tiny little simple screw like things cost over $100! Thats how much I paid for my clutch master cylinder and booster...anyway, how could such a simple component break? Can I spray it with a magic solvent like WD40 and all will be good? Jez

Is Going From 34gtt To 32gtr Upgrade Or Downgrade
Jez13 replied to danieltangtc's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Your car (assumings its the one in the sig) is only a couple of years newer. Its like comparing a VC commodore and a Vk commodore, in another 5 years they are both going to look equally old. -
mister 'denie' is correct. Not with his spelling but the words in your mouth statement is true. It has happened to me on several occasions. On the fist I admitted i was doing 10km over when they asked how fast I was going - they game me a warning and let me go though. And I thought to myself, what if I deny or denie doing anything but the speedlimit. Have been pulled up probably once a year in the past four years and the same scenario - denied it and got out of it. It seems there is nothing they can do unless you confess... It may be different for highway patrol with mounted radars.

Nope, you can see me hanging around the girl with 3...er...puppies. Can I say boobies outside of wasteland?

Yeah I hate it when I'm on mars with all that dust too.

Yeah that crap got inside my garage too. Lucky its not nuclear. I wonder if driving through this stuff would have any affect on cars using pods?

My brother will gladly come and help. Has some engineering qualifications so he should be able to operate a sticky tape dispenser. PM me if you are serious. He is over there now somewhere near Tokyo.

I am guessing stateside is the USA. Is there much GTR support over there? -
Gt-r Oil Pressure Guage
Jez13 replied to hossboss's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
What would you consider a decent gauge? Any suggestions of brands etc? -
Isn't a GTR engine much stronger also? Rods etc?
-
Aw come on, no silly stuff? I was going to wear a fake afro. I guess I can just wear my doo rag.

Gt-r Oil Pressure Guage
Jez13 replied to hossboss's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Yep, my oil pump blew and I thought it was just a faulty gauage sender. An expensive lesson learnt indeed. If I were to see any variations with my gauge again I will take it straight to my mech. Get the sender sorted out straight away or install an external guage completely. Try not to take it too lightly because you never know.... -
R32 Gtr: Very Difficult To Select Gears
Jez13 replied to omega36's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Also if I were to replace the clutch master and slave cylinders with new ones - which ones are compatable? Are the gtst/180sx ones compatable? Or are they GTR only parts? -
Yes, your right on the money, it is easier to select gears after I pump the clutch! Thank heavens for this forum. I am going to bleed the system tonight and on the weekend I am going to get new seals for the slave cylinder. Hopefully that will fix the problem. I hope it isn't the gb. Cheers for the help, most appreciated!

R32 Gtr: Very Difficult To Select Gears
Jez13 replied to omega36's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Geez, I have the same issues but also I have trouble engaging in general. Going to get the whole clutch bled and tested asap. You should do the same as its the cheapest and seemingly the most obvious thing to check out before digging into worn syncros. Time to get under there and grab that nipple, haha. And omega 36, how hard was it to source and replace a new clutch diaphram (+ total cost)? -
Hi Guys, I had an exedy heavy duty clutch installed on my 32 gtr free of charge (warranty). If it was not for free I would have opted for Jim Berry. I am having trouble getting into my gears, 1st gear especially. And often when shifting from 3rd to 4th i sometimes get a grinding noise. It was not doing it before the clutch was installed. Perhaps adjustment is needed. I have booked it in to the mechs next saturday but just thought I would check with skyline heads first on what could be the problem. Cheers.
-
I am seriously sorry to hear this mate, been reading a fair few of these. I think we should use these occurances as a message to all Skyline owners out there to be warned that our cars are now a targeted favourite for theives. I would hate to hear of anymore stolen cars and people ending up like this poor guy. Unfortunately this is now a nuisance for us but we can't leave our cars anywhere where we cant see them. And if you have been one of those people who have been pondering installing or upgrading there security systems (my hand is up) - get it done ASAP. Or you could....

What we need is a decoy hoon, like the guys from dukes of hazard. They can lead inspector smithe out into the bush for a couple of hours whilst the SAU cruise can travel in peace.
-
My N1 blew and I never hit the limiter. I pratically never even take it to 6k rpm.

Best wishes to you and your wife Nick. Take care and will probably see you on Putty Road.
